الشركة العربية للأسمنت تحصد جائزة الوقود البديل من قبل خبراء ألمان

BIOS Middle East puts the spotlight on Multi-Cloud during GITEX 2019

BIOS Middle East will be participating at the week-long technology trade show with Cisco, highlighting the benefits of Multi-Cloud environments.

Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Sharjah participates in UAE Maritime Week 2019

Strengthening partnership between the academic sector and maritime industry

Dubai, 24th September 2019: As part of its strategy to consolidate partnership between the academic sector and maritime industry, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) – Sharjah Branch participates in the UAE Maritime Week 2019, which was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, from 22 to 26 September 2019. AASTMT is represented by Dr. Hisham Afifi, Advisor to the President of the Academy and in charge of Khorfakkan’s branch, the Maritime College and Dr. Ahmed Youssef, Deputy Dean of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology.




Partnership between the academic and marine sectors

Dr. Afifi said, “The UAE is an advanced global shipping hub with over AED280 billion in maritime businesses. It hosts dozens of international maritime companies and boasts 19 ports, some of which are ranked first globally. That’s why; the maritime sector needs a lot of support from maritime academic institutions, especially to supply the market with qualified young Emirati professionals, and to test renewal of the maritime passports for seafarers."

Quality Seminars

Commenting on the AASTMT’s participation in the UAE Maritime Week 2019, Dr. Youssef said, “Our participation featured two workshops; the first discussed future prospects for adopting technology to help maritime crews and using robots within their operations. The second workshop was part of the activities of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA) where we presented the great prospects the Academy offers in women's education and empowerment in the maritime industry. I would like to point out that a large number of the Academy’s current students are females. This high demand from female students for marine education is a positive indicator of women's partnership in this key component of the national economic sectors. "




Academy's Stand at Seatrade ShipTech

AASTMT’s team will be also available at the Seatrade ShipTech exhibition. The stand will show the specialties it will provide in Sharjah. The Faculty of Maritime Transport will start its first academic year 2019-2020 with two specialisations; Maritime Transport, which offers a bachelor's degree in Maritime Transport and graduates become permanent maritime officers. The second specialisation is marine engineering, where the graduate receives a bachelor's in Marine Engineering Technology and becomes a third marine engineer. AASTMT also seeks to attract professionals working in maritime companies in the UAE who wish to take specialised training courses as part of its professional development and continuing education programmes. AASTMT provides maritime passport renewal, and cooperates with the training departments of shipping companies to design specialised training programmes in various maritime technical and administrative areas, benefitting from the Academy’s state-of-the-art simulators.




Integrated educational campus

AASTMT’s new branch in Sharjah is a grant by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who will bear the costs of its construction and equipment at a cost of one billion dirhams on an area of ​​200,000 square meters. The Academy will grant students a Bachelor's degree in Applied and Theoretical Sciences and Maritime Transport, a Certificate of Competence in the Maritime Transport, a Second Officer Certificate in Maritime Technology, Marine Safety Technology, Environmental Protection, Shipping and Port Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Technology, a Certificate of Competency for Third Engineer Officer, a Bachelor’s in Marine Electrical Engineering and Certified Electrostatic Technician.




The college will play a pivotal role in bridging the shortage of Emirati professionals in the local and regional markets, in addition to contributing to promoting the UAE's position as one of the key global marine hubs not only in terms of marine infrastructure and facilities, but also as a scientific centre for the industry’s latest research, development and innovation.

دبي_ 24 سبتمبر – 2019: ضمن استراتيجيتها لتكريس الشراكة بين القطاع الأكاديمي والصناعة البحرية؛ تشارك الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري في الشارقة في "أسبوع الإمارات البحري 2019" والذي يقام تحت رعاية من سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ولي عهد دبي رئيس المجلس التنفيذي في الفترة بين 22 و26 سبتمبر الجاري. ويمثل الأكاديمية في أسبوع الإمارات الملاحي 2019 كل من الدكتور هشام عفيفي، مستشار رئيس الأكاديمية والمسؤول عن فرع الأكاديمية في خورفكان، الكلية البحرية، وكذلك الدكتور أحمد يوسف، عميد الكلية البحرية بالإنابة. 

