February 05, 2018 – Industry experts are optimistic that the oil and gas storage industry in some key global markets is poised for significant increase driven by strong oil demand, vibrant logistics activity in the oil and gas, and robust international and domestic trade activities. The international oil storage sector is projected to rise at a compound annual growth rate of 4.2 per cent from 2017 to 2023 as per the report of the Allied Market Research firm.
Southeast Asia is one of the leading global markets with considerable growth potential. According to the report by Aruvians Research titled ‘Analyzing the Global Oil & Gas Storage Industry,’ the lack of storage infrastructure in major oil-consuming states such as China is one of the main factors behind the expanding regional oil storage industry.
Amidst the background of the booming oil storage sector in the region, Renish Group, a fast-growing company in the oil storage space, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Mehra as its new CEO for Southeast Asia. Mehra has been appointed as the Group’s Director - Strategy and Planning in the UAE as well. A motivational leader who has consistently delivered exemplary results, he is known for clearly defining mission and goals; effectively aligning people and resources as needed; and efficiently supervising rapid network expansion, infrastructure development, and strategic planning programs.
Mehra, post his super-annuation from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), worked as strategic advisor and consultant for several companies in Mumbai, India. In his noteworthy six years stint as BPCL’s Head of International Trade, he oversaw the import of nearly 28 million tons of crude oil, import-export of petroleum products, and commodity hedging. His efficient handling of International Trade led to a significant increase in the corporation’s profitability.

أعلنت "مجموعة رينيش" (Renish Group)، إحدى الشركات سريعة النمو في مجال إستيراد وتصدير وتخزين النفط، عن تعيينها راكيش مهرا رئيساً تنفيذياً جديداً لعملياتها في جنوب شرق آسيا. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم تعيين مهرا مديراً للاستراتيجية والتخطيط للمجموعة في دولة الإمارات، حيث يقوم حالياً بقيادة النمو الإجمالي للمجموعة والعمليات الرئيسية في جنوب شرق آسيا، ووضع وتنفيذ خطط الأعمال الاستراتيجية في دولة الإمارات.
ويبدي الخبراء تفاؤلهم حيال نمو صناعة تخزين النفط والغاز في بعض الأسواق العالمية الرئيسية نظراً للطلب القوي على النفط والنشاط الكبير في الخدمات اللوجستية ضمن قطاع النفط والغاز، فضلاً عن تنامي الأنشطة التجارية الدولية والمحلية. ومن المتوقع أن يرتفع النمو في قطاع تخزين النفط الدولي بمعدل نمو سنوي مركب قدره 4.2% في الفترة من 2017 إلى 2023 وفقاً لتقرير صادر عن شركة "ألايد لأبحاث السوق" (Allied Market Research).
وتعد منطقة جنوب شرق آسيا واحدة من الأسواق العالمية الرائدة التي تتمتع بإمكانات كبيرة للنمو. ويشير تقرير صادر عن "آروفيانس ريسيرتش" (Aruvians Research) حمل عنوان "تحليل سوق تخزين النفط والغاز العالمي" (Analyzing the Global Oil & Gas Storage Industry)، إلى أن نقص البنية التحتية الخاصة بتخزين النفط والغاز في دول رئيسية مستهلكة للنفط مثل الصين يعد أحد العوامل الرئيسية وراء التوسع في صناعة تخزين النفط على المستوى الإقليمي.
واستطاع مهرا بناء سجل حافل في مجال النفط والغاز، حيث سبق له قيادة فرق متعددة التخصصات وأظهر قدرة وكفاءة عالية في إدارة مجموعات متنوعة، وهو صاحب رؤية استراتيجية لإدارة التغيير والتطوير داخل الشركات. كما يعرف مهرا، بوصفه قائداً ملهماً حقق على الدوام نتائج مثالية، بقدرته العالية على تحديد المهام والأهداف، ومواءمة الموظفين والموارد بفعالية وحسب الحاجة، والإشراف الفعال على التوسع السريع للشبكة، وتطوير البنية التحتية، وبرامج التخطيط الاستراتيجي.
وعمل مهرا، بعد تقاعده من شركة "بهرات بتروليوم كوربوريشن" (Bharat Petroleum Corporation)، مستشاراً استراتيجياً في العديد من الشركات في مومباي في الهند. وخلال السنوات الست الأخيرة التي شغلها كرئيس للتجارة الدولية لدى "بهرات بتروليوم كوربوريشن"، أشرف مهرا على استيراد حوالي 28 مليون طن من النفط الخام، بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ عمليات استيراد وتصدير المنتجات البترولية، وتحوط السلع. وبفضل كفاءته في إدارة التجارة الدولية استطاعت الشركة تحقيق زيادة كبيرة في أرباحها.
