Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 6 February 2018: Panasonic Jaguar Racing delivered another encouraging points haul with both drivers fighting their way into the top 10 in a dramatic race at the Antofagasta Minerals ABB FIA Formula E Santiago E-Prix.




Lining up on the grid in fifth position, Nelson Piquet Jr made a lightning start to move past Lotterer and Buemi into second place. Positioning his Jaguar I-TYPE 2 between the two Techeetah drivers, Nelson challenged for the lead of the race managing his battery energy effectively while recording impressive sector times throughout.




With hard-fought, wheel to wheel action at the front of the race, Panasonic Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans made swift progress up the grid, moving from P20 into the top half of the field during the inaugural E-Prix in Santiago. Mitch brought his I-TYPE 2 home in seventh position delivering a double points finish for the team.




Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s strong start to their second season in Formula E continues and the British team currently sit fourth in the team standings with 54 points - the highest tally the team have ever achieved. Nelson is fifth and Mitch is seventh in the drivers’ championship.




James Barclay, Team Director Panasonic Jaguar Racing: “Incredible race. What we can take from today is that we have a really fast racecar and we are in the hunt for another podium finish. Both drivers raced well and did a great job on this challenging circuit. Nelson had a fantastic start in his Jaguar I-TYPE 2 and Mitch was brilliant coming through the field, getting fastest lap at one point. It shows the team are working very well and we have a quick car, these are well earned points for the team. We are already looking forward to Mexico City, it was a highlight in our first season and we can’t wait to go back.”




Nelson Piquet Jr, #3: “It was a tough but exciting race. I had a good start, everything was going well until trying to pass Buemi back towards the end of the second stint. The important thing is that the Jaguar has the pace, as a team we are still learning but getting better all the time. I’m sure we can get more points. We need to be optimistic but the car has the potential for much more. We need to keep pushing and improving.”




Mitch Evans, #20: “I’m very happy to come away with points after a disappointing qualifying. I started at the back of the grid but had a good first lap by avoiding the carnage. I kept chipping away and finished seventh just seven seconds off the lead. The team did a great job today and I hope to reward them with more points in Mexico.”




On Saturday 3 March Panasonic Jaguar Racing will return to the streets of Mexico City for the fifth instalment of the ABB FIA Formula E Championships.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة؛ 6 فبراير 2018: نجح فريق " باناسونيك جاكوار للسباقات" في حصد المزيد من النقاط، مع السائقين نيلسون بيكيه جونيور وميتش إيفانز اللذين يسعيان إلى إحراز مكانة متقدمة ضمن المراكز العشرة الأولى في سباق سانتياغو ضمن سلسلة بطولة "أنتوفاغاستا مينيرالز إيه بي بي فورمولا إي".

ومن موقعه في الخانة الخامسة على خط البداية، انطلق نيلسون بيكيه جونيور بسرعة فائقة متجاوزاً سائقي فريق تيشيتاه لوتير وبويمي ومتقدماً إلى المرتبة الثانية على الحلبة. واحتدمت المنافسة على الصدارة عندما وجد نيلسون سيارته جاكوار I-TYPE 2 محاصرة بين سيارتي فريق ميتشاه، ولكنه نجح في المناورة وإدارة استهلاك بطاريته بكفاءة وتسجيل زمن قياسي في مختلف أقسام الحلبة.

وحصد ميتش إيفانز المركز السابع خلال الدورة الافتتاحية من سباق سانتياغو بعد أن كان في المركز 20، مسجلاً بذلك نقطتين لصالح فريق "باناسونيك جاكوار للسباقات" وأداء متميزاً لسيارة جاكوار I-TYPE 2 في خضم منافسة شديدة.

ويواصل الفريق أداءه القوي في موسمه الثاني من بطولة فورمولا إي، حيث حقق المركز الرابع ضمن ترتيب الفرق بمعدل 54 نقطة، وهو أعلى معدل له حتى الآن. يضاف إلى ذلك، أن نيلسون بيكيه جونيور وميتش إيفانز حصدا المركزين الخامس والسابع على التوالي.

Epson announces its first 3LCD installation laser projector offering 4K resolution at ISE 2018

A range of other new products in pro AV, business and signage sectors are also announced on the first day of the show

Dubai - UAE, 6 February 2018 – On the opening day of ISE 2018, Epson has announced its first ever native 4K projector. The EB-L12000Q is a powerful 12,000-lumen 3LCD laser projector, designed for high-end rental and fixed installations at events, festivals, visitor attractions, large auditoriums, trade shows and shopping centres, among other uses, and can use the same 4K-compatible lenses as Epson’s EB-L1000-Series projectors for maximum versatility.




It will be launched alongside a companion model, the EB-L20000U, Epson’s first entry in the popular compact 20k-lumen WUXGA category. Both models share a casing designed to fit into industry-standard tubular steel frames, so they’re easy to fit into existing infrastructure, and offer fit and forget reliability, as well as easy installation and projection from any angle, including portrait.



Also announced on the first day of the show, the EV-100 is a new type of projector for Epson, and expands the company’s presence in the signage and lighting sector. With a sleek, low-noise design, created to blend into the background, the 2,000-lumen EV-100 can work as either a projector or a spotlight, and is ideal for curated visual environments such as retail showrooms, shop window displays, museum exhibits and gallery events, where minimal visual clutter is key. It can be used to provide information, show video, throw moving patterns or even projection map imagery onto small objects.




Completing the new projector line-up announced at ISE 2018, Epson is launching a range of new 3LCD laser projectors designed for meeting rooms, educational establishments and visitor attractions. The EB-L615U, EB-L610U, EB-L610W, EB-L510U and EB-L400U are designed to replace existing lamp-based projectors in scenarios requiring 4,500-6,000-lumen solutions, and offer a range of feature sets from basic entry-level models to more highly-specified units offering features such as HDBaseT connectivity and screen mirroring.



