The Close of SME Banking Egypt 2016 features the attendance of the Executive Director of Egyptian Banking Institute

The SME Banking Egypt 2016 conference has come to an end today in partnership with the Egyptian Banking Institute, an affiliate of the Central Bank of Egypt, and the support of Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East. The event has gathered top banking and financial professionals from the region to congregate and discuss strategies to support the Egyptian economy and promote SMEs.

Sharing the CBE’s initiative and government’s vision to support and grow the SME sector, the event has addressed the challenges faced by the sector and deliberated on finding solutions. The event hosts a delegation from leading banks in Egypt like the Central Bank of Egypt, National Bank of Egypt, Egyptian Banking Institute, Barclays Egypt, Banque Misr, Credit Agricole and many more leading financial institutes in Egypt.

اختتم اليوم مؤتمر الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة في القطاع المصرفي في مصر 2016. تم تنظيم المؤتمر بالشراكة مع المعهد المصرفي المصري، إحدى الشركات التابعة للبنك المركزي المصري، وبدعم من بلومبرج بيزنس ويك الشرق الأوسط. جمع المؤتمر عدداً كبيراً من كبار البنوك والعاملين في القطاع المالي من المنطقة لمناقشة استراتيجيات دعم الاقتصاد المصري وتشجيع الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة.

يعد المؤتمر الذي يستمر على مدى يومين منبراً للمتخصصين في قطاع البنوك الصغيرة والمتوسطة لمناقشة قصص النجاح والتعرف على أفضل الممارسات ومحاولة تطبيقها ضمن هيكيلة البنوك الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحالية في مصر وبالتالي تشجيع تمكين الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة.

Dubai, 16 May 2016: Emirates Classification Society “TASNEEF” participates in the Offshore Arabia Conference & Exhibition 2016, which started today 17 May 2016 and will run until 18 May 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the conference will discuss the major challenges facing the maritime industry in the state, and national efforts to develop this sector. Key issues and topics related to the regional and global marine environment, oil and gas, shipping, and the renewable energy industries will also be addressed.

At the conference opening, Eng. Rashid Al Hebsi, CEO of TASNEEF, said that the marine sector is an active partner in the process of comprehensive development in the UAE, noting that the UAE owns a total of 2,290 ships, 223 of which carry the UAE flag with a cargo capacity of 500 tons. He added that 14,558 ships docked last year in the country's ports, bringing the total number of ships dealt with through the country's ports to 16,848 ships comparing to 17483 ships passing through Suez Canal in 2015. He pointed to the UAE's unique strategic location within the map of shipping routes, saying: "We take pride in the fact that we today export our marine products and services to the United States, Germany, and other developed countries, which have gained confidence in the UAE marine products, which they regard as being at the same level of the products of leading industrialized nations. We will continue our efforts to further build this confidence across the world, and to see the UAE flag flown over all ships operating in the region.”

It is important to mention that in a short period of time, TASNEEF has successfully implemented new standards of quality control with regards to building vessels and making them operational, fulfilling the needs of the Arab world and its unique temperatures. Action plan for the Maritime Emiratization Index

At the Offshore Arabia Conference & Exhibition 2016, TASNEEF will announce the launch of the Maritime Emiratization Index, one of the main initiatives contained in the declaration of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Youth Summit for Empowering Emirati Youth Leaders in the Maritime Domain, which was organized by TASNEEF Academy in January 2016. At the conference, Al Hebsi clarified that the action plan for the Maritime Emiratization Index aims to have a real impact and encourage national institutions and companies to hire Emiratis in the maritime sector.

Marasi News magazine, the first national magazine covering all news and topics related to the maritime, oil and gas sectors, will be the sponsor of this index and will monitor all developments by maintaining communication with national institutions and companies operating in the UAE. دبي_ 17_مايو 2016:  تشارك هيئة الإمارات للتصنيف "تصنيف"  في "مؤتمر ومعرض البحار العربية 2016" الذي انطلقت فعالياته اليوم الثلاثاء 17 مايو 2016 وستستمر حتى الأربعاء 18 مايو 2016 في مركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض. حيث يناقش المؤتمر الذي يقام تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، أبرز التحديات التي تواجه الصناعة البحرية في الدولة، والجهود الوطنية لتطوير هذا القطاع، بالإضافة إلى أهم القضايا والموضوعات التي تتعلق بالبيئة البحرية، النفط والغاز، الملاحة، وصناعة الطاقة المتجددة في المنطقة والعالم.

