Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, "Epson") announces that cumulative global sales of Epson's high-capacity ink tank inkjet printers have reached 20 million units.
Epson first launched high-capacity ink tank printers in October 2010 in Indonesia. Since then, the printers have continued to be introduced in about 150 countries and regions. Sales have grown steadily in every region where these printers are sold. In June 2016, cumulative sales reached 15 million globally, with growth especially pronounced in emerging markets. According to Epson research, Epson's series of high-capacity ink tank inkjet printers make up about 10% of the combined laser printer/inkjet printer market in those countries (which totaled about 45 million units in the fiscal year ended March 2016).
Epson believes that the strong support from customers is the result of the merits of the series, including the elimination of the need to change ink cartridges, lower printing costs, and a smaller volume of resource waste from the use of consumables.
Printer unit sales in emerging markets
Epson has promoted its high-capacity ink tank inkjet printers to customers of many types, in particular highlighting Epson's credentials as a supplier of office products, along with the value customers can enjoy through a full product lineup. Epson will continue to emphasize the advantages its technical expertise and strong products offer as we work to further expand our business.
Epson forecasts 25% year-on-year unit sales growth for these printers in the fiscal year ended March 2017, and that these products will account for approximately 40% of Epson inkjet printers sold in the same period.

القاهرة – جمهورية مصر العربية، 13 أبريل 2017: أعلنت شركة "إبسون" اليوم أن طابعاتها ذات خزانات الأحبار عالية السعة حققت مبيعات عالمية تراكمية بلغت 20 مليون وحدة مما يثبت نجاح هذا النظام الذي أحدث تغييراً جذرياً في صناعة الطابعات.
وطرحت إبسون طابعاتها ذات خزانات الحبر عالية السعة لأول مرة في شهر أكتوبر 2010 في إندونيسيا، واستمرت بعدها تلك النوعية من الطابعات في تقدُّم مستمر، حيث تم إطلاقها في حوالي 150 دولة ومنطقة حول العالم. وشهدت المبيعات نموًا مطردًا في كافة المناطق التي يتم فيها بيع هذه الفئة من الطابعات. وفي يونيو من العام 2016، بلغت المبيعات التراكمية لهذه الطابعات 15 مليون وحدة حول العالم، مع نمو مستمر في كافة المناطق، وفي الأسواق الناشئة على وجه التحديد. وتشير أبحاث إبسون إلى هذا النوع الجديد من الطابعات استطاع أن يحدث تأثيراً قوياً في السوق وكان ذلك جلياً في الأسواق الناشئة، حيث شكلت مبيعاتها نسبة 10% من إجمالي مبيعات الطابعات العاملة بالليزر والأخرى العاملة بالحبر النفاث، مما يمثل حوالي 45 مليون طابعة (خلال السنة المالية المنتهية بشهر مارس 2016).
وبحسب "إبسون" فإن سبب نجاح الطابعات ذات خزانات الأحبار عالية السعة يعود إلى عدة عوامل أهمها مستوى الراحة واليسر حيث يقوم المستخدم بملء خزان الحبر الضخم لطباعة آلاف الصفحات دون توقف. كما تتميز هذه الطابعات بفاعليتها وتحديدًا عند مقارنة التكلفة مع الإنتاج حيث تضمن مستويات توفير عالية للمؤسسات من حيث التكاليف، واستهلاك الطاقة، والمواد الاستهلاكية.
مبيعات طابعات إبسون في الأسواق الناشئة:
