Schneider Electric honors outstanding instructors and students taking part in its educational initiatives


Continued momentum and investment in free education program demonstrates company’s commitment to building a more sustainable, energy efficient future
  • Schneider Electric signs MoU with Helwan University to establish a Technical Education Academy at the renowned technical university
  • The company honors the winners of Energy University Competition and provides them with required equipment to execute their projects      
Cairo, Egypt: August 30, 2016 –Stemming from its continuous support to education and training in Egypt, Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, held an awards ceremony to honor outstanding instructors and students who participated in its educational initiatives and programs. The event was held under the umbrella of Schneider Electric's "Future is On" program, which aims to support and enhance engineering and technical education, while developing skills of future engineers and technicians alike. The ceremony was attended by Eng. Albert Fuchet, Country President, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa; Eng. Hany Shaltoot, Head of Engineering Solutions and Training, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa, Eng. Tarek El Nabarawy, President of the Engineers Syndicate; and a number of Schneider Electric VPs and university professors.  
To further expand its education and training activities across Egypt, Schneider Electric signed an MoU with Helwan University to establish Schneider Technicians Academy, a technical training center to qualify electricians and technicians. The initiative aims to develop the skill sets of as many technicians as possible under university supervision, as a way to upgrade the technical and professional capabilities of the trainees. The agreement was signed by Eng. Seif Al Demerdash, Distribution Sales Manager, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa and Professor. Azza Barakat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Helwan University, while the signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Albert Fuchet and Eng. Hany Shaltoot.

By helping them reach their potential to bring about a more sustainable world, university students and technicians will drive changes in industries and communities, supported by what they have learned through our programs."
During the event, Schneider Electric demonstrated a number of its initiatives and programs to support the education sector in Egypt. These initiatives include the opening of two training labs at the Faculties of Engineering at Ain Shams and Helwan universities. The labs are equipped with the latest devices and energy management solutions provided by Schneider Electric.
Schneider Electric has organized a number of training programs dedicated to technicians, aiming to create a new generation of professional technicians. In this regard, Schneider Electric has signed cooperation protocols with major Egyptian universities, educational institutions and syndicates, including "Seeds of Hope" program in cooperation with Don Bosco Institute in Cairo and Alexandria, and the "Professional Electrician" program with NAAS Academy. Schneider Electric honored outstanding students, who participated in its educational and training initiatives including top graduates of NAAS Academy and Don Bosco, batch 2015/2016 as well as outstanding instructors.
During the ceremony, Schneider Electric honored graduating students of its Energy University™, the online educational portal of Schneider Electric. The top five graduated students of the university received certificate of excellence and valuable gifts, while another 65 students who submitted 12 projects, received certificate of merit and valuable awards, in addition to Schneider Electric technical support to execute their dream projects. The company will offer them technical devices and training by a team of Schneider Electric engineers. The competition topics were related to energy efficiency, safety and protection, automation, and energy management.      
"We are proud of our ongoing cooperation with public and private Egyptian universities to train and prepare the new generation of Egyptian engineers. We cooperate with Faculty of Engineering in Ain Shams, Helwan, and Al Mostakbal universities, in addition to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and others,” said Eng. Hany Shaltoot, Head of Engineering Solutions and Training, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa. "Schneider Electric's interest to develop higher education in general and engineering education in particular, stems from our strategic vision for the Egyptian market, because we believe in Egypt's future, which relies on qualified young generations, who will make a difference."
"Schneider Electric's market studies revealed that despite the extensive hands-on experience of the Egyptian electrical installation technicians, they are willing to learn more and develop their skills through academic; theoretical and practical training which was not available for most of them before," said Eng. Seif Al Demerdash, Distribution Sales Manager, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa, and the official in charge of the Professional Electrician Program. "Schneider Electric is keen on developing various training programs and establishing training labs to improve the skills of the Egyptian technicians and upgrade their level of professional performance," he added.

Schneider Electric established its operations in Egypt in 1987 and has around 1400 employees, with its headquarters located in Cairo. The company has several branches across Egypt and an ISO certified Regional Equipment Plant and Product Distribution Center in Badr City. The plant is specialized in manufacturing low and medium voltage panels. Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa exports its products to Sudan, Qatar, UAE, Zambia, Nigeria, Morocco and other countries in the region.