وخلال افتتاح المؤتمر، كشف المهندس راشد الحبسي، الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الإمارات للتصنيف  "تصنيف"، أن القطاع البحري شريك فعّال في مسيرة التنمية الشاملة بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة؛ حيث وصل إجمالي عدد السفن الإماراتية نحو 2290 سفينة، منها 223 ترفع علم الإمارات، وتتجاوز حمولتها 500 طن، كما رست العام الماضي في موانئ الدولة 14558 سفينة ليصل إجمالي عدد السفن التي تم التعامل معها عبر موانئ الدولة إلى 16848 سفينة ومقارنة بـ 17483 سفينة مرت في قناة السويس في عام 2015 مما يشير  إلى أهمية الموقع الاستراتيجي الفريد الذي تمتلكه دولة الإمارات ضمن خريطة الطرق الملاحية. كما علق: "نفخر بأننا أصبحنا اليوم جزء فعَال من الاقتصاد الملاحي العالمي ومؤشر حيوي للوضع الاقتصادي الخليجي الملاحي والبحري وقد اثبتنا مكانتنا العالمية في القطاع ليس فقط في الشق اللوجستي والطاقة ولكن أيضاً في الشق الهندسي والصناعي والابتكاري والحلول الذكية للقطاع بأكمله. فنحن نصدر منتجاتنا البحرية وخدماتنا إلى الولايات المتحدة وألمانيا وغيرها من الدول المتقدمة، والتي باتت تثق اليوم بالمنتج الإماراتي البحري بنفس المستوى الذي تثق فيه بمنتجات الدول الصناعية الكبرى، وسنواصل جهودنا حتى نبني هذه الثقة في العالم أجمع، وليصبح العلم الإماراتي هو الأجدر بأن ترفعه كافة السفن العاملة في المنطقة".

وأضاف الحبسي "رؤيتنا في "تصنيف" أن نكون نواة اقتصاد عربي ملاحي متكامل يوظف الإمكانات والموقع الاستراتيجي لهذه المنطقة الواقعة في قلب طرق التجارة العالمية،وذلك بتمكين وتدريب الكوادر الوطنية والعربية لتكون ركائز قيادية لمستقبل القطاع؛ ونعمل على إعادة توجيه المبالغ الكبيرة التي تنفق في القطاع الملاحي وتستحوذ عليها شركات أجنبية تعمل من بلدانها، ولا تساهم في نقل المعرفة والخبرة إلى بلداننا كي تتمكن من الاستفادة من الزخم الاقتصادي الكامن لديها؛ من أجل ذلك نحن حريصون على التواجد في كافة البحار التي تطل عليها الدول العربية لإيماننا بوجود حاجة ماسّة لخدماتنا من قبل ملاك السفن والمشغلين والمستثمرين العرب في هذا القطاع الحيوي الواعد." 

جدير بالذكر أن هيئة الإمارات للتصنيف "تصنيف" قد نجحت خلال فترة وجيزة أن تحقق إضافات نوعية في مجال معايير الجودة والمواصفات الخاصة ببناء وتشغيل السفن في المنطقة وسد حاجات المنطقة العربية بخصوصيتها المناخية لخدمات التصنيف والمعايير القياسية، أولها كان معيار صحاري الخاص بمواصفات السفن العاملة في المناطق الحارة، والذي يوفر 15% من تكاليف تشغيل وتصنيع السفن مقارنة بتلك التي تبنى وتعمل في المحيطات والمناطق الباردة. كذلك تعد تصنيف هي الهيئة المعتمدة لإصدار شهادات المواصفات الخليجية للسفن التي لا تشملها المعاهدات البحرية الدولية، وكذلك الكود الإماراتي لليخوت، الأول من نوعه في العالم، وتعمل حالياً على تطوير المعايير الهندسية الخاصة بالفلل العائمة والتي تُبنى للمرة الأولى على مستوى العالم في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. 

خطة عمل مؤشر الإمارات للتوطين الملاحي 

على صعيد آخر،  تتزامن مشاركة هيئة الإمارات للتصنيف في مؤتمر ومعرض البحار العربية مع إطلاق مؤشر الإمارات لتوطين القطاع الملاحي، أحد أهم المبادرات التي تضمنها إعلان "قمة أبوظبي لتمكين القيادات الإماراتية الشابة في القطاع البحري"، والتي نظمتها "أكاديمية تصنيف" الذراع التعليمي لهيئة الإمارات للتصنيف "تصنيف" في شهر يناير 2016 الماضي. حيث أعلن الحبسي خلال المؤتمر عن خطة عمل المؤشر ليكون ذو تأثير حقيقي في تحفيز المؤسسات الوطنية والشركات على توطين القطاع الملاحي.