الشراكة بين القطاع الأكاديمي والبحري

وبهذه المناسبة صرح الدكتور هشام عفيفي، مستشار رئيس الأكاديمية والمسؤول عن فرع الأكاديمية في خور فكان، قائلاً: "تعتبر الإمارات مركزاً ملاحياً دولياً متطوراً، تزيد فيه حجم الأعمال البحرية على 280 مليار درهم إماراتي، وتستضيف العشرات من الشركات البحرية الدولية، كما تضم أكثر من 19 ميناء، يحتل بعضها مراتب أولى عالمياً؛ من أجل ذلك فإن القطاع البحري يحتاج إلى دعم كبير من المؤسسات البحرية الأكاديمية، لاسيما في مجال ردف السوق بالخبرات والكوادر المهنية المؤهلة من شباب الإمارات المواطنين، واختبار تجديد جواز السفر البحري للمحترفين والمهنيين العاملين في البحر".

وأضاف عفيفي: "تأتي مشاركتنا في أسبوع الإمارات الملاحي 2019 في وقت غاية في الأهمية بالنسبة لنا ونحن على وشك إطلاق الافتتاح الرسمي للأكاديمية في السابع من شهر أكتوبر القادم، والذي سيعقد في مقر الأكاديمية في خور فكان برعاية وحضور صاحب السمو الشيخ سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، وعدد من القيادات البحرية الوطنية والدولية المتواجدين في الدولة. ونتطلع إلى بناء شراكة حقيقية بين القطاع الأكاديمية الوطني والصناعة البحرية، لنساهم في مجال البحث والتطوير وإعداد الدراسات التقنية والإدارية لمساعدة الشركات على تحقيق المزيد من النمو والتوسع في نوعية منتجاتها وربحية أعمالها".

ندوات نوعية

حول مشاركة الأكاديمية في أسبوع الإمارات الملاحي 2019، أوضح الدكتور أحمد يوسف، عميد الكلية البحرية بالإنابة، قائلاً: "تمثلت مشاركتنا في ورشتي عمل، حيث تناولت الورشة الأولى الآفاق المستقبلية لتبني التكنولوجيا في مجال الطواقم البحري واستخدام الروبوتات ضمن أعمالها، أما الورشة الثانية فكانت ضمن أنشطة رابطة المرأة العربية في القطاع البحري، والتي عرضنا فيها الآفاق الكبيرة التي توفرها الأكاديمية في مجال تعليم المرأة وتمكينها في الصناعة البحرية، وننوه هنا إلى أن أعداداً كبيرة من الطلبة الذين تم قبولهم حالياً في الأكاديمية هم من الفتيات، ويعد هذا الإقبال من قبل العنصر النسائي على التعليم البحري المعني مؤشراً إيجابياً على شراكة المرأة في هذا المكون الهام من قطاعات الاقتصاد الوطني للدولة".

منصة الأكاديمية في معرض "سيتريد شيبتك"

وسيتواجد فريق الأكاديمية ضمن معرض سيتريد البحري، حيث ستعرض الأكاديمية في منصتها التخصصات التي توفرها في الشارقة، حيث ستبدأ الكلية البحرية عامها الدراسي الأول هذا العام 2019-2020 بتخصصين هما: الملاحة البحرية الذي يؤهل الخريج؛ للحصول على بكالوريوس في الملاحة البحرية، ليصبح ضابط بحرية دائماً، والقسم الثاني وهو قسم الهندسة البحرية ويحصل الخريج على درجة بكالوريوس في الهندسة البحرية ويتخرج مهندس ثالث بحري، كما تسعى الأكاديمية إلى استقطاب الكوادر المهنية العاملة في الشركات الملاحية في الدولة والذين يرغبون في الحصول على برامج تدريبية متخصصة ضمن خدمات التطوير المهني والتعليم المستمر الذي توفره الهيئة، إضافة إلى عرض خدمة تجديد جواز السفر البحري، والتعاون مع إدارات التدريب في الشركات الملاحية لتصميم برامج تدريبية خاصة في مختلف المجالات الفنية والإدارية البحرية، واستعراض أجهزة المحاكاة المتطورة التي تمتلكها الأكاديمية.

صرح تعليمي متكامل

بافتتاح فرع الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري في الشارقة، ينضم هذا الصرح الأكاديمي الجديد إلى مكرمات صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي عضو المجلس الأعلى، حاكم الشارقة، والذي تكفل بإنشائها وتجهيزها بكل احتياجاتها، بكلفة مليار درهم، ومساحة 200 ألف متر مربع. وحيث إن الأكاديمية ستمنح الطلبة درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم التطبيقية والنظرية والنقل البحري وشهادة الكفاءة في تخصصات بكالوريوس النقل البحري وشهادة ضابط ثان في تخصصات تكنولوجيا النقل البحري وتكنولوجيا السلامة البحرية وحماية البيئة والشحن وإدارة الموانئ، إضافة إلى بكالوريوس تكنولوجيا الهندسة البحرية وشهادة كفاءة مهندس ثالث وبكالوريوس تكنولوجيا كهرباء بحرية وشهادة كفاءة فني تكنولوجيا كهرباء.

We have lined up a series of demonstrations and interesting activations to give visitors a glimpse into the possibilities of virtual reality, projection mapping, augmented reality; and experience our wide range of products for different industry sectors. We have a customised structure for shared VR experience, built with the support of our partner Igloo Visions, to give visitors an immersive unique VR experience. GITEX is also an opportunity for us to educate visitors on the benefits of our inkjet printing technology versus laser printers.”




In the education zone of Epson’s stand, visitors can interact with the Epson SCARAT3-401S robot which does an amazing job with simple pick-and-place applications, and is used in a huge range of industries, from assembling automotive components, to creating medical equipment and packaging medications. Epson also works with several education institutions to facilitate research in robotics.






The education zone will also feature Epson’s Moverio BT-35E smart glasses that allows you to connect drone monitors, cameras, game consoles, laptops, Android phones, and other video sources via HDMI or USB inputs. It is ideal for commercial applications such as healthcare, engineering and drone piloting.




Corporate visitors can marvel at the new Epson EB-1485Fi laser interactive projector display which will transform any workplace with its large scalable display of up to 120 inches. It enriches collaboration and engagement and allows sharing content from a range of devices simultaneously.




At GITEX this year, Epson presents the EB-L1070u from their professional display range. It’s a compact laser projector with 3LCD technology, interchangeable lenses and helps create stunning projections in auditoriums, lecture theatres, galleries, shopping centres and more. It offers bright (up to 7,000 lumens), detailed, vivid and colourful output. WUXGA HD resolution and 4K enhancement technology.




Epson’s much talked about EH-LS500w home cinema projector with its discreet design, will make its regional debut at GITEX. Providing a big screen experience, this ultra-short-throw laser projector offers 4K enhanced quality,4,000 lumens and a projection display of up to 130 inches.




Also, on the stand will be Epson’s business scanners, inkjet printers, large format printers and WorkForce printers. Epson’s stand will be in Hall 4, G20.

إبسون سوف تعرض أحدث تقنياتها في أسبوع جايتكس للتقنية 2019

ويمكن للزوار في القسم المخصص للتعليم على منصة إبسون التفاعل مع روبوت إبسون SCARAT3-401S الذي يؤدي نشاطات مذهلة في تثبيت الدارات الإلكترونية والمقاومات الكهربائية ويستخدم في مجالات صناعية مختلفة مثل تجميع قطع المركبات وتركيب المعدات الطبية، كما تعمل إبسون مع العديد من المؤسسات التعليمية لتسهيل عملية البحث في مجال الروبوتيات. 

كما سيعرض القسم التعليمي نظارات إبسون الذكية MOVERIO BT-35E التي تتيح الربط مع الطائرات بدون طيار والكاميرات وأجهزة الألعاب واللاب توب وهواتف الآندرويد والفيديو من خلال توصيلات HDMI وUSB، وهي مثالية للتطبيقات التجارية مثل الرعاية الصحية والهندسة وتوجيه الطائرات بدون طيار.

بالإضافة إلى هذا سيكون على المنصة ماسحات إبسون الضوئية الخاصة بالشركات وكذلك طابعات الحبر النفاث والطابعات الكبيرة وطابعات WORKFORCE، كل هذا وأكثر على منصة إبسون G20، في القاعة رقم 4.
