At Mobile World Congress 2017, in Barcelona, Spain, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) is presenting pioneering solutions for the digital frontier, a new landscape where the expanding mobile ecosystem brings together technological and commercial ingenuity. Across more than 70 proof points and demonstrations, Ericsson and its partners and customers will showcase how they are leading the way with tomorrow’s technology and use cases.

In the outer area of Hall 2, Ericsson and King’s College London have the “Internet of Skills” on display. In thisdemo, visitors can try on a haptic glove connected to sensors on a patient, simulating a remote health examination as an example of how the tactile internet can support mission-critical tasks.Also in the open area, a wall represents how future digital infrastructure designs will evolve. Watch an autonomous robot move faster than people as it reconfigures a large-scale system to meet the changing needs of compute, storage and network.

Via Virtual Reality, visitors can experience a 21stcentury education at a Connect to Learn school in Myanmar. As with previous years and in keeping with the GSMA focus on sustainability, visitors can engage with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and learn more about Ericsson’s numerous projects with customers and partners to advance society.

INTERACT WITH THE INTERNET OF THINGS

Ericsson and China Mobile have jointly developed a 5G-enabled Smart Factory prototype using key 5G Core Network technology - Network Slicing. The demo will simulate the assembly line in the Smart Factory environment, enabled by the 5G connected industry standard PLC connections.

More cellular IoT use cases for Smart Cities, Fleet Management, Smart Buildings, Smart Agriculture, and manufacturing enabled by Cat-M1 and NB-IoT technologies will be demonstrated jointly with leading operators and ecosystem partners.

EVOLUTION TO 5G            

Ericsson is showcasing its frontrunner 5G solutions with use cases and proof points.In another live demonstration with Intel, the cross-vendor 5G over-the-air 28GHz trial radio and device platform will be up and running, with Ericsson’s award winning 5G Test Bed and Intel’s 5G Mobile Test Platform.  

In support of the ever-increasing and global demand for high speed mobile data services, Ericsson will be providing comprehensive showcases of Gigabit Class LTE. The launch of the Gigabit Class LTE service offering bolsters Ericsson’slatest 5G portfolio launches.

Ericsson and Sprint will jointly demonstrate LTE technology advances to show 1 Gbps class performance over 60 MHz of LTE TDD spectrum, an industry first. Using both licensed and unlicensed spectrum, Ericsson, AT&T, Orange and Qualcomm Technologieswill show Gigabit Class LTE as a way to increase capacity and improve performance across existing networks.

A main attraction for visitors will be the remote-controlled car driving demo between Ericsson and Telefonica Spain. Visitors can get behind the wheel and test connectivity to an off-site car over a 5G trial system.

تستعرض اريكسون (المسجلة في ناسداك: أريك) خلال المؤتمر العالمي للاتصالات المتنقلة لعام 2017 في برشلونة بإسبانيا، الحلول الريادية في المجال الرقمي، ويمثل ذلك رؤية جديدة حيث ستؤدي المنظومة المتوسعة للاتصالات المتنقلة إلى التأسيس لمرحلة جديدة في هذا المجال تتميز بالريادة في المجال التكنولوجي والتجاري، حيث ستعمل اريكسون وشركاؤها وعملاؤها عبر أكثر من 70 استعراض وتجربة على إظهار ريادتهم للمستقبل عبر التكنولوجيات المستقبلية وحالات الاستخدام الخاصة بها.

وستقوم إريكسون بالتعاون مع كلية كينجز في لندن باستعراض "إنترنت المهارات"، حيث سيكون بإمكان الزوار في الصالة رقم 2 تجربة القفازات اللمسية المتصلة بجهاز استشعار على المريض يمكن استخدامه لإجراء الفحوصات الطبية عن بعد وذلك في سبيل إظهار قدرة الإنترنت على المساندة في المهام الصعبة أو ذات الرسالة السامية. إضافة إلى ذلك سيتم في الصالة المفتوحة تقديم عرض يبين كيفية التطور المستقبلي لتصاميم البنية التحتية الرقمية، حيث سيطلع الزوار على رجل آلي مزود بنظام متجدد وثوري سيمنحه القدرة على التحرك بسرعة اكبر من الإنسان وذلك استجابة للحاجات المتزايدة للحوسبة، التخزين والشبكات.

