Tickets open for Turkey’s International Horticultural Expo

Tickets are available for EXPO 2016 Antalya, which opens in two months on 23 April until 30 October 2016, in Antalya, Turkey.  
Seeking solutions for a green future the expo is themed around flowers and children and based on the philosophy ‘Cultivating a green life for future generations’. It is championing the motto ‘Cultivating the Future’ and will explore the themes of bio history, bio diversity, sustainability and green city.
With the support of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), EXPO 2016 Antalya is the first A1 category International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in Turkey.
Tim Briercliffe, AIPH Secretary General, comments: “This will be a wonderful opportunity for both the horticultural industry and the people to come together to witness and celebrate the benefits of horticulture and its very real impact on the future. It is anticipated that eight million local and foreign visits will be made to EXPO 2016 Antalya’s 112-hectare exhibition site over its 6-month duration. We are very proud to approve this expo.”
With conferences, exhibitions, symposiums, as well as national and international congresses, panels, conferences, seminars and workshops, the exposition will become a nexus for cultural, educational and artistic interaction.
Participant countries will introduce their garden cultures, while national and international exhibitors will display best practices and smart solutions in agricultural techniques, organic farming, biotechnology, sustainability and responses to environmental problems. A series of events are also planned throughout the expo to enable children to develop awareness and responsibility for the natural environment. 
Expo features include: An Expo Greenhouse, The Agriculture and Biodiversity Museum, The Kids Science and Technology Centre, the Turkish Biodiversity Theme Trail, a Mosaiculture Plant Sculpture Area, a Water Mill, the Expo Tower, a Convention Centre, Amphitheatres, Kids Island, the Activity Field, Expo Lake, Expo Forest, Culture and Art Street, Restaurants as well as Indoor and Outdoor Gardens.
EXPO 2016 Antalya will create the opportunity to establish the networks needed to empower the health and well-being of future generations. It welcomes people of all ages and from all walks of life. The entire site has been created to be disabled-friendly, with top priority for the comfort of children, the elderly and the disabled as well as business people.
