The partnership is set to provide Huawei Device consumers a hassle free shopping experience
Cairo, April 9th, 2013 – Jumia,
Africa’s largest, fastest-growing e-commerce retailer and Huawei, the
leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions
provider signed a strategic partnership to ensure that the latest
Huawei Devices’ products are available at Jumia, to offer Egyptian consumer top notch E-commerce experience.
The
agreement came to light after both parties realized that their
strategic goals and their mission statements are aligned. Internet
penetration has soared to 38% of the entire population of 83 million in
Egypt and with E-commerce as the fastest growing trend; penetration is
predicted to reach 5% by 2015.

Huawei
and Jumia combined their strength to serve an ever increasing customer
base who are always looking for the best value for money. The alliance
seeks to provide Huawei with best exposure for their products in
exchange for sustained availability of products at Jumia.

Jumia
recently received an investment of L.E175 million from leading growth
equity investor Summit Partners. The company is aggressively investing
in Africa and will use the funds for further growth in other countries.

للاجهزة، الشركة الرائدة في مجال تقديم حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات
والإتصالات بتوقيع عقد شراكة إستراتيجية لضمان توفر أحدث أجهزة هواوي على
موقع جوميه.
يستخدم
حوالي 38% من تعداد سكان مصر الذي يبلغ 83 مليون نسمة شبكة الإنترنت
ولزيادة الاقبال على التسوق الالكترونى والذى من المتوقع أن تصل نسبته الى 5
% في عام 2015، قامت جوميه وهواوى
بالإعلان عن هذه الإتفاقية بعد أن وحدت كل من الشركتين أهدافها
الإستراتيجية لضمان تحقيق مصالح مشتركة تهدف إلى إثراء التجربة الألكترونية
للمستهلك المصري.

متميز لمنتجات وأجهزة هواوي مقابل توفر المنتجات لدى جوميه.

هذه الإتفاقية الإستراتيجية لمصلحة كل من الشركتين".
وتأتي
هذه الشراكة في أعقاب إستثمارات ضخمة وصلت إلى 175 مليون جنيه حصلت جوميه
عليها وذلك من خلال شركة Summit Partners والتي تقوم بدعم المشروعات
النامية. وتقوم جوميه بإستثمارات موسعة في قارة أفريقيا كما ستعمل على
إستخدام هذه الأموال للتوسع في دول إضافية في القارة السمراء.