وسيختبر الزوار وفي اطار العالم الافتراضي تجربة التعليم الخاصة بالقرن 21 وذلك من خلال التعرف على مدرسة التعلم بالاتصال في ميانمار. وكما في الأعوام الماضية وبالتزامن مع تركيز الجمعية الدولية لشبكات الهاتف المحمول على نواحي الاستدامة، سيتمكن الزوار من المشاركة في اهداف الأمم المتحدة للاستدامة والتعرف على مشاريع إريكسون المتعددة لتحقيق التطور على صعيد المجتمع بالتعاون مع شركائها وعملائها.

التفاعل مع انترنت الأشياء

قامت كل من شاينا موبايل وإريكسون في شراكة متميزة بتطوير المصانع الذكية النموذجية المزودة بتقنية الجيل الخامس وذلك بالاستناد إلى أجزاء الشبكة والتي تعتبر العنصر الأساسي للشبكة الأساسية لتكنولوجيا الجيل الخامس، حيث سيتم استعراض هذه الخدمة من خلال محاكاة خطوط التجميع لمحيط المصانع الذكية المزودة بتكنولوجيا الجيل الخامس وفقاً لمعايير روابط التحكم الصناعي.

وإضافة إلى ذلك، سيشهد المؤتمر الكثير من العروض المتعلقة بحالات استخدام إنترنت الأشياء الخليوي للمدن الذكية، إدارة الأساطيل، الأبراج الذكية، الزراعة الذكية، والصناعة الممكنة من خلال تقنيات Cat-M1 و NB-IoT والتي سيتم استعراضها بالشراكة مع المشغلين الرائدين والشركاء في المنظومة القطاعية.

التطور باتجاه تقنية الجيل الخامس      

وستقوم إريسكون باستعراض حلول تقنية الجيل الخامس الاستثنائية مع حالات استخدامها وتجارب خاصة بها. حيث ستقوم بالتعاون مع إنتل وفي إطار إطلاق تكنولوجيا الجيل الخامس بإجراء تجارب حية لتشغيل منصة خاصة للأجهزة وللموجات للراديوية عبر الأثير بنطاق يبلغ مداه 28GHz، وذلك عبر التجارب الميدانية لتقنية الجيل الخامس من إريكسون والحائزة على جائزة للابتكار ومنصة التجارب الخاصة بالاتصالات المتنقلة لتكنولوجيا الجيل الخامس من إنتل. 

وستعمل إريكسون في إطار استجابتها للطلبات المتزايدة لخدمات بيانات الاتصالات المتنقلة ذات السرعة الفائقة، باستعراض  خدمات Gigabit Class LTE. إن إطلاق هذا النوع من الخدمات سيدعم إريكسون في إطار إطلاقها لأحدث المحفظات الخاصة بتكنولوجيا الجيل الخامس.

حيث ستعمل إريكسون بالتعاون مع سبرنت لعرض التطور الحاصل علة مستوى تكنولوجيا LTE والأداء الفعال لـ1 Gbps class عبر نطاق يبلغ مداه 60 MHz من أثير LTE TDD والأولى من نوعها في القطاع. Batelco selects Ericsson for Mobile Network Enhancement

·Batelco and Ericsson sign the biggest network deal to provide the latest innovative technologies to Bahrain customers including LTE-Advanced and expansion of VoLTE

The Mobile Network Enhancement Deal for 2017 – 2018 is the biggest deal between Ericsson and Batelco since their partnership began more than 35 years ago.

بتلكو توقع اتفاقية مع إريكسون لتطوير شبكات الهواتف المتحركة

أعلنت شركتا إريكسون وبتلكو عن توقيع اتفاقية تعاون في مجال تطوير شبكات الهواتف المتحركة الخاصة بمزود خدمات الاتصال البحريني. وتهدف هذه الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز ريادة بتلكو في سوق خدمات الاتصال وضمان أفضل تجربة للعملاء في مجال خدمات الهاتف المتحرك ذات النطاق العريض.

وتعتبر صفقة تطوير شبكات الهاتف المتحرك 2017 - 2018 الأكبر من نوعها بين إريكسون وبتلكو منذ انطلاق شراكتهما قبل أكثر من 35 عاماً.

PROFESSOR YEHEA ISMAIL AT AUC’S “FACULTY AT THE FOREFRONT” SERIES: BIOCHIPS WILL REVOLUTIONIZE CANCER DIAGNOSIS

February 26, 2017, Cairo – In the fifth series titled, “BioChips: Revolutionizing Future Disease Detection and Diagnosis”, held at The American University in Cairo (AUC), Yehea Ismail, director of the Nanoelectronics and Devices Center at AUC and Zewail City and professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at AUC discussed how BioChips are planned to replace more traditional medical diagnostic functions, such as cancer detection. “They are cheaper, faster and can be available widely, so they will allow advanced cancer detection to occur in areas not possible in the past. They will also enable “telemedicine,” which is the remote diagnosis or treatment of patients using technology. Biochips will revolutionize the way the medical field diagnoses cancer and other diseases by allowing for quicker and more effective treatment due to early and accurate diagnosis,” said Ismail.

Ismail discussed the research efforts carried out by the Center of Nanoelectronics and Devices at AUC in collaboration with Zewail University in designing and testing biochips to detect and diagnose some diseases and the future possibilities for developing the use of the chips.

Ismail explained that biochips are advanced electronic chips with the added functions of sensing and manipulating bio-cells. There are several types of biochips under development, including many types of sensors and actuators. Sensors are usually chemical, and actuators can be as complex as tiny mechanical pumps and channels (MEMs) to move fluids and cells. While these systems can be very accurate, they are hard to manufacture in large numbers and are expensive for customers. “Because of this, our research has focused on a subcategory of biochips that builds on the more standard and mainstream electronics technology: Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductors (CMOS),” he added.

The advantage of using standard CMOS technology, as he explained, is that there are many established places around the world that can manufacture any chip quickly, reliably, cheaply and in mass numbers. “The challenge is that we cannot build MEMs for moving cells and fluids in this standard technology. So, to replace MEMs, we are exploiting relatively newly discovered forces, where cells can be moved by applying electrical signals to electrodes without any mechanical parts. We are also replacing chemical sensors with physical sensors that can detect the physical characteristics of a cell.”

Ismail said, “We are building CMOS biochips that can apply electrical signals to electrodes on the chip to move sample cells. By sensing the motion of the cells, we can deduce some physical characteristics of the cells. These characteristics are different for normal and cancerous cells, which is what allows the presence of cancer to be detected.”

Biochips are part of a larger technological explosion in science and a new trend where electronics are integrated with other technologies into one tiny chip for a wide variety of purposes, such as medicine. While in the past, as Ismail explained, the communications and computation fields were pushing CMOS and biochip development forward, the biomedical field is now a new force driving developments in CMOS technology, which is leading to the creation of technologies like a biochip for cancer detection.

In the future, Ismail added, it is projected that biochips will be widely and cheaply available in pharmacies and medical offices, and they are expected to perform ever-more complex functions including full blood diagnosis, detection of a wide variety of diseases including viral ones, and DNA analysis.

“There will hopefully be a world of connected medical practices, from research and development to having an accessible medical detection device in people's home and, finally, treatment from a healthcare provider. This will be particularly relevant to cancer detection, but will certainly be applicable across all fields,” he said.