وسوف تتولى مجلة مراسي نيوز، المجلة الوطنية الأولى التي تتناول جميع الأخبار والموضوعات الحصرية فيما يتعلق  بقطاعي البترول والملاحة، رعاية هذا المؤشر ورصد التطور الذي يتم في هذا المجال، من خلال التواصل مع المؤسسات الوطنية والشركات العاملة في دولة الإمارات، وجمع المعلومات حول توطين الوظائف والخبرات في القطاع الملاحي. وأضاف الحبسي "نهدف دائماً إلى تحفيز الشباب جميعاً ليساهموا منذ اليوم للتحضير للاحتفال الذي دعى إليه صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، نائب القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة ولي عهد أبوظبي، بعد خمسين عاماً، عندما يتم شحن آخر برميل نفط من دولة الإمارات. حيث يحتاج القطاع الملاحي إلى الكفاءات الوطنية بدرجة كبيرة من أجل ضمان استمرارية الصدارة الدولية التي حققتها الدولة في مجال الملاحة والتجارة عبر الحدود".

Healthcare developments in the GCC could help drive demand for specialist materials

Healthcare is a huge industry in the GCC, with one forecast estimating the care it provides to be worth some $55.4bn this year alone. As demand for care rises, in line with population growth and improved standards of living, further investment in hospital and clinic infrastructure will be needed to keep up with this growing requirement.

In Dubai the private sector healthcare industry is expected to need an additional 1500 beds by 2020, according to estimates from Colliers International, an increase in capacity likely to translate into an investment of some $1.5bn.

As the emirate also aims to become a hub for medical tourists its clinics and hospitals represent a multibillion dollar opportunity for healthcare investors and developers. But delivering to the highest standards means dealing with the specialised requirements of the sector.

“One of the critical components across all healthcare design now is infection control,” explains Mike Barns, senior project manager and architect with ICME Healthcare, a specialist healthcare management and consultancy company.

“The requirement to provide materials that can control the spread of infectious diseases is very important and actually limits the options available to a healthcare architect quite dramatically.”

Barns, who is participating in a specialist healthcare design debate on the final day of The Designers’ Forum being held during the Middle East Covering and the Middle East Stone Shows, says there are a number of standards that set what can and can’t be used.

“There are a number of international standards, and a number of local standards managed independently by individual countries, which set out what materials can be used to create building finishes such as floors, walls, desk surfaces, and the like. The key document comes from the United States, and its infection control regulations have been adopted pretty well in the UAE.

“These set out such things as materials that will resist fungus, fungal growth and resist spores multiplying. In all of the new hospitals that have been designed and built, in the UAE in particular, and also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman these infection control guidelines and requirements steer the selection of materials that's available for designers to use.”

ICME is helping commission a new hospital in Cairo, Egypt, which Barns says is a good example of how standards have developed. It was actually designed and built twenty years ago, but was never been commissioned. ICME was brought on to bring that hospital facility into operation.

“Twenty years ago it was okay to design with exposed concrete walls, and now it isn’t,” explains Barns. “Now, they have to be plastered and treated in a certain way. Flooring in the past could be slate tiles; now, unless they don’t have an apt finishing, we can't use that anymore.”

Now these higher standards come with demands of independent certification, where manufacturers have to be able to prove their surface materials are up to the specific requirements of a modern healthcare facility.

In addition contractors are being obliged to use the exact specified materials or go to the expense of certifying their suggested alternatives.

“A designer may specify three options for the contractor to supply, so he can go out and get alternative prices from those three suppliers,” says Barns. “But if he wants to go beyond those suppliers, there's a lot of pressure on him to show that the alternative supplier meets the healthcare standards that are put in place.”

Suppliers that can make the grade with suitably certified products could find themselves in demand as the healthcare sector continues to demand new facilities across the GCC.

خبراء: مشاريع تطوير منشآت الرعاية الصحية تدفع الطلب على مواد الإنشاء المتخصصة

17 مايو 2016، دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة: أكد خبراء مشاركون في "منتدى المصممين" المزمع عقده على هامش معرضي "الشرق الأوسط للجدران والأرضيات"، و"الشرق الأوسط للأحجار والرخام" خلال الفترة من 23 إلى 26 مايو الجاري في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي، أن مشاريع تطوير منشآت الرعاية الصحية في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي تدعم الطلب على مواد الإنشاء المتخصصة.