القاهرة-مصر، 30 أغسطس، 2016- في إطار دعمها المتواصل لقطاع التعليم والتدريب في مصر؛ أقامت شنايدر إليكتريك، الشركة العالمية المتخصصة في إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الآلي، احتفالية لتكريم الطلاب والأساتذة المتميزين الذين شاركوا في المبادرات والبرامج التدريبية التي أطلقتها شنايدر إليكتريك في مصر. جاءت الاحتفالية في إطار برنامج شنايدر إليكتريك “Future is On” والذي يهدف لدعم وتطوير التعليم الهندسي والفني للطلاب والفنيين المصريين على حد سواء. حضر الاحتفال المهندس/ ألبير فوشيه-العضو المنتدب لشركة شنايدر إليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق أفريقيا، والمهندس/ هاني شلتوت-رئيس قطاع تطوير الحلول الهندسية والتدريب في شنايدر إليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق أفريقيا، ونقيب المهندسين المهندس/ طارق النبرواى وعدد من رؤساء القطاعات بالشركة، إلى جانب عدد من أساتذة الجامعات.
شهد الاحتفال توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع جامعة حلوان لإنشاء مركز تدريب وتأهيل لفنيي الكهرباء والتحكم بكلية الهندسة جامعة حلوان تحت اسم "أكاديمية شنايدر لفنيي الكهرباء" Schneider Technicians Academy. ويهدف المشروع لتأهيل أكبر عدد ممكن من فنيي الكهرباء والتحكم سواء العاملين حالياً او مستقبلاً في السوق المصري تحت إشراف جامعي، وذلك لضمان الارتقاء بالمستوى التقني والأداء الاحترافي للفنيين. قام بتوقيع الاتفاقية المهندس/ سيف الدمرداش،مدير إدارة التوزيع و المسئول عن برنامج الكهربائي المحترف ممثلاً عن شركة شنايدر إليكتريك، والدكتورة/ عزة بركات عميد كلية الهندسة بجامعة حلوان ممثلاَ عن الجامعة بحضور المهندس/ ألبير فوشيه والمهندس/ هاني شلتوت.
وبهذه المناسبة علق المهندس/ ألبير فوشيه-العضو المنتدب لشركة شنايدر إليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق أفريقيا -قائلاً: "نؤمن في شنايدر إليكتريك بأهمية الاستثمار في الشباب حيث أنهم أثمن ما تمتلكه مصر من موارد وأصول. ويُعد التعليم المتخصص في قطاع الطاقة من العناصر الأساسية لتمكين المنظمات والمجتمعات من بناء مستقبل أفضل وبيئة أكثر استدامة وكفاءة في جميع أنحاء العالم. ولذلك تسعى شنايدر إلكتريك لمساعدة طلبة الجامعات المصرية والفنيين ، بحيث يصبحوا من أهم العوامل الداعمة للتغيير في الصناعات والمجتمعات المحلية من خلال تطبيق ما تعلموه في برامج شنايدر إليكتريك التعليمية والتدريبية من أجل عالم وبيئة أكثر استدامة."  
وبهذة المناسبة، استعرضت شنايدر إليكتريك أهم المبادرات والبرامج التي أطلقتها لدعم قطاع التعليم في المجتمع المحلي، والتي تضمنت افتتاح معملين للتدريب وتجهيزهما بأحدث أجهزة القياس والمعدات المستخدمة في مجال الطاقة وإدارتها وكفاءة استخدامها في كُلية الهندسة بجامعتي عين شمس وحلوان حيث تم تكريم عدد من أسانذة جامعة حلوان خلال الحفل. ولم تقتصر المبادرات التي أطلقتها شنايدر إليكتريك على ذلك، بل تضمنت دورات وبرامج تدريبية للفننين بهدف خلق جيل جديد من الفنيين المحترفين، حيث قامت شنايدر إليكتريك بالتوقيع على عدد من بروتوكولات التعاون في مجال التدريب مع كبرى الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية والنقابات في مصر منها برنامج "بذرة أمل" بالتعاون مع معهد الدون بوسكو في القاهرة والإسكندرية، بالإضافة لبرنامج الكهربائي المحترف بالتعاون مع أكاديمية ناس. تم تكريم الطلاب المتميزين الذين شاركوا في مبادرات شنايدر إليكتريك التعليمية، حيث قامت الشركة بتكريم أوائل دفعة 2015/2016 من طلبة أكاديمية ناس ومعهد الدون بوسكو، إلى جانب عدد من الأساتذة والمشرفين بالمعهد والأكاديمية.
