The Center for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars receives ISO 39001 Certification from Intertek for its Road Traffic Safety Management System

Abu Dhabi, UAE - Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, awarded Abu Dhabi’s Center for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars the ISO 39001:2012 certification, in recognition of its Road Traffic Safety (RTS) management systems. The Abu Dhabi government’s entity, which regulates and manages the taxi and public transport sector, is the first regulatory body to receive this certification in the Emirate.

The Centre underwent rigorous and impartial assessment by Intertek’s auditors to ensure that its RTS management systems are aligned and compliant with international requirements. Intertek’s audit process, along with the Centre’s commitment to bring safety to the Emirate, is designed to help save lives by minimising deaths and serious injuries caused by traffic accidents and help to reduce accident-related operational and insurance costs and work interruptions.

وقد خضع المركز لتقييم صارم وموضوعي من قبل مدققي "إنترتك" للتأكد من أنّ أنظمة إدارة السلامة المرورية على الطرقات متوافقة مع المتطلبات العالمية وتطبق المعايير العالمية المعتمدة في هذا القطاع. وقد وُضِع برنامج المراجعة والتدقيق على الأنظمة الذي اعتمدته "إنترتك"، وكذلك التزام المركز بتوفير السلامة على الطرقات في الإمارة، للمساعدة في إنقاذ الأرواح من خلال الحدّ من الحوادث التي تفضي إلى الوفاة والإصابات البالغة وكذلك المساعدة على خفض التكاليف التشغيلية وتكاليف التأمين التي ترتبط بالحوادث وأيضاً التكاليف التي تنتج عن التوقّف عن العمل.

‘Women Like Us’ networking event hosted monthly for female business professionals

Dubai, 20th November 2016: Guardian Wealth Management, a regulated financial planning firm, has formed a female-only team that offers financial advice specifically tailored to women.

The team, which is made up of four female advisors based in Guardian’s Dubai office, offers advice geared towards the needs of women, considering potential factors including maternity leave and the need for long-term financial independence.

The service comes after Guardian identified a lack of tailored financial advice suited to the requirements of women, particularly in what is typically seen as a male-dominated industry.

Gemma Frankland, Senior Financial Planner at Guardian Wealth Management, said: “The financial needs of women are often different to men. And, in many cases, they shy away from it altogether for fear of complexity and uncertainty”.

“As women advisors, we understand what the priorities are for women and are equipped to provide the best, bespoke financial advice.”

The need for financial planning amongst women is greater than ever. Women tend to earn less than men, but live longer on average, meaning there is usually a part of their life in which they must live independently.

Additionally, women are more likely to take career breaks to start families, causing a dip in salaries often for months or years at a time. It is important for women to preserve what they earn while they are working to ensure they are financed in times when they are not.

“We find that women are very good at saving for the short term, whether that be for rent, school fees or even vacations, but they tend to lack long-term planning for later in life and retirement”, said Ms Frankland. “We encourage ladies to come for a consultation where we can chat about their needs in an open, trusting environment.”

Currently, over a third of UAE clients at Guardian Wealth Management are women - significantly higher than its client base in other regions such as Hong Kong and the UK. This is due to a greater proportion of females in the UAE being business professionals and high earners.

وفقا لمؤشر سيسكو العالمي للسحابة، من المتوقع ان تحقق منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا أعلى معدلات النمو في حركة الحوسبة السحابية بنسبة (41 %) في الفترة من 2014-2019. وتساعد الحلول القائمة على نظام السحابة في دعم نمو الشركات، ونقل تطبيقات أعمالهم إلى السحابة لضمان قدر أكبر من خفة الحركة والمرونة. وتساعد الخدمات المدارة المؤسسات في تقليص عبء توظيف فرق متخصصة لإدارة تقنية المعلومات، وتوفير متطلبات الامتثال المعقدة ودعم التنسيق مع أنسب التقنيات المناسبة التي يمكن تطبيقها بالكامل أو بشكل جزئي لأحد مكوناتها.

فجوة المهارات

Sweet Homes completes first phase of first-of-its-kind project inspired by French architecture

His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and the member of the UAE Supreme Council, recently handed over the keys to the owners of villas of the first phase of the USD 750 million Ajman Uptown project. Prior to the handover, the master community development, which is the only freehold villa project in the emirate of Ajman.

According to the Sweet Homes’ Director Fawad Sattar Dero, Ajman Uptown is a project that is both innovative and unique in design--a fully-gated community that offers a mixture of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom Townhouses/Villas and Apartments. Strategically located along the main Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Road (E 311), Ajman Uptown is the only freehold project of its kind to feature Townhouses and Villas and a first of its kind as a whole in Ajman. Inspired by French-style architecture, the 2 and 3 bedroom villas are called Erica, while the 4-bedroom units are offered in four different yet highly attractive designs; the Acacia, Begonia, Camellia and Dahlia. The large and roomy 5-bedroom villas are the VIP houses and are attractive as the name they carry.

