القاهرة 16 يناير 2019 - أعلنت شركة نيسان موتور إيجيبت عن السعر الحصري الجديد لسيارة نيسان قشقاي 2019 الجديدة الذي يبدأ من 394 ألف جنيه مصري. كما يشمل العرض الذي يستمر لنهاية شهر يناير 2019 ، وقود مجاني لمدة عام.

كما ستقوم نيسان برد فروق الأسعار للعملاء المشترين لسيارة نيسان قشقاي في الفترة من 6 نوفمبر وحتى 31 ديسمبر، يأتي هذا تفعيلاً لبرنامج الحماية لتعديل الأسعار المقدم من نيسان وذلك بالتوجه إلي نفس الموزع لاسترداد فرق السعر بشرط تقديم أوراق الشراء ورخصة السيارة من الآن وحتى نهاية شهر يناير 2019 فقط.

Arabian Cement Company Continues to Revolutionize the Cement Industry

The company sealed a first-of-a-kind deal to generate energy by the use of solar energy as part of the energy mix powering its Suez plant in cooperation with SolarizEgypt


Cairo, Egypt, 16 January 2019




Today, Arabian Cement Company (ACC) announced signing an agreement with SolarizEgypt to establish a SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) solar energy plant at its plant in Suez Governorate financed by QNB AlAhli under EBRD-Green Economy Program. The agreement will see SolarizEgypt handling the construction and operation of the unit for the period of 25 years, under a BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) agreement. The agreement was signed by Sergio Alcantarilla, Chief Executive Officer of ACC; Yaseen Abdel Ghaffar, Founder and Managing Director of SolarizEgypt.




With investments worth EGP 100 million, the solar energy unit is expected to generate over 14 Gw hours year; producing up to 4% of the total power supply of ACC’s plant for 25 years. The unit is expected to start operating by the second quarter of 2019; saving significant amounts of the plant’s electricity expenses incrementally every year. Moreover, the solar energy until will be constructed over an area of 96,000 sqm.

Embarking on this project comes in line with the Egyptian Government’s vision to produce 20% of the country’s energy supply from renewable sources by 2020. Earlier in 2018, ACC has been recognized by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, affiliated to the Ministry of Environment, for its remarkable efforts in applying efficient power saving techniques and contributing in environmental preservation. It is worth mentioning that ACC’s plant is completely powered by alternative fuel and coal, after ACC stopped using natural gas to operate its plant. To ensure the process of using coal is environmentally friendly and in line with internationally approved standards, ACC was the first in Egypt to establish and operate its own coal mill in June 2014. This led to replacing around 378 million m3 of natural gas a year by using alternative and solid fuel mix.

الشركة العربية للأسمنت تواصل ريادتها في تطوير صناعة الأسمنت بمصر

عقد صفقة هي الأولى من نوعها لإدخال الطاقة الشمسية في مزيج الطاقة المستخدم لتشغيل مصنع الشركة العربية للأسمنت فى السويس بالتعاون مع شركة سولاريز إيجيبت 

القاهرة في 16 يناير 2019

أعلنت الشركة العربية للأسمنت اليوم عن توقيع اتفاقية شراكة مع شركة سولاريز إيجيبت، لإقامة محطة لتوليد الطاقة الشمسية في مصنع العربية للأسمنت في محافظة السويس، بتمويل من بنكQNB الأهلي تحت برنامج الاقتصاد الأخضر التابع للبنك الأوروبي لإعادة الإعمار و التنمية EBRD. 

وبموجب هذه الاتفاقية ستتولى سولاريز إيجيبت أعمال الإنشاءات وتشغيل المحطة لمدة 25 عاماً، بنظام BOOT (البناء والتملك والتشغيل ونقل الملكية). قام بالتوقيع على الاتفاقية كل من السيد/ سيرخيو ألكانتاريا، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة العربية للأسمنت، والسيد/ ياسين عبد الغفار، المؤسس والعضو المنتدب لشركة سولاريز إيجيبت.

تبلغ الاستثمارات الإجمالية لوحدة الطاقة الشمسية الجديدة 100 مليون جنيه مصري، ومن المتوقع أن تبلغ سعتها الإنتاجية أكثر من 14 جيجاوات ساعة من الطاقة الكهربائية كل عام، وهو ما يخطط أن يمثل 4% من إجمالي إمدادات الطاقة التي يحتاجها المصنع على مدار الربع قرن القادم. 

ومن المتوقع أن تبدأ هذه الوحدة في العمل خلال الربع الثاني من 2019، وهو ما سيعمل على توفير قدر كبير من تكلفة الطاقة الكهربائية بالمصنع كل عام. بالإضافة لذلك، ستقام الوحدة الجديدة على مساحة اجمالية تصل إلى 96000 متر مربع.

إنّ إطلاق هذا المشروع يتوافق مع رؤية الحكومة المصرية لتوليد 20% من إمدادات الطاقة في البلاد من مصادر متجددة بحلول عام 2020. وفي أوائل 2018، قام جهاز شئون البيئة التابع لوزارة البيئة بتكريم العربية للأسمنت لجهودها المتميزة في تطبيق تقنيات توفير الطاقة والمساهمة في المحافظة على البيئة. 

تجدر الإشارة أنّ مصنع العربية للأسمنت يعتمد بالكامل على الوقود البديل والفحم بعد أن توقفت الشركة عن استخدام الغاز الطبيعي في تشغيل المصنع. وللتأكد من أن استخدام الفحم سيكون صديقاً للبيئة وبما يتوافق مع المعايير الدولية المعتمدة في هذا الإطار، كانت العربية للأسمنت هي شركة الأسمنت الأولى في مصر التي تقوم بتشييد وتشغيل طاحونة الفحم الخاصة بها في يونيو 2014. وقد أدى ذلك لاستبدال الشركة لحوالي 378 مليون متر مكعب من الغاز الطبيعي في العام بمزيج من الوقود البديل والمخلفات الصلبة. 

ومن جانبه، يقول السيد/ ياسين عبد الغفار، المؤسس والعضو المنتدب لشركة سولاريز إيجيبت "تفخر سولاريز إيجبت بالإعلان عن الوصول إلي الإقفال المالي لأول اتفاقية لشراء محطة للطاقة الشمسية في قطاع الأسمنت المصري. إنّ هذا المشروع لم يكن من الممكن إنجازه إلا من خلال نموذج أعمال فريد من نوعه، تلعب فيه سولاريز إيجيبت دور المنتج المستقل للطاقة وتقوم ببيع الكهرباء مباشرة للشركة العربية للأسمنت بأسعار تنافسية بالعملة المحلية، وطبقاً للتعريفة الحكومية للطاقة المتجددة. وسيقوم بنكQNB الأهلي بتمويل المشروع تحت برنامج الاقتصاد الأخضر الممنوح من البنك الأوروبي لإعادة الإعمار والتنمية. وتمثل تلك الصفقة ثاني صفقات سولاريز إيجيبت خلال 6 شهور والذي تم تمويله أيضاً من بنك QNB الأهلي، بما يمنح المزيد من المصداقية لاستراتيجية الاستدامة بالشركة، والتي تقدم أعلى وفر للعملاء. تتمتع سولاريز إيجيبت بمكانة رائدة في سوق الطاقة الشمسية التجاري والصناعي بإجمالي مشروعات تم التوقيع عليها توفر قدرات توليد تصل إلى 30 ميجاوات، كما تلتزم الشركة بمواصلة جهودها لنشر استخدام الطاقة الشمسية في السوق المصرية".

AUC ARCHITECTURE GRADUATION PROJECT WINS FIRST PLACE IN A NATIONAL COMPETITION

January 17, 2019, Cairo – The graduation project of Mariam Barsoum, an architecture graduate of The American University in Cairo (AUC), has won the first prize in the competition that was held recently by the Society of Egyptian Architects (the Egyptian Section of the International Union of Architects). The competition jury, composed of the heads of departments of architecture in Egypt, selected Barsoum’s project from the top graduation projects of all Egyptian Universities. Barsoum’s graduation project is an architectural intervention designed to help improve the lives of the people of the Shakshouk informal community in Fayoum Governorate. The project intends to help the local community by providing job opportunities and better life conditions, based on an in-depth study of the users' needs. On winning the award, Barsoum said: “I am really grateful, most importantly because I feel that I will be raising awareness about the depth of the problem in Egypt, motivating other students to follow the same path of investigating the informal sector and developing solutions to the unprivileged communities. And more importantly trying to re-define the role of architects in our community and how it’s not only about building fancy glass façade buildings, but also about the simple things such as giving back to our community.”




Ahmed Sherif, professor and chairman of the Department of Architecture, The School of Sciences and Engineering at AUC, said: “Mariam's graduation project, supervised by professor Ashraf Botros, is composed of integrated residential, commercial and tourist developments. The design builds on understanding the existing urban and life patterns of the local community, thus, it responds to their way of life. The design also provides a large level of flexibility of implementation to suit the varying needs of the low income people. The project utilizes prefabricated systems for efficiency and speed of construction and embraces a number of unique sustainable design concepts.”




Barsoum has always been fascinated by informalities in Egypt ever since she was in high school. “My daily communal route in the school bus involved looking at the informal areas and through the years I have been observing their organic growth. I was noticing that informalities are now emerging as an alternative way of construction in Egypt and in an unhealthy way.” Although she was only 17 at the time, and wasn’t yet settled on pursuing a degree in architecture, she felt that she should have a role towards developing solutions to these unprivileged communities.