وتشير التوقعات أن تصل القيمة التي يقدمها قطاع الرعاية الصحية إلى 55.4 مليار دولار أمريكي هذا العام وحده، وذلك في ظل النمو السكاني وتحسن مستويات المعيشة في هذه الدول، ما يستدعي ضخ استثمارات إضافية في البنية التحتية للمستشفيات والعيادات الطبية. إذ تشير تقديرات "كوليرز إنترناشيونال" على سبيل المثال إلى حاجة قطاع الرعاية الصحية الخاص في دبي إلى 1500 سرير إضافي بحلول العام 2020، والذي سينعكس في استثمارات بحوالي 1.5 مليار دولار أمريكي، خاصة وأن الإمارة تهدف إلى تصبح وجهة عالمية للسياحة العلاجية.

وفي هذا الإطار، قال مايك بارنز، مدير المشروع وكبير المهندسين في شركة "آي سي إم إي هيلث كير"، المتخصصة في إدارة واستشارات الرعاية الصحية: "إن مكافحة العدوى تعتبر في الوقت الراهن أحد أهم العناصر الرئيسية في تصميم وإنشاء مرافق الرعاية الصحية، وبالتالي فإن تقديم المواد الإنشائية أمر في غاية الأهمية، ولكنه يحد في الوقت ذاته من الخيارات المتاحة للمصممين والمعماريين".

وأوضح بارنز، الذي سيشارك في حلقة نقاش حول التصميم المتخصص بالرعاية الصحية في اليوم الأخير من منتدى المصممين، أن هنالك عدد من المعايير الدولية والمحلية التي تحدّد أنواع المواد التي يمكن استخدامها في تشطيبات المباني مثل الأرضيات والحوائط وأسطح المكاتب وما شابه ذلك. وتأتي الوثيقة الرئيسية من الولايات المتحدة، إذ تم اعتماد لوائحها المتعلقة بمكافحة العدوى في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بشكلٍ جيد جدًا.

وأكد بارنز إلى أن هذه اللوائح تحدّد المواد التي تقاوم نمو الفطريات وتكاثر الجراثيم، ويتم في الوقت الراهن تصميم جميع المستشفيات الجديدة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وفق هذه الإرشادات والمتطلبات المتعلقة بمكافحة العدوى، الأمر الذي يأثر بشكل مباشر على اختيار المواد المتاحة للاستخدام من قبل المصممين.  

ويعطي بارنز مثالاً على مستشفى يقوم حالياً بتطويرها، والذي كان قد تم تصميمها قبل 20 عاماً إلا أنه لم يتم تجهيزها للعمل مطلقاً، حيث يقول أنه كان من الملائم القيام بالتصميم بحوائط خرسانية مكشوفة، ولكن الأمر ليس كذلك الآن، إذ يتعين حسب المعايير الجديدة لصقها ومعالجتها بطريقة خاصة، كذلك حول حال الأرضيات التي كانت عبارة عن بلاط حجري، ولم يعد بالإمكان استخدامها ما لم يتم تشطبيها بشكل خاص.

ويشير بارنز إلى أن هذه المعايير تأتي مع متطلبات اعتماد مستقل، حيث يتعين على الشركات المصنّعة أن تكون قادرة على إثبات أن مواد الأسطح الخاصة بها تتماشى مع المتطلبات المحدّدة لمنشأة الرعاية الصحية الحديثة.

وعلاوةً على ذلك، يتم إلزام المقاولين حاليًا باستخدام المواد المحدّدة بالضبط أو تحمل عناء وتكلفة اعتماد بدائلهم المقترحة.

ويقول بارنز أنه يمكن أن يحدّد المصمم ثلاثة خيارات للمقاول لتوريدها، لذا يمكنه استعراض المواد والحصول على أسعار بديلة من هؤلاء المورّدين الثلاثة. ولكن إذا أراد أن يتخطى هؤلاء الموّردين، فإن عليه الكثير من الضغوط لإظهار أن المورّد البديل يستوفي معايير الرعاية الصحية المفروضة".

وجدير بالذكر أن المورّدين، الذين يمكنهم استيفاء المتطلبات بمنتجات معتمدة بشكلٍ مناسب، يمكن أن يجدوا إقبالاً كبيرًا عليهم؛ نظرًا لأن قطاع الرعاية الصحية لا يزال يطلب منشآت جديدة في شتى أنحاء دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

STME Implements Disk Encryption Solution at Manafea Holding Company

Administrators of the machines are capable of encrypting the laptop’s hard drive to ensure safe harbour and to prevent the exposure of sensitive data. This is especially relevant in the event a laptop is stolen,” said Mr. Ayman.

اختيار حل "فيريتاس / سيناميتيك" لتشفير البيانات على القرص الصلب لأجهزة الشركة المحمولة