وخلال الحفل، تم تكريم طلاب بوابة شنايدر إليكتريك التعليمية الإلكترونية Energy University™ وهي بوابة تعليمية إلكترونية مستقلة وفريدة من نوعها في قطاع إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الآلي. فقد حصل الفائزون الخمسة في المسابقة التي أطلقتها الجامعة مؤخراً على جوائز قيمة وشهادات تميُّز، بينما حصل الطلاب أصحاب المشروعات الـ 12 الفائزة، والبالغ عددهم 65 طالب على شهادات تقدير وجوائز قيمة، هذا إلى جانب دعم ورعاية شنايدر إليكتريك لهذه المشروعات من خلال توفير المعدات الفنية اللازمة لتنفيذها، مع قيام فريق من مهندسي الشركة بإلقاء عدد من المحاضرات المتخصصة على الطلبة. تناولت المسابقة عدد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بالطاقة منها كفاءة استخدام الطاقة، توفير الأمان والحماية للأفراد، والتحكم الآلي، ونظم إدارة الطاقة.
ومن جانبه، علق المهندس/ هاني شلتوت-رئيس قطاع تطوير الحلول الهندسية والتدريب في شنايدر اليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق أفريقيا بقوله: "تفخر شنايدر اليكتريك بتعاونها بصورة مستمرة مع الجامعات المصرية الحكومية والخاصة في مجال تدريب واعداد الأجيال الجديدة من الكوادر الهندسية حيث تقوم الشركة بالتعاون مع كليات الهندسة في جامعات عين شمس وحلوان والمستقبل والاكاديمية العربية البحرية وغيرها إنّ اهتمامنا بتطوير التعليم الجامعي عامة والتعليم الهندسي في مصر بصورة خاصة، يمثل أحد التوجهات الاستراتيجية للشركة في مصر، لأننا نؤمن أن مستقبل هذا البلد يعتمد في المقام الأول على أبنائه المؤهلين والقادرين على العمل والإنتاج وصنع الفارق."
كما يعلق المهندس/ سيف الدمرداش، مدير إدارة التوزيع و المسئول عن برنامج الكهربائي المحترف بقوله: "أثبتت الدراسات التسويقية التى قامت بها شركة شنايدر اليكتريك مصر أنه على الرغم من تميز فني التركيبات الكهربائية فى الجانب العملى من مهنته وخبرته التى قد تمتد لأعوام، إلا أن لديه رغبة حقيقية وإستعداد كبير للتعلم وإستكمال ما ينقصه من مهارات من خلال التدريب الأكاديمي النظرى والعملي الذي لم يكن متاحاً لغالبية فنيين الكهرباء من قبل. لذلك، حرصت شنايدر إليكتريك مصر على تصميم برامج تدريبية متنوعة وإنشاء معامل للتدريب بهدف تطوير مهارات فنيي الكهرباء والإرتقاء بهم إلى مستويات أعلى من الإحترافية."
بدأت شنايدر إليكتريك أعمالها في السوق المصري عام 1987 ويبلغ عدد العاملين بها حوالي 1400 موظف. يقع المقر الرئيسي للشركة بالقاهرة بالإضافة لمصنعها الإقليمي الحاصل على شهادة الأيزو والمتخصص في إنتاج اللوحات الكهربائية للجهد المنخفض والمتوسط وكذلك مركز توزيع المنتجات بمدينة بدر. تقوم شنايدر إليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق أفريقيا بتصدير منتجاتها للعديد من دول المنطقة مثل: السودان، قطر، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، زامبيا، نيجيريا والمغرب وغيرها.
