The walk is organised annually as part of Dubai Care’s initiatives to engage the UAE community in improving children’s access to quality education worldwide. An advocate for education and General Manager of Dusit Residences Dubai Marina, Mr.  Emad Hussein said, "We are proud to be part of a cause that enriches the lives of millions of children. Being a diverse organisation serving an even more diverse community, it is our responsibility to support these initiatives. Our participation at the Walk for Education comes under the CSR endeavour, which aims to work towards the betterment of the community. ”

One of the main pillars of Dubai Cares community engagement efforts, the Walk for Education encourages participants of all ages to take the three-kilometre long walk. Around 10,000 thousand participants took part in this year’s walk, which was followed by entertainment and activities for all the participants. The event vitalizes the community spirit of the UAE and attracts families, friends, corporate entities, academic institutions, media, and government organisations to take part and support for children's right to education.
