First A330-800 becomes airborne for its maiden flight

A330-800 flight-test programme now underway;

Toulouse, 06 November 2018 – The first A330-800 took off this morning at Blagnac in Toulouse, France at 10:31am local time, for its maiden flight taking place over south-western France. The aircraft, MSN1888, will perform the dedicated flight-physics tests required for this variant.

The crew in the cockpit comprise: Experimental Test Pilots Malcolm RIDLEY and François BARRE and Test-Flight Engineer Ludovic GIRARD. Meanwhile, monitoring the aircraft systems and performance in real-time at the flight-test-engineer’s (FTE) station are Catherine SCHNEIDER and Jose CORUGEDO BERMEJO. The A330-800’s certification development programme itself will last around 300 flight-test hours, paving the way for certification in 2019. Its sibling, the larger A330-900 family member, recently completed its development testing and certification programme which validated the A330neo Family’s common engines, systems, cabin and flight & ground operations.

Launched in July 2014, the latest generation of Airbus’ widebody family, the A330neo builds on the A330ceo’s proven economics, versatility and reliability while reducing fuel consumption by a further 14 per cent per seat. تولوز – 6 نوفمبر ٢٠١٨ – أعلنت شركة إيرباص عن إكمال طائرة A330-800 رحلتها التجريبية الأولى صباح الثلاثاء الموافق ٦ نوفمبر بعد أن أقلعت من تولوز في فرنسا في تمام الساعة ١٠:٣١ صباحاً بالتوقيت المحلي محلقة في أجواء جنوب غرب فرنسا. وستقوم الطائرة التي تحمل رقم MSN1888 بتجارب اختبارية هندسية متنوعة التي يتطلبها هذا النوع من الرحلات. 

ويشمل طاقم الرحلة طياري الرحلات الاختبارية مالكوم رايدلي وفرنسوا باريه ومهندس اختبار الرحلات لودفيك جيراد. فيما تولى كل من كاثرين شنايدر وخوسيه جورجيدو بيرميجو مهمات متابعة نظم الطائرة بشكل آني من خلال محطة هندسة اختبار الرحلات. وسيخضع برنامج اعتماد طائرة A330-800 لـ٣٠٠ ساعة طيران اختباري، ليمهد لاعتماد الطائرة من قبل الجهات المعنية في العام ٢٠١٩. 

هذا وقد خضعت مؤخراً الطائرة من طراز A330-900، وهو الطراز من العائلة عينها لبرنامج اختبار والاعتماد والذي أثبت كفاءة المحركات والنظم والمقصورات والعمليات المتعلقة بالطيران والعمليات الأرضية المشتركة لعائلة طائرات A330neo.

وتم اطلاق الجيل الجديد من عائلة طائرات إيرباص عريضة الهيكل A330neo في يوليو من العام ٢٠١٤ والذي يستند إلي اعتمادية ومرونة واقتصادية الجيل السابق من طائرات A330ceo إلى جانب قدرة الجيل الجديد على الحد من احتراق الوقود بمعدل ١٤ بالمئة للمقعد. وتشمل العائلة من خيار المحركات الجديدة NEO طرازين هما A330-800 وA330-900 بقدرة استيعابية تتراوح بين ٢٥٧ مقعداً للطراز الأصغر و٢٨٧ مقعداً للطراز الأكبر ضمن ترتيب يشمل ثلاث مقصورات وتشغل بمحركات رولس-رويس ترينت 7000 ناهيك عن مقصورة "ايرسبيس" فائقة التطور وكذلك أجنحة أكثر امتداداً تعتمد تقنية شاركلتس Sharklets

SODIC Opens Newest Sales Centre in New Cairo

سوديك تفتتح أحدث مقر مبيعات بالقاهرة الجديدة

RapidLion - The South African International Film Festival returns to The Market Theatre with Master classes by the legendary Jan Harlan

Johannesburg, 06 November 2018- RapidLion - The South African International Film Festival is pleased to announce that it will host German-born film producer Jan Harlan for its fourth instalment, which runs at the Market Theatre from 1 March to 10 March 2019.

Harlan, mostly known as an executive producer for Stanley Kubrick classics such as The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut, as well as the Steven Spielberg - Kubrick collaboration A.I. Artificial Intelligence, will give three Master classes at the upcoming festival, which has renewed its relationship with the Market Theatre as a hosting venue for the next three years.

