A Transguard cleaner from Dubai Festival City Mall, was recognised for his honesty and dedication at the annual Transguard staff party when, during his daily rounds at the mall, he found a bag containing AED 100,000 in cash.
The recipient of the annual accolade, Nisham Kunnath Valappil, received a cash bonus, a plane ticket home, an extra seven days’ holiday and a trophy to celebrate the occasion for his honesty and dedication for his role in returning the bag to its rightful owner.
“During my every day duties at the mall I found a bag in the male prayer room. I immediately contacted my supervisor and together we realised that someone had left a great deal of money. I’m extremely proud to have received this award from Transguard, to be recognised by the senior management team is a great honour, more importantly however is the bag was able to be returned to its owner,” said Nisham during the Transgaurd carnival.
Thousands of staff enjoyed the festivities at the annual Transguard staff party in Dubai, helping the Emirates Group company celebrate another successful year.

The runner-up award for ‘Star of the Year’ went to Muhammed Samar Shaheen, a loader at Dubai International Airport, who found a substantial amount of money while offloading a flight. His honesty insured the money was returned to its owner and Muhammad was awarded a trophy and a cash bonus for his efforts.
Both men, along with their colleagues from around the region, enjoyed the carnival fun, with a number of popular fairground games including the wheel of fortune, catch the fish, archery and darts as well as a football penalty competition, an obstacle course and for those with a head for heights, a full size climbing wall and giant inflatable slide.
“Every year we have an amazing day and I’m delighted to say this was no different. We had a mixture of live entertainment including a Karaoke competition, a DJ and Bollywood dancers and some acrobatic African Drummers,” said Matthew Batey, Transguard’s dedicated welfare and recreation manager, who lead a team of volunteers from Transguard to help organise the day.

كرمت "ترانس جارد"، الشركة المتخصصة في خدمات دعم الأعمال التجارية والتابعة لمجموعة الإمارات، عامل نظافة في الشركة لأمانته بعد أن وجد حقيبة تحتوي على 100 ألف درهم في مصلى دبي فستيفال سيتي مول خلال فترة عمله.
وتم تكريم العامل نيشام كوناث فالابيل ضمن الحفل السنوي لموظفي الشركة، ومنحه مكافأة نقدية وتذكرة سفر لموطنه، وعطلة إضافية لمدة سبعة أيام، بالإضافة لدرع تذكاري تقديراً لأمانته ومساهمته الفعالة في إعادة الحقيبة لصاحبها.
وأعرب نيشام عن فخره بالتكريم الذي ناله من الإدارة العليا للشركة بعد أن وجد الحقيبة في مصلى الرجال في المول التجاري ومبادرته بالاتصال بمشرفه الإداري لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة. مؤكداً أن الأهم هو تسليم الحقيبة والنقود لصاحبها.
وشهد الحفل السنوي للشركة كذلك تكريم محمد شاهين، عامل التحميل التابع للشركة في مطار دبي الدولي، بالمركز الثاني لجائزة "نجم العام" التي تقدمها الشركة لموظفيها، وذلك بعد عثوره على مبلغ مالي خلال تفريغه لأمتعة أحد الرحلات ومبادرته بإرجاع كامل المبلغ بكل أمانة لصاحبه، حيث قامت الشركة بتسليمه شهادة تقدير ومكافأة مالية نظير تفانيه وأمانته في العمل.
وأكد جريغ وارد، المدير التنفيذي لترانس جارد جروب، على التزام الشركة المستمر بالعمل لتحقيق سعادة كافة موظفيها لأنهم أغلى ما تملك. مشيراً لتنظيم الشركة العديد من الفعاليات المخصصة للموظفين على مدار العام من أنشطة رياضية، ومسابقات فنية، ودروس اليوغا، وأمسيات سينمائية.
وحول الحفل السنوي للموظفين، قال ماثيو باتي، مدير الرعاية الاجتماعية والترفيه في "ترانس جارد"، بأن الاحتفالية هذا العام كانت مميزة وتضمنت فعاليات ترفيهية متنوعة شملت مسابقات كرة القدم ورمي السهام وتسلق الجدار، وعروض فنية وموسيقية حية لراقصي بوليود وقارعي الطبول الأفريقية، وذلك في أجواء أسرية تعزز الروابط بين كافة العاملين في الشركة، وترسخ ثقافة الفريق الواحد.