In addition, Epson will be announcing new Professional Projector Tool software. This utility works with Epson’s installation laser projectors, and makes it quick and easy to implement multiple projector installations, and take advantage of techniques such as edge blending and projection mapping.




Models from all of our new projector ranges will be in action at ISE including EB-L12000Q and EB-L20000U units, as well as EV-100, EB-L610U, EB-L700U, and EB-L1000-Series projectors in real-world usage scenarios. We’ll also debut some of our most dramatic projection-mapped visuals yet, using edge-blended imagery from multiple EB-L25000U projectors to bring to life a uniquely colourful and enchanting story.

Expo 2020 Fuels UAE’s CCTV Market to Reach USD 194 Billion by 2023

Mega-projects like Expo 2020 Dubai are fueling the UAE’s CCTV and video surveillance market to top USD 194 billion by 2023, industry experts announced today ahead of the World Government Summit, running in Dubai from 11-13 February.

During the World Government Summit, global leaders will exchange best practices in using technology to enhance public safety. The UAE is set to take center stage, with local and federal safety regulations leading to tens of thousands of CCTV cameras blanketing the country, from grocery stores, to office parks and mega-projects.

As a result, the UAE’s video surveillance market is set to reach a record-high of USD 194 billion by 2023. according to a recent report by the firm 6WResearch.

However, most UAE organizations do not currently have the technology infrastructure to support CCTV projects, argues the UAE-based IT infrastructure and information management consultancy and solutions provider Condo Protego.

It is easy for organizations to underestimate the resources required to store and manage CCTV, by not thoroughly considering the cost of retaining this essentially huge volume of fast growing data, in a tamper-proof manner, Condo Protego added.

“While mega-projects like Expo 2020 Dubai integrate CCTV infrastructure throughout their physical sites, this is not the norm for the average building. Storefronts, malls, community centers, and office buildings grow and change, and new owners may prefer different CCTV systems,” said Andrew Calthorpe, CEO, Condo Protego.

قال خبراء اليوم إن المشاريع الضخمة مثل إكسبو 2020 دبي سوف تساهم في تعزيز سوق الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة وأنظمة المراقبة بالفيديو في دولة الإمارات، حيث يُتوقع أن تصل قيمتها إلى 194 مليار دولار بحلول العام 2023. جاء ذلك في سياق الاستعدادات لانعقاد القمة العالمية للحكومات، المزمع في دبي في الفترة بين 11 و13 فبراير المقبل. 

ومن المنتظر خلال القمة أن يطّلع القادة العالميون على أفضل الممارسات المتبعة في استخدام التقنيات لتعزيز السلامة والأمن العام. ومن المقرر أن تتصدّر دولة الإمارات المشهد في ظلّ لوائح السلامة المحلية والاتحادية التي تتطلب بنودها استخدام عشرات الآلاف من الكاميرات في أنظمة الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة لتغطي كل ركن في البلاد، من محلات البقالة إلى مجمعات المكاتب وحتى المشاريع الضخمة.

ونتيجة لذلك، من المتوقع أن تصل سوق المراقبة بالفيديو في دولة الإمارات إلى قيمة قياسية قدرها 194 مليار دولار بحلول العام 2023، وفقاً لتقرير صدر حديثاً عن شركة "6 دبليو ريسيرتش". ومع ذلك، لا تمتلك معظم الشركات والمؤسسات في دولة الإمارات حالياً البنية التحتية التقنية الداعمة لمشاريع تركيب الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة، حسبما أفاد مسؤول في شركة "كوندو بروتيغو" للاستشارات وتوريد الحلول في مجال البنية التحتية التقنية وإدارة المعلومات، والتي تتخذ من الإمارات مقراً.

وقالت الشركة على لسان رئيسها التنفيذي أندرو كالثورب، إن من السهل على الشركات أن تقلّل من شأن الموارد اللازمة لإدارة الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة وتخزين المواد التصويرية، من خلال عدم التدقيق في تكلفة الاحتفاظ بأحجام البيانات الضخمة المتنامية بسرعة، بطريقة تقيها العبث والاختراق. وأضاف: "تحرص المشاريع الكبرى مثل إكسبو 2020 دبي على التأسيس لدمج البنية التحتية للدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة في جميع مبانيها ومرافقها، لكن هذا الأمر لا ينطبق على المباني العادية، كالمتاجر ومراكز التسوق والمراكز المجتمعية ومباني المكاتب، إذ إنها عُرضة للتبدّل، وقد يفضل الملاك الجدد تغيير أنظمة المراقبة المثبتة فيها".

واستطاعت شركة "كوندو بروتيغو" إحراز نجاح واسع في أنحاء دولة الإمارات بتنفيذ حلول شاملة من "دل إي إم سي" لتحسين فعالية استخدام الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة، والتي تشمل أنظمة تخزين مؤسسية ضخمة وخوادم ومحطات عمل يتم إنشاؤها وفق مواصفات خاصة. ودعا كالثورب كبار مسؤولي المعلوماتية العاملين في دولة الإمارات إلى المسارعة في تنفيذ مشاريع الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة من أجل ضمان الالتزام باللوائح التنظيمية التي تضعها الحكومات وتعزيز مستوى الوقاية من الجرائم، مشيراً إلى أن نظم إدارة المعلومات والتخزين "تضمن للشركات الاحتفاظ بالبيانات الناتجة عن أنظمة المراقبة بالفيديو وفقاً للوائح الحكومية".
