Exclusive event for Dubai Government employees titled ‘Employing big data to add more moments of happiness to your life in Dubai now’
UAE, November 24, 2015 - Dubai Smart Government Department (DSG) today 24th November 2015 organized an exclusive workshop for government employees titled ‘Employing big data to add more moments of happiness to your life in Dubai now.’ The workshop is part of DSG’s innovative activities for the UAE Innovation Week, a platform for all government entities to showcase their latest modern innovations in an effort to disseminate a culture of innovation in UAE society.
The workshop held at Raffles Hotel was attended by a number of government employees in Dubai. The participants were able to develop new strategies and roadmaps based on the vast volume of available data and then classify and analyze the information to make recommendations for further improvement of current smart services offered by government entities and development of new contemporary solutions that meet users’ needs. These new public services will be supported by marketing and advertising campaigns to increase their usage.
H.E. Ahmad Bin Humaidan, DSG Director General, said: “We are participating in the UAE Innovation Week to increase public awareness about the innovative government smart services that we offer to our customers. The event is also an opportunity to discuss and propose innovative ideas and create awareness among our employees and government partners through a series of specialized workshops and informative learning sessions. This workshop focuses on how big data is used for improving the lifestyle in Dubai smart city. We will analyze our big data and how we can use them to design smarter services and apps that meet the needs and ensure the happiness of the public.”
H.E. added: “In co-operation with various government entities and other partners, DSG has built an institutionalized smart system using open and big data for implementation across its several services in line with our 2014-2017 strategy. This move forms part of our seven smart initiatives; namely, smart services for the happiness of customers; smart shared systems, smart participation, smart adoption, and smart empowerment of employees, smart information security, smart data and smart administration.”
The workshop focused on analyzing and gaining knowledge from big data to create an environment that promotes innovation and creativity. It also shed light on the continuously growing volume of unstructured data amid the proliferation of smart devices. During the event, the participants learned about the importance of managing and analyzing databases, as well as using the insights to improve the lives of users and enhance transaction procedures in the government sector.
During UAE Innovation Week at Mirdif City Center, Dubai Smart Government is exhibiting at its stand a wide range of its smart innovative services and apps as well as the first-of its-kind Customer Experience lab enabling the public to post their feedback on government services. The lab allows all citizens and residents, especially those with physical and visual disabilities to contribute for the first time to the process of designing services that meet their requirements and preferences.

حكومة دبي الذكية تنظم ورشة عمل للجهات الحكومية بعنوان "توظيف البيانات الضخمة لإضفاء مزيد من لحظات السعادة على حياتك في "دبي الآن"
الإمارات، 24 نوفمبر، 2015 - نظمت دائرة حكومة دبي الذكية اليوم (الثلاثاء 24 نوفمبر 2015) ورشة عمل مغلقة للجهات الحكومية فقط تحت عنوان "توظيف البيانات الضخمة لإضفاء مزيد من لحظات السعادة على حياتك في "دبي الآن"، وذلك ضمن أنشطتها المبتكرة التي تشارك بها في "أسبوع الإمارات للابتكار" الذي يعتبر منصة لجميع الجهات لعرض أبرز ما توصلت إليه وطبقته من ابتكارات في سياق جهود نشر ثقافة الابتكار في المجتمع.
وقد صممت حكومة دبي الذكية ورشة العمل هذه والتي حضرها عدداً من الموظفين يمثلون الجهات الحكومية في دبي، حيث تفاعلت فيها كل الأطراف المشاركة لرسم طرق وتكتيكات جديدة، يتم من خلالها استغلال هذا الحجم الضخم المتاح من البيانات لمعرفة أولويات وتوجهات فئات المجتمع وقطاعاته المختلفة في الخدمات الذكية، وتصنيف البيانات وتحليلها لاحقاً لرفع توصيات للجهات الحكومية بتطوير الخدمات الذكية الحالية، وتوفير خدمات ذكية جديدة أخرى تلبي احتياجات المتعامل كما يريد هو، إضافة إلى توجيه الحملات التسويقية والإعلانية المستهدِفة لفئات المتعاملين، بما يضمن رفع نسب الإقبال والاستخدام للخدمات الحكومية.
وقال سعادة أحمد بن حميدان مدير عام دائرة حكومة دبي الذكية: "شاركنا في فعاليات "أسبوع الإمارات للابتكار"، بهدف أن تسفر مشاركتنا عن مزيد من التوعية بالخدمات الذكية المُبتكرة التي توفرها الدائرة للمتعاملين، ولتوفير الفرصه لتبادل النقاش وطرح الأفكار المُبتكرة ونشر المعرفة بيننا وبين شركائنا من الجهات الحكومية من خلال تنظيم عدد من ورش العمل المبتكرة المتخصصة والمحاضرات النوعية. وقد ركزت ورشة العمل هذه على توضيح منهجية استخدام البيانات الضخمة في تحسين نمط الحياة في مدينة دبي الأذكى والأكثر ابتكاراً، وكيفية الاستفادة من تحليل البيانات الضخمة الخاصة باستخدامات المُتعاملين، وصولاً لمعلومات يتم توظيفها لتحديث وابتكار الخدمات والتطبيقات الذكية وفقاً لاحتياجاتهم وضماناً لإسعادهم".
وأضاف سعادته قائلاً: "إن حكومة دبي الذكية قامت ببناء نظام للذكاء المؤسسي ونفذته على مجموعة من خدماتها، بالاستفادة من البيانات المفتوحة والبيانات الضخمة بالتعاون مع الجهات الحكومية والشركاء، تماشياً مع استراتيجيتها 2014-2017، التي تضمّنت 7 مبادرات "ذكية ومميّزة"، هي: خدمات ذكية لإسعاد المتعاملين، وأنظمة مشتركة ذكية، والمشاركة الذكية والتبني الذكي، والتمكين الذكي للموارد البشرية، وأمن المعلومات الذكية، وبيانات ذكية، وإدارة ذكية".
وركزت ورشة العمل التي عقدت على العلاقة بين تحليل البيانات الضخمة للتزود بالمعلومات الكافية وإتاحة المعرفة، وصولاً لخلق بيئة مُحفزة على الإبداع والابتكار، كما ألقت الضوء على واقع زيادة حجم هذه البيانات، وكيف أنها تستمر بالتولد بشكل أكبر بكثير من السابق من خلال الأجهزة الذكية، غير أن معظم هذه البيانات ليست مهيكلة. وأوضحت الورشة أهمية إدارة قواعد هذه البيانات وتحليلها واستخدام نتائجها في تحسين حياة المتعاملين ومنهجية التعامل مع الخدمات الحكومية وتزويدها بمزيد من أدوات الرفاهية.
يجدر الذكر أن حكومة دبي الذكية تعرض من خلال منصتها المُقامة خلال "أسبوع الإمارات للابتكار" في مردف سيتي سنتر مجموعة من خدماتها وتطبيقاتها الذكية المبتكرة، بالإضافة لمختبر تصميم تجربة المتعامل الأول من نوعه في المنطقة الذي يتيح للجمهور فرصة الإدلاء بآرائهم حول الخدمات الحكومية والمشاركة العملية في تصميمها بما يتوافق ورغباتهم وتفضيلاتهم. وكذلك إتاحة المجال لفئة ذوي الإعاقة الجسدية والبصرية للمساهمة بتصميم خدمات تناسب احتياجاتهم الجسدية وذلك في تجربة تعد الأولى من نوعها.