Of the relationship between RapidLion and the Market Theatre, festival director Eric Miyeni said, "The Market Theatre is the home of RapidLion. We have been here since inception. We cannot see ourselves being hosted by any other institution but this iconic theatre space”.

Market Theatre CEO Ismail Mohamed concurred with Miyeni, echoing Market Theatre Artistic Director James Ngcobo’s sentiments, saying, "RapidLion continues to be a powerful vehicle that transports us to worlds and realities that we may otherwise not be receptive to, which is exactly how we see the work the theatre does."

Harlan's Master classes will explore different facets of the filmmaking process, namely;

It's All in the Writing: Making a film with a limited budget

The SHORT - The Calling Card, and Music as a Scripting Tool - A Possible Pillar for a Film's Structure.

Born in Karlushe, Germany in 1937, Harlan and Kubrick's working relationship began with his involvement in the unmade Kubrick film, Napoleon, for which he did research in 1968. In 1975, Harlan, the son of two opera singers, went on to executive produce Barry Lyndon, a landmark period piece based on the 1844 William Makepeace Thackeray novel The Luck of Barry Lyndon.

Hailed as a cinematic feat with scenes shot in natural light, interior scenes shot by candlelight, and settings based on William Hogarth's paintings, the film won four production-related categories in the corresponding Academy Awards.

Although cognisant of the role of producers in the filmmaking chain, Harlan does not seem to view them as of ultimate importance to the process, telling tasteofcinema.com that the term producer is almost useless. "For beginners: You have to have a story you really love and get it developed into a script. Then find a director who also loves it and you have a chance

"Producers are very important but they don't make the film. They can be the seed to a film, but they are not making it."

Harlan's Master classes will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2019, starting off with It's All in the Writing, which takes place on 2 March from 10am to 2pm. The SHORT will follow in an afternoon session from 3pm to 6pm, while the final class, Music as a Scripting Tool will take place on 3 March from 10am to 2pm. Tickets are available through Webtickets.

Early bird tickets for the Master classes go on sale from 1 November 2018 until 31 January 2019. These are valued at R75 per lecture and R165 for all three lectures as a package deal for students.

For film professionals and the general public they are priced at R155 per session and R350 for all three lectures as a package.

Late buyer tickets (available from 1 February until 3 March 2019), are priced the same as early bird tickets for students, with the general public and film professionals paying R255 per session and R550 for all three lectures as a package.

دلهي تحتل الصدارة في قمة الشراكة الإماراتية – الهندية 2018

المدينة عرضت فرص الاستثمار الاستراتيجية وعززت العلاقات مع الإمارات العربية المتحدة

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 5 نوفمبر 2018: في إطار تقوية العلاقات الثنائية والتعاون الاقتصادي بين الهند والإمارات العربية المتحدة، عُقدت قمة الشراكة الإماراتية الهندية 2018 (IUPS) مؤخراً في منتجع أتلانتس النخلة في دبي. 

وركز الحدث على تعزيز الاستثمارات الإماراتية في الهند، والاستثمارات الهندية في الإمارات لتسهيل فرص التواصل بين أصحاب المصالح والمستثمرين وكبار رواد الأعمال والصناع والمصرفيين ورجال الأعمال والمؤسسات وغرف التجارة والمسؤولين. كما عززت القمة العلاقات بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وقدمت معلومات عن أطر السياسات للحكومات. وفي حين عرضت عدة ولايات هندية مشاريعها على المستثمرين الإماراتيين، ظهرت ولاية دلهي كوجهة رئيسية مع عرضها للعديد من فرص الاستثمار الاستراتيجية.

وتعد دلهي أحد المراكز الهندية الهامة، وهي محور معظم الأنشطة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية. وتزخر المدينة بالمؤسسات التعليمية العالمية والمراكز الصحية وسلاسل البيع بالتجزئة وأكثر من ذلك بكثير، وتفتخر بواحدة من أكبر شبكات المترو "مترو دلهي" وشبكة الطرق السريعة الوطنية والمطارات وخطوط السكك الحديدية. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تعد المدينة موطنا للعديد من المكاتب الحكومية وتعد واحدة من الوجهات التجارية المفضلة في البلاد. كما تم تمثيل دلهي في القمة من قبل "منظمة دلهي الحكومية - مؤسسة دلهي للتنمية الصناعية وتطوير البنية التحتية (DSIIDC).
