England’s polo team to be welcomed to Dubai by Mohammed Al Habtoor in the inaugural competition between the UAE and England teams
The England Polo team will compete in the inaugural England International Polo Classic against a UAE team captained by Mohammed Al Habtoor in an event sponsored by leading international property agency Chestertons MENA, on 16 December 2016 at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.
The international match will see the two teams compete for an original miniature of one of polo’s most prestigious trophies – The Coronation Cup. It is the only time this miniature trophy has been awarded since the first ever Coronation Cup, which took place in 1911 to celebrate the coronation of King George V and was won by representatives of the Indian Polo Association.

Polo is in the very fabric of the UAE and so it is only fitting that such a prestigious Trophy is contested here in what should be a very memorable occasion.”
Captained by Charlie Cadogan, four of England’s leading polo players will be looking to score a memorable victory over a formidable UAE team who will want to ensure the Coronation Cup remains in Dubai.
It is hoped the contest will become a regular fixture on the polo calendar. The eagerly-anticipated match will be played at a 14-goal handicap level under Hurlingham Polo Association rules.

General admission tickets are free to this very special game, however for those who like to watch polo in style, a brunch will be on offer on the terrace of the newly built St Regis Hotel starting from 1pm.
In addition to two games of polo - the second being the international match starting at 2.30pm - there will be plenty of entertainment and fun for all the family.
The England Polo Team will also be on hand before and after the international match to meet guests and sign autographs.

فريقا الإمارات وإنجلترا لرياضة البولو يتنافسان في حدث عالمي بمدينة دبي برعاية شركة "تشيسترتنس"
تستضيف دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الفريق الإنجليزي للبولو والذي سيقابل الفريق الإماراتي بقيادة محمد الحبتور وذلك في حدث مميز تستضيفه "تشيسترتنس" الشرق الأوسط الشركة العالمية الرائدة في قطاع الخدمات العقارية وذلك يوم الجمعة القادم في نادي ومنتجع الحبتور للبولو.
وسيتنافس الفريقان للفوز بهذه المباراة الدولية والحصول على النسخة المصغرة من كأس التتويج (The Coronation Cup)، وهذه هي المرة الوحيدة التي تمنح فيها هذه الكأس المصفرة منذ إطلاق هذه البطولة في عام 1911 للاحتفال بتتويج الملك جورج الخامس والتي فاز بها ممثلون عن جمعية البولو الهندية.
وبهذا السياق قال روبن تيه، المدير الإقليمي في دولة الإمارات، ورئيس قسم التقييمات والاستشارات في شركة "تشيسترتنس" الشرق الأوسط: "يسعدنا المشاركة في تنظيم هذا الحدث التاريخي في مدينة دبي بالنظر إلى أهمية هذه الرياضة في دولة الإمارات، ويمثل قدوم هذه الجائزة المرموقة إلى هنا مناسبة مميزة للغاية".
وسيقود تشارلي كادوجان الفريق الإنجليزي الذي يضم نخبة من أهم لاعبي البولو على مستوى العالم بهدف الفوز على الفريق الإماراتي على أرضه والذي سيسعى بدوره لإبقاء كأس التتويج في دبي. ومن المخطط أن تصبح هذه المباراة حدثاً دائماً على أجندة فعاليات رياضة البولو. وستُلعب هذه المباراة وفق قوانين جمعية هورلينجهام للبولو.
ومن جانبه قال أوليفر هيوز، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لجمعية هورلينجهام للبولو: "إن قدوم الفريق الإنجليزي للبولو إلى مدينة دبي للمرة الأولى يمثل مناسبة هامة. وتعتبر دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الآن واحدة من أسرع دول العالم من حيث نمو انتشار رياضة البولو، ونحن سعداء باستضافة هذا الحدث في نادي ومنتجع الحبتور للبولو الذي يُعد واحداً من أفضل الأماكن لممارسة هذه الرياضة على مستوى العالم".
وستكون بطاقات الدخول لهذا الحدث متاحة مجاناً للجمهور للاستمتاع بهذه المباراة العالمية التي ستبدأ في تمام الساعة 2:30 ظهراً، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الأنشطة الترفيهية والمسلية لكافة أفراد الأسرة. ويمكن للحضور مقابلة أعضاء المنتخب الإنجليزي قبل وبعد المباراة لتوقيع الصور التذكارية.