The Board of Capital Group Properties “CGP” flies from Abu Dhabi to Inaugurate the Construction of Alburouj

 
Cairo, February 26^th, 2017

Earlier today, the official inauguration of “Alburouj,” a rising star in the real estate industry, was steered by the real estate holding Companies Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG) and Al Ain Holding’s board of Directors. Present in the visit were: Chairman, Abdul Hamid Mohammed Saeed; Vice Chairman, Khadim Abdulla Aldarei; along with fellow Board Members, Jassim Alseddiqi and Mohammed Zaki; CEO of Abu Dhabi Capital Group Amit Wanchoo; CEO of Capital Group Properties, Walid El-Hindi; along with the General Counsel and Head of Legal for ADCG, Moataz Krishan, and members of the CGP team.
The eventful day was meant for chief representatives and decision makers to fly in from their Emirati headquarters and ascertain their continuous commitment, to the first official engagements in implementing CGP’s first real estate project in Egypt, Alburouj. The visit focused its attention on the start of the construction onsite, which started in parallel to the sales operation to show and demonstrate the commitment of the group on their time promise on the project’s delivery. The Board then moved to CGP’s newly opened Sales Center on Orouba street in Heliopolis for its official launch to the public, followed by a visit to the CGP headquarters in the fifth settlement, where the group discussed their plans for 2017 going forward.
Jassim Alseddiqi, Board member and spokesperson for the Emirati group, stated that “today represents a key milestone for both CGP and its holding Companies as the day marks our combined efforts to activate the Project and uphold our unwavering commitment to the Egyptian real estate market. قام اليوم أعضاء مجلس إدارة الشركات القابضة "أبو ظبى كابيتال جروب" و"العين" بإفتتاح مشروع "البروج" العقاري، وذلك بحضور السيد/ عبد الحميد محمد سعيد، رئيس مجلس الإدارة وكل من السيد/ خديم عبد الله الدرعي، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة، والسيد/ جاسم الصديقي، والسيد/ محمد زكي، والسيد/ إيميت وانتشو، الرئيس التنفيذى لشركة أبو ظبى كابيتال جروب، والمهندس/ وليد الهندي، الرئيس التنفيذى لشركة كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز، مع حضور المستشار العام ورئيس الشئون القانونية بشركة أبو ظبى كابيتال جروب السيد/ معتز كريشان، وممثلي فريق شركة كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز.

كان الهدف من اليوم الحافل أن يقوم كبار الرؤساء وصناع القرار فى الشركات الأم بزيارة موقع المشروع، تأكيدا على التزامهم المستمر في تنفيذ "البروج" وهو أول مشروع عقاري لشركة كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز في مصر. وركزت زيارة الوفد اهتمامها على بدء أعمال البناء في الموقع، والتي بدأت بالتوازي مع عمليات البيع لإثبات التزام المجموعة بوعودها الخاصة بموعد التسليم وإنجاز المشروع.

ثم انتقل الوفد إلى شارع العروبة في مصر الجديدة لافتتاح مركز المبيعات الرسمي للجمهور الخاص بشركة "كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز". تلا ذلك زيارة الوفد إلى مقر شركة كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز في التجمع الخامس، حيث عقد الوفد إجتماعاً تم خلاله مناقشة خطة الشركة للمضي قدما خلال عام 2017.

وصرح السيد/ جاسم الصديقي، عضو مجلس الإدارة والمتحدث الرسمى للمجموعة الإمراتية قائلاً: "إن ما شاهدناه اليوم يمثل نقطة تحول رئيسية لكل من شركة "كابيتال جروب بروبرتيز" والشركات القابضة، حيث يعكس اليوم الجهود المشتركة لتنفيذ مشروع "البروج" ويدعم التزامنا الراسخ للسوق العقاري المصري. ولقد وجدنا أنه من الضروري أن يكون لدينا فكر ريادى مختلف، وأن نقوم بتقديم مجتمعات سكنية متكاملة لا مثيل لها للشباب المصري، مع الالتزام بالجودة والتسليم في الوقت المحدد، إلى جانب توفير خطط أسعار غير مسبوقة".
