(Dubai, 5 July 2017) – Thailand has been named as the Best Golf Destination at the first-ever Arabian Travel Awards last night, July 4, 2017 at JW Marriott Dubai.
The award was received by Mr. Chalermsak Suranant, Director – Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai and Middle East office.
Arabian Travel Awards is DDP group’s first-ever international initiative to celebrate the best talent from the tourism and hospitality industries in the Middle East. DDP group is the publisher of one of the Middle East’s leading travel trade publication, TravTalk Middle East. The awards consist of a unique system of jury judgement and internet voting to give out absolutely fair and unbiased results.
Mr. Chalermsak Suranant said, “We would like to thank the jury of Arabian Travel Awards for this recognition and all the people who voted for Thailand as the Best Golf Destination. This is truly a manifestation of our hard work and dedication to give our Middle East-based golf enthusiasts the highest quality of golf products and services.”
He added, “Golf tourism has long been seen as a niche market. Moreover, Thailand can boast some of the best courses in the world, many designed by well-known golfing names with great value for money and state-of-the-art facilities, attractions underlined by excellent services from professional caddies. Golfers also get the chance to enjoy the kingdom’s infinite variety of tourism services, festivals, food, and fun, which are offered by the golf destinations, not to mention our renowned Thai hospitality. For ladies, they can partake in several leisure activities after a round of play, such as spa treatments, facials, Thai cooking classes, or shopping in local markets and luxury malls”
The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Asst. Undersecretary of Public Health Policy & Licensing Sector in UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention, who was the Chief Guest for the evening. His Excellency Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Chief Executive Officer, Sharjah Investment & Development Authority, Shurooq, Sharjah has also graced the event as Guest of Honour.
Early this year, TAT has appointed Mr. Thongchai Jaidee, one of Thailand’s premier golfer and one of Asia’s most awarded golf champion as the latest Middle East brand ambassador to promote the Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise campaign aimed to generate awareness in the Middle East about Thailand as a leading destination for golf enthusiasts.
“We are promoting the Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise project via the ‘Thainess through Celebs’ campaign not only to push Thailand forward internationally as Asia’s golf paradise, but also as a quality golfing destination for everyone. Thongchai Jaidee is the perfect ambassador his exemplary achievement in the golfing industry with recognitions not only in Thailand but the whole of Asia and Europe region respectively. We are confident that his appointment as the new face of our campaign to promote golf tourism in Thailand will attract more tourist from the Middle East to play golf in Thailand.” Suranant added.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) plans to focus on enhancing visitor expenditure rather than growing visitor numbers by providing value-added products and services, and motivating visitors to stay longer and spend more while ensuring a balance between tourism growth and its social and environmental impact.
تايلاند تحصد لقب أفضل وجهة للغولف ضمن جوائز السفر العربية 2017
(دبي،دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ،6 يوليو 2017 ) : حصدت تايلاند لقب أفضل وجهة للغولف من أربيان ترافلر أوردز (جوائز السفر العربية)،وذلك من خلال حفل بارزجرت فعاليته في 4 يوليو 2017 بفندق جي دبليو ماريوت دبي . وتسلم الجائزة السيد تشاليرمساك سورانانت ،مدير هيئة تايلاند للسياحة في دبي والشرق الأوسط .
وتعد جوائز السفر العربية أول مبادرة دولية لمجموعة دي دي بي العالمية،التي تكرس جهودها للاحتفال بأفضل المواهب من قطاعي السياحة والضيافة في الشرق الأوسط.وتشتهر المجموعة بأنها تصدر أحد المنشورات الرائدة التي تعنى بتجارة السفر على صعيد المنطقة،وتتكون الجوائز من نظام فريد من نوعه عبر هيئة تحكيم نخبوية وميزة التصويت الإلكتروني لإعطاء نتائج عادلة وغير متحيزة .
وتحدث السيد تشاليرمساك سورانانت قائلاً: إننا نعرب عن امتنان شكرنا للجنة التحكيم الخاصة بجوائز السفر العربية لهذا الاعتراف المرموق ،إضافة إلى تقدير جميع الناس الذين صوتوا لصالح تايلاند كأفضل وجهة للغولف. منوهاً إن فوزنا بهذه الجائزة يظهر مدى عملنا الشاق والتفاني في إعطاء عشاق الغولف الشرق أوسطيين أعلى جودة من المنتجات والخدمات في هذا الميدان.
وأشار سورانانت في خضم حديثه بأن سياحة الغولف في المملكة لها باع طويل وسوقاً متخصصة. فضلاً عن إن تايلاند تزخر ببعض من أفضل الدورات في العالم، والعديد من تصميمها مستوحى من قبل أسماء الغولف المعروفة مع قيمة كبيرة مقابل المال والمرافق العصرية التي تجمع ما بين الفن ومناطق الجذب السياحي. من جانب آخر يستطيع لاعبو الغولف الحصول على فرصة الاستمتاع بمجموعة متنوعة لا حصر لها من البرامج السياحية ،المهرجانات،المأكولات الشهية وأنماط الترفيه التي تقدمها وجهات الغولف، ناهيك عن كرم الضيافة التايلاندي ذات السمعة الشهيرة عالمياً، أما بالنسبة للسيدات، يمكنهم المشاركة في العديد من الأنشطة الترفيهية بعد جولة من لعبة الغولف، مثل علاجات السبا، الوجه، دروس الطبخ التايلاندي، أو التسوق في الأسواق المحلية ومراكز التسوق الفاخرة .
وحضر هذا الحدث سعادة الدكتور أمين حسين العامري، مساعد. وكيل وزارة الصحة العامة وقطاع الترخيص في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة،وحل السيد مروان بن جاسم السركل، الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير( شروق)، كضيف شرف.
وفي وقتٍ سابق من العام الجاري عينت هيئة تايلاند للسياحة النجم الرياضي تشاي جايدي الذي نال ألمع البطولات على المستوى القارة الآسيوية، سفيراً جديداً لها لرياضة الجولف في الشرق الأوسط،وجاء هذا التعيين سيعاً من الهيئة لترويج لحملة "أميزينج تايلاند جولف برادايس2017" من جهة ،و رفع الوعي تجاه تايلاند كمقصد مثالي لمحبي رياضة الغولف من جهة آخرى .
واختتم سورانانت كلمته بالتطرق إلى منافع حملة " أميزينج تايلاند جولف برادايس2017 عبر مفهوم التاينس الذي يعكس ملامح الحياة التايلاندية .
وتخطط هيئة للسياحة للتركيز على استراتيجية تعزيز نفقات الزوار بدلا من زيادة أعداد الزوار بواسطة توفير منتجات وخدمات ذات قيمة مضافة وتحفيز الزوار على البقاء لفترة أطول مع ضمان التوازن بين نمو السياحة وتأثيره الايجابي على الحياة الاجتماعية والبيئية .
