Under the high patronage of HE President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and the theme “Invest in Africa”. Elsewedy Electric participates in the forum that intends to explore new horizons to shape a better future across the African continent and achieve its development priorities.

The 2019 Investment for Africa Forum focuses on unleashing the competitive potential of the private sector in Africa, mobilizing investments for Africa’s industrial transformation, entrepreneurship and innovation, investing in human capital, and enhancing the continent’s energy, infrastructure and connectivity.
As part of Elsewedy Electric’s commitment to grow a better future for Africa, the company is part of a joint venture in Tanzania to help establish a dam and hydroelectric power plant on the Rufiji river worth US$ 2.9 billion with a capacity of 6,307 GWh. And this year, Elsewedy Electric celebrated 10 years of presence in Ethiopia, which was the first cables manufacturing plant established in 2009. In Zambia, Elsewedy Electric had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japanese conglomerate, Toyota Tsusho Corporation to build two solar photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 100 MW with battery storage system.

السويدي اليكتريك تواصل دعم تواجدها في أفريقيا خلال رعايتها ومشاركتها في "منتدى الاستثمار من أجل أفريقيا 2019"
القاهرة في 23 نوفمبر 2019- تأكيداً لخبراتها الكبيرة والممتدة في القارة الأفريقية، ترعى السويدي اليكتريك منتدى "الاستثمار من أجل أفريقيا 2019" والذي يقام في العاصمة الإدارية الجديدة على مدار يومي 22 و23 نوفمبر الحالي تحت رعاية عبد الفتاح السيسي-معالي رئيس الجمهورية. يقام منتدى هذا العام تحت عنوان "الاستثمار في أفريقيا"، حيث تشارك السويدي اليكتريك في تلك الدورة لاكتشاف رؤى وآفاق جديدة للمساهمة في تشكيل مستقبل أفضل للقارة الأفريقية، وتنفيذ الأولويات التنموية للقارة.
تعمل السويدي اليكتريك في أفريقيا منذ أكثر من 15 عاماً وتُعد من أكبر شركاء التنمية في أفريقيا وأكثرهم مصداقية واعتمادية في قطاعي الطاقة والبنية التحتية حيث نفذت السويدي اليكتريك ومازالت تنفذ عدداً من كبرى المشروعات التنموية في أفريقيا. ونظراً لتواجدها القوي في القارة، تعمل السويدي اليكتريك في 14 دولة أفريقية انطلاقاً من التزامها بمواصلة تنمية المجتمعات الأفريقية بصورة شاملة.
من ناحية أخرى تُعد السويدي اليكتريك من الشركات الرائدة في تصنيع المعدات والكابلات الكهربائية، حيث تمتلك 7 مصانع في أفريقيا لإنتاج الكابلات والمحولات والمستلزمات والاكسسوارات الكهربائية من أجل المساهمة في تطوير الاقتصاد الأفريقي من خلال توفير فرص العمل التي تمثل أحد أهم ركائز التنمية المحلية في الدول الأفريقية.

هذا ويركز منتدى "الاستثمار من أجل أفريقيا" على عدة موضوعات منها: اطلاق الامكانيات التنافسية للقطاع الخاص في أفريقيا، وحشد الاستثمارات لتطوير القطاع الصناعي الأفريقي، وريادة الأعمال والابتكار، والاستثمار في رأس المال البشري، وتطوير منظومة الطاقة في القارة السمراء، والبنية التحتية والاتصال.
وفي إطار التزام السويدي اليكتريك بالمساهمة في تطوير مستقبل أفريقيا، تشارك المجموعة في مشروع عالمي في تنزانيا لإقامة سد مائي ومحطة للطاقة الكهرومائية على نهر روفيجي باستثمارات تبلغ 2.9 مليار دولار وبقدرات توليد تصل إلى 6.307 جيجاوات. وهذا العام احتفلت السويدي اليكتريك بمرور 10 سنوات على تواجدها في إثيوبيا واقامة أول مصنع لإنتاج الكابلات في البلاد والذي تأسس عام 2009. وفي زامبيا، وقعت السويدي اليكتريك على مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة تويوتا تسوشو اليابانية لإقامة مشروعين لتوليد الطاقة الشمسية بقدرات اجمالية تصل إلى 100 ميجاوات مع نظام لبطاريات تخزين الطاقة.
