The new Concept CLA Class

 Mercedes-Benz Group AG CEO Ola Källenius unveiled the forerunner to a whole new model family at the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion on Apothekenhof at the Munich Residence in the centre of the city. In the age of electric and digital innovation, this concept CLA defines the company’s vision to elevate the vehicle portfolio at the gateway to the brand. Based on the new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA), it makes its mark through long-range efficiency, pioneering innovation, a beautiful and extraordinary aesthetic, sustainable materials and an entirely new operating system, MB.OS. The Concept CLA Class was revealed at a special Pre-Night event at the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion, complete with an appearance by tennis legend Roger Federer, a kinetic light show and a live music performance from French pianist Sofiane Pamart.

World premiere – E-Class All-Terrain 

Mercedes-Benz is proud to present the world premiere of the E-Class All-Terrain – the latest member of the new E-Class family. As the most versatile E-Class variant, the All-Terrain combines stand-out looks with the impressive functionality of the Estate and the wide-ranging innovations of the new E-Class generation. The All-Terrain “all-rounder” ushers in a range of modifications over the standard model: more ground clearance, larger wheels, switchable off-road modes, plus 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the E-Class All-Terrain is engineered to make light work of dirt roads and gravel tracks.

At this year’s IAA Mobility, Mercedes-AMG revealed the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept E PERFORMANCE. Using technology transfer from the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, the hybrid system combines the qualities of a powerful V8 petrol engine with those of an Electric Drive Unit on the rear axle, delivering more than 800 hp.

Lamborghini Abu Dhabi & Dubai announces UAE finalists for The Real Race Esports Programme

 

Finalists will compete in The Real Race finals to be held in Nürburgring, Germany in July 2023, along with other top racers from all over the world.

 

 

Dubai, UAE, June 07, 2023: Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai announced the top three UAE finalists for The Real Race Esports Programme to be held in Nürburgring, Germany, in July 2023. The Real Race Esports tournament began in May 2023 for participants to compete and become an official Lamborghini Esports driver. Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai became the first dealer in the world to participate in the programme and visited prominent schools and universities in the UAE to identify and recruit talented student and racing enthusiasts to participate in the programme.

The initiative, which seeks to promote and showcase emerging talents in the automotive industry by engaging enthusiasts in the Esports arena, is the result of the company’s commitment to innovation and passion for motorsport. As part of the program, students with exceptional lap performances were given the opportunity to showcase their racing skills at Lamborghini’s showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The top three finalists – Vinn Kuejpers, Ruslan Khamidullina, and Connor McGowan – were selected from these showdowns and will compete in The Real Race finals that will feature other top racers from around the globe.

 

The final grid will feature 23 drivers, including 16 qualified drivers and one wildcard qualifier each from Paul Ricard, Spa-Francorchamps, and Nürburgring, in addition to the three from Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai. These finalists and wildcard competitors will be invited to the Fanatec Arena to compete in an on-site grand finale that will take place in conjunction with the GT World Challenge race weekend at the renowned Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit.

Bentley MEAI 17-strong retailer network certified to PAS 2060 carbon neutral specification by the Carbon Trust

(Crewe, 15 May 2023) Bentley Motors confirms that its complete Middle East, Africa, and India (MEAI) retailer network of 17 sites has achieved carbon-neutral certification. The accreditation, verified by the Carbon Trust, complements Bentley’s industry-leading sustainability programme at its carbon-neutral manufacturing headquarters in Crewe, England, where all Bentley models are built.

 

Bentley’s path to sustainability is a driving force behind the company’s Beyond100 strategy. Announced in 2020, the plan targets sustainable mobility leadership, reinventing every aspect of the business. One such aim is for all Bentley retailers around the world to achieve carbon-neutral status by 2025.

 

Over the course of 2022, the 17 retailers across the MEAI region, worked closely with the Carbon Trust to achieve carbon-neutral PAS 2060 status. Individual dealerships are now implementing the first steps of their own carbon reduction plans, as part of the re-certification process for 2023.
