The eighth edition of International
Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia will take place in Shanghai from 2 - 5 June
2013, setting the scene for up to 550 high-end travel agents from across Asia to
design 2015 itineraries for their clients.
The
number of high net worth individuals (HNWIs) in the Asia-Pacific region is set
to rise by 88% over the next decade, the joint highest rate of growth in any
world region, matched only by Latin America. By 2030, 49% of all global
passenger traffic will be within the Asia-Pacific or between the region and the
rest of the world, with India, China and Indonesia dominating the region’s travel
expenditure.
Alison Gilmore, ILTM’s
Senior Exhibition Director commented:
“The pace of the growth in this region is remarkable, not just in the
numbers that are able to travel, but also in the numbers that want to travel. Where
they want to go and what they want to experience is the key question. ILTM Asia 2014 will profile those that are shaping
the next generation of global travel and the diverse demands of the new Asian traveller.”
ILTM Asia 2014
will welcome up to 550 luxury travel brands and experiences from approximately
20 countries across the world. The 550
buyers will be identified and invited from 20 countries across the Asia Pacific
including China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Korea and
Singapore.
Confirmed
exhibitors include The Peninsula Hotels, Orient
Express Hotels, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas,
Shangri-La Hotels, Virgin Limited Edition, Oetker Collection and Four Seasons
as well as Aqua Expeditions, Heavens Portfolio, XO Private and Design Hotels.
Alison Gilmore, ILTM’s Senior
Exhibition Director continued:
“ILTM Asia 2014 will keep buyers conversant in ultramodern luxury
culture and provide everything they need to create authentic travel memories.
Expect to find out about new hot spots such as Myanmar, Papua New
Guinea and Mongolia, and new niche experiences from family travel to adventure to solo
travel.”

international luxury travel suppliers will meet with 550 elite buyers and