As Barsoum pursued her studies in architecture at AUC, she decided to reinforce that idea through her graduation project. “As my graduation project was approaching, I started to question the role of architects concerning this field in Egypt, and wanted to redefine the periphery between the architect and the community. Therefore I decided to act as “the guide” and give these communities a process that is based on their own improvisation, resources and more importantly existing informal village pattern to become sustainable to avoid the pitfalls of social housing.”




Intrigued by buildings, she began to notice how they can influence the way we live and our behavior in general. “And since we spend most of our lives in buildings, architects could actually affect people’s lives positively, and that’s really what I wanted to do.”




Barsoum explained how liberal arts education at AUC widened her horizons: “I believe the liberal arts nature at AUC played an important role in this achievement, getting exposed to different courses outside my major such as sociology, anthropology, philosophy have really shaped my thinking and acted as guiding tools towards my achievement.”



Last year, Alyaa Sherif's architecture graduation project has won the second prize in this competition. Also, the architecture graduation project of Heba El Sawy, has won the UNESCO-UIA & MIDO Student Design Prize for Responsible Architecture “Anthrotecture: The Mountains of Mansheyat Nasser".




“This is an impressive recognition of the quality of projects produced by the students of the Department of Architecture, we are very proud of these achievements. They are testimonies of the quality of education at AUC at the local and international levels,” said Sherif.

Gulf Capital Successfully Exits its Investment in Amana Healthcare

(Abu Dhabi – 29 January 2019) - Gulf Capital, one of the largest and most active alternative asset managers in the Middle East, announced today that it has successfully exited its investment in Amana Healthcare, the UAE’s largest and fastest-growing provider of specialised continuum-of-care services including long-term care, medical rehabilitation and specialised home healthcare.

Gulf Credit Partners fully realised an early exit from its investment in Amana Healthcare when a controlling stake in the business was sold to a strategic healthcare buyer.

Following the initial investment in 2014, which was used for growth capital, Gulf Credit Partners assisted Amana Healthcare in implementing strong corporate governance, securing additional financing from other lenders for further expansion, introducing best practices and strengthening its financial reporting. Through this partnership, Amana was also able to improve its social and environmental monitoring and reporting according to the guidelines and Performance Standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), to comply with Gulf Credit Partners’ Environmental and Social Management System framework. Amana also became the first specialised rehabilitation hospital in the UAE to be accredited by the U.S. Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ("CARF") and is today the only healthcare provider in the UAE to have CARF accreditation across all its facilities and service lines.

"جلف كابيتال" تتخارج بنجاح من استثمارها في "أمانة للرعاية الصحية"

(أبوظبي – 29 يناير 2019) – أعلنت "جلف كابيتال"، إحدى أكبر وأنشط الشركات العاملة في مجال إدارة الأصول البديلة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، اليوم أنها تخارجت بنجاح من استثمارها في "أمانة للرعاية الصحية"، الموفّر الأكبر والأسرع نمواً في دولة الإمارات لخدمات العناية الطبية المكثفة والطويلة الأجل وما بعد الحالات الحادة وخدمات إعادة التأهيل الطبية والرعاية الصحية المتخصصة في المنزل. 

وقد نجحت "جلف كريديت بارتنرز"، وهو ذراع التمويل الخاص في شركة "جلف كابيتال"، في إجراء تخارج كامل من استثمارها في "أمانة للرعاية الصحية" بشكل مُبكّر عندما قامت الأخيرة ببيع حصة مسيطرة إلى مشترٍ استراتيجي في مجال الرعاية الصحية.

عقب الاستثمار الأولي في عام 2014 والذي استخدم كرأس مال للنمو، ساعدت "جلف كريديت بارتنرز" "أمانة للرعاية الصحية" في تطبيق حوكمة مؤسسية قوية وفي تأمين المزيد من التمويل من مؤسسات مالية أخرى لإجراء المزيد من التوسّعات وإدخال أفضل الممارسات على أعمال الشركة إضافة إلى تحسين عمليات التبليغ المالي. وقد استطاعت "أمانة" من خلال هذه الشراكة أن تُحسّن نشاطاتها في مجال مراقبة المسؤولية الاجتماعية والبيئية ونشاطات التبليغ بما يتكيّف مع إرشادات ومعايير الأداء التابعة لمؤسّسة التمويل العالمية IFC بحيث تتوافق مع نظام إدارة المسؤولية الاجتماعية والبيئية المعتمد لدى "جلف كريديت بارتنرز". وقد أصبحت "أمانة" أيضاً أول مستشفى لخدمات إعادة التأهيل المتخصصة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة التي تُعتمد من قِبل اللجنة الأميركية لاعتماد منشآت إعادة التأهيل ("CARF") وهي اليوم موفّر الرعاية الصحية الأوحد في دولة الإمارات المعتمد لدى CARF في كل منشآتها وخدماتها.