The Ajman Uptown project's main contractor is Sweet Homes General Contracting while its main consultant is the Eng. Adnan Saffarini Consulting Office. Once fully completed the master development project will house 1,504 villas and townhouses, a hotel, hotel apartment building, shopping mall, hospital club, two mosques, and a school on over 3.5 million square meters of land next of Emirates road and Emirates City. In addition, Ajman Uptown will also have a fire fighting station, security outposts and boutique offices.

قام صاحب سمو الشيخ حميد بن راشد النعيمي، حاكم عجمان وعضو المجلس الأعلى للإتحاد، مؤخراً، بتسليم المفاتيح إلى المالكين الجدد لفيلات مشروع عجمان أبتاون بعد الانتهاء منه والبالغة كلفته 750 مليون دولار أمريكي. وقد حظي هذا المشروع  الرئيسي، وهو المشروع الوحيد بنظام التملك الحرّ في الإمارة، قبل تسليمه، بشهادات ترخيص من قبل دائرة البلدية والتخطيط والإدارة العامة للدفاع المدني في عجمان.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال فهد ستار ديرو، المدير التنفيذي والمدير المنتدب لشركة "سويت هومز القابضة": "نتوجه بجزيل الشكر لصاحب السمو الشيخ حميد بن راشد النعيمي لحضوره هذه المناسبة الهامة ولدعمه المستمر لمشروع "عجمان أبتاون". نحن فخورون بتسليم 350 فيلا جديدة إلى مالكيها. ويعدّ هذا المشروع إضافة قيّمة إلى قائمة المشاريع المتميزة التي كان لها دور كبير في رسم ملامح جديدة لمشهد إمارة عجمان، إذ يتمتع مشروع بتصميم متسوحى من العمارة الفرنسية مما يمنحه مناظر شاملة تجعل من مكوناته وحدةً كاملة ًومتقاربة تضفي أجواءً من السعادة والرضى في نفوس السكان.

وبدوره شرح فواد ستار ديرو، مدير شركة سويت هومز القابضة بأن المشروع يتميز بتصميم مبتكر وفريد كونه مجمّع مسوّر بالكامل ويتضمن مجموعة متنوعة من التاونهاوس والفيلات بـ 2 و3و4 و5 غرف نوم. يتمتع المشروع أيضاً بموقع استراتيجي على شارع الشيخ محمد بن زايد الرئيسي (E311) وهو الوحيد بنظام التملك الحر والمكوّن من تاونهاوس وفيلات كما أنه الأول من نوعه عموماً في إمارة عجمان. وتم بناء هذا المشروع بتصميم مستوحى من الأسلوب المعماري الفرنسي ويتضمن مجموعة فيلات بـ 2 و 3 غرف نوم أطلق عليها اسم زهرة "الخلنج" ومجموعة من الوحدات السكنية بـ 4 غرف نوم بأربعة تصاميم تجمع بين التنوع والأناقة المتناهية أطلق عليها أسماء أزهار "الأكاسيا" و"البيجونيا" و"الكاميليا" و"الأضاليا"، إضافة إلى مجموعة من الفيلات الفسيحة بـ 5 غرف نوم والتي تعدّ عنوان السكن الفاخر لكبار الشخصيات لما تتمتع به من فخامة وأناقة.   

ويذكر أن المقاول الرئيسي لمشروع "عجمان أبتاون" هو "سويت هومز للمقاولات العامة" في حين أن  الاستشاري الرئيسي هو المهندس مكتب عدنان سفاريني للاستشارات الهندسية. وسيضم  مشروع التطوير الرئيسي عند استكماله 1.504 فيلا وتاونهاوس وفندقاً ومبنى من الشقق الفندقية إضافة إلى مركز تسوق ونادٍ استشفائي وجامعين ومدرسة بمساحة تتجاوز 3.5 مليون متر مربع بالقرب من شارع الإمارات ومدينة الإمارات. كما يتضمن ايضاً مركز إطفاء ونقاط أمن ومكاتب راقية.

واختتم أمان عبد الله محمد أكرم، المدير العام لشركة أكرم وشركاؤه- أحد المستثمرين في مشروع عجمان أبتاون: "سررنا نحن كمستثمرين في هذا المشروع بخبر الإعلان عن استكمال المرحلة الأولى منه، ونتطلع قدماً إلى الحصول على الثمرة الفعلية من هذا المشروع وهو استلام المفاتيح وبدء حياة جديدة في واحد من أهم وأرقى المشاريع في عجمان".
