Nabbesh.com Raises Growth Capital through Region’s First Crowdinvesting Platform

Eureeca, the first global crowdinvesting (equity crowdfunding) platform
for SMEs and growth businesses, today announced full funding of
Nabbesh.com, the first business to raise capital through the website in
exchange for equity. The Middle East’s first virtual skills marketplace,
Nabbesh.com reached its funding target only 12 days after it first
launched its search for capital on the platform, making it one of the
quickest success stories for almost any crowdfunding proposal globally.
Nabbesh,
which won the inaugural Middle East start-up reality TV show, ‘The
Entrepreneur’ earlier this year, launched in 2012 to provide a solution
to the growing problem of unemployment in the region. As a digital
platform, that enables individuals with specific skills to find flexible
work opportunities while helping employers access a readily available
talent pool based on business demands. To date, the service has
facilitated jobs for over 700 individuals across the region, and
facilitated connections between thousands of others.
As
with all businesses listed on Eureeca, Nabbesh’s funding proposal
called for a minimum investment of US$100 awarding each investor a share
in the business. Within four days of its proposal being uploaded on eureeca.com,
Nabbesh achieved 50% of its funding target and eventually closed its
funding round with 23 investors today. Nabbesh’s ‘crowd’ investors
include its fans, followers, clients as well as other angel investors on
eureeca.com.
Eureeca,
which launched last month with an additional two funding proposals
currently live on the site, offers a game-changing alternative for SMEs
and growth businesses to source funding. The speed of platform’s success
in facilitating funding for Nabbesh not only proves the viability of
the crowdinvesting model but also demonstrates the market’s significant
appetite for investment opportunities in the region.
Nabbesh,
will be using the capital raised to meet its hiring requirements as
well as expand the company’s network of freelancers and employers to
enable more jobs and connections across the region. In addition to its
scalable business model and sound growth strategy, Nabbesh’s launch of a
flexible employment concept for the region made it an attractive
proposition to investors.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – أعلنت "يوريكا" Eureeca.com،
أول منصة في العالم للاستثمار الجماعي (التمويل الجماعي للأسهم) للشركات
الصغيرة والمتوسطة والشركات النامية، عن إتمام أولى عمليات التمويل عبرها،
وذلك لموقع "نبّش دوت كوم" Nabbesh.com،
الذي يُعتبر أولى الشركات التي تنجح في جمع رأس مال مقابل أسهم. وقد نجح
"نبّش دوت كوم"، وهو أول سوق إلكترونية للمهارات في الشرق الأوسط، في جمع
رأس المال المطلوب خلال 12 يوماً فقط منذ إعلانه، ما يجعل منه أحد أسرع قصص
النجاح في جمع رأس المال ضمن أي مقترح تمويل جماعي تقريباً على الصعيد
العالمي.
وكان
"نبّش"، الذي فاز في وقت سابق من العام الجاري بالدورة الافتتاحية من
"المبادر"، مسابقة تلفزيون الواقع الأولى من نوعها في الشرق الأوسط، قد
انطلق في العام 2012 كمشروع تجاري ذي إمكانيات كبيرة، وهو يجمع المهارات
وفرص العمل في منصة واحدة تتسم بالبساطة والكفاءة، واضعاً حلاً فعالاً
لمشكلة البطالة بالمنطقة. ويمكّن الموقع، كمنصة رقمية، الأفراد ذوي

بمبلغ أقلّه 100 دولار للحصول على سهم في الموقع، مثلما هو حال جميع
مقترحات التمويل المدرجة على "يوريكا". وقد تمكّن "نبش" من جمع 50 بالمائة
من مبلغ التمويل المستهدف خلال أربعة أيام فقط من الإدراج على "يوريكا"،
فيما أغلق اليوم عملية جمع التمويل بثلاثة وعشرين مستثمراً من محبي الموقع
ومتابعيه وعملائه، إضافة إلى مستثمرين من "يوريكا".
ويتيح
موقع "يوريكا"، الذي انطلق رسمياً الشهر الماضي بمقترحي تمويل آخرَين ما
يزالان متاحين على الموقع، بديلاً يتسم بتغيير قواعد اللعبة الاستثمارية
والتمويلية للشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة والشركات النامية الساعية للحصول على
التمويل. وتثبت السرعة التي تمّت بها عملية جمع التمويل لموقع "نبّش" عبر
"يوريكا" الجدوى التي يتسم بها نموذج الاستثمار الجماعي من جهة، كما يُبرز
تعطّش السوق إلى فرص استثمارية في المنطقة.
وسوف يستخدم "نبّش" رأس المال الذي تمّ جمعه لتلبية احتياجاته التوظيفية، إلى جانب توسعة
شبكته من الأفراد العاملين لحسابهم الخاص ومن أصحاب العمل، لتمكين مزيد من

وفي
معرض تعليقه على أول عملية جمع تمويل ناجحة تتمّ عبر "يوريكا"، قال سام
القواسمي، المدير التنفيذي والمؤسس الشريك للموقع، إن "يوريكا" لا تكتفي
بإزالة اللبس والغموض الذي يكتنف عمليات التمويل التقليدية لدى العامّة،
ولكنها أيضاً تقدّم للشركات منصة مفتوحة وشفافة لجمع التمويل، وأضاف: "لا
أدلّ على الكفاءة والإمكانيات الكبيرة والسهولة التي يتسم بها نموذج
الاستثمار الجماعي، من النجاح الذي حققه "نبّش" في جمع رأس مال جامعي خلال
فترة زمنية قصيرة، وهذا الأمر يُظهر كذلك الدور الذي يمكن للاستثمار
