Over 37 government
entities showcased smart platforms and services at GITEX 2015
Dubai,14th January 2016 – STME, the Middle East’s
leading IT solutions provider and systems integrator (SI), headquartered in
Dubai is seeing increasing collaboration with government and public sector
entities in the UAE. According to Google’s global interactive tool, Consumer Barometer
around 85% of UAE residents access the internet through their smart phones or
tablets, of this over 24% shop online, and 70% of smartphone users said they
would choose to complete a task digitally if the option was available.
Of those
online in the UAE, 70% said they would carry out a task digitally if the
opportunity existed. Knowing the mind-sets of their populace, the UAE Federal
and Local Governments and their branches have extensive plans to digitize
government services through apps or online. As part of these initiatives total
of 37 government entities showcased their ready smart platforms and services at
the recently concluded GITEX 2015.
Considering
demographic trends on the consumption of information and in everyday tasks
migrating online, smart government initiatives are necessary. Yet, this comes
with constant acceleration in the amount of data, and accessing the right
information becomes challenging while users expect uninterrupted access. “At

efficient storage, and protection of data which are our core competencies,’’
said Mr. Ayman.
A major
challenge for the IT organizations working with public and government agencies
is the reluctance to use cloud based solutions. “However the benefits of using
a cloud reflected in lowered costs in maintenance, easy management of the data
infrastructure, and the less time involved when using a cloud to serve
customers on the fly is convincing public and government agencies to use
private or hybrid cloud systems,’’ said STME CEO.
Other
challenges include completing projects as per the stringent SLA's and meeting

تقديم حلول المعلومات والأنظمة المتكاملة ومقرها دبي، تشهد زيادة في فرص التعاون مع
الجهات الحكومية ومؤسسات القطاع العام في الإمارات، والتي تتجه بدورها للتحول الى مؤسسات
ذكية. فوفقا لأداة "جوجل" العالمية، مقياس المستهلك، يستخدم 85 ٪ من سكان الإمارات الإنترنت من خلال هواتفهم

ولذلك، تتجه حكومة الامارات العربية المتحدة والعديد من المؤسسات الاتحادية
والمنظمات الحكومية المحلية وفروعها لوضع خطط واسعة تهدف لرقمنة الخدمات الحكومية من
خلال تطبيقات أو عبر الإنترنت، كما عرضت 37 جهة حكومية جزءا من مخططاتهم الذكية
والخدمات الجاهزة في معرض "جايتكس
2015".
وبالنظر إلى اتجاهات السكان فيما يخص استهلاك الانترنت في انجاز المهام اليومية،
تظهر اهمية المبادرات الحكومية الذكية. ومع ذلك، تأتي هذه المبادرات في وقت يشهد تسارع
مستمر في كمية البيانات مما يشكل تحديا خاصة فيما يتعلق بالوصول إلى المعلومات الصحيحة
بسرعة كبيرة دون انقطاع. وحول هذا الموضوع علق ايمن البياع، الرئيس التنفيذي

لتحقيق خطط الحكومة الذكية المبينة في السياسات الحكومية مثل مبادرة حكومة دبي
2021 ، تتطلب المنظمات الحكومية استشارات مباشرة مع شركات تكنولوجيا المعلومات لتصميم
وتنفيذ واختيار التكنولوجيا المناسبة لتحسين المعايير والخدمات المقدمة من قبل الجهات
الحكومية، واكد البياع على هذا قائلا " الجانب الأكثر
أهمية لجميع مؤسسات القطاع العام هو القدرة على إدارة البيانات وتخزينها بصورة فعالة
وحمايتها وهذه من الكفاءات الأساسية لدينا".
واشار البياع الى التحدي الرئيسي لشركات تكنولوجيا المعلومات في العمل مع المؤسسات
العامة والحكومية والمتمثل في التردد باستخدام الحلول القائمة على الانظمة السحابية،
إلا أن فوائد استخدام الانظمة السحابية تنعكس في انخفاض تكاليف الصيانة وإدارة البنية
التحتية للبيانات بصورة سهلة كما انها تتطلب وقتا اقل في انجاز المعاملات للعملاء.
اما التحديات الأخرى فتتمثل باستكمال المشاريع بحسب اتفاقيات مستوى الخدمة والعمل
بحسب الجداول الزمنية الصعبة التي تضعها المؤسسات الحكومية، الا ان "اس تي ام
