وتعليقاً على تلك الاتفاقية، يقول الدكتور/أحمد شلبي-الرئيس التنفيذي والعضو المنتدب لشركة تطوير مصر: "يمثل الابتكار واحداً من أهم قيمنا المؤسسية في كل ما نقوم به من أنشطة، كما تُعد الإستدامة البيئية أحد أهم الركائز التي تروج لها تطوير مصر وتنفذها في كافة مشروعاتها. إنّ الجيل القادم من المنازل سيعتمد علي الحلول الذكية بصورة أكبر، وهو ما يعني أننا في حاجة لتشغيل وإدارة هذه المنازل بشكل أكثر ذكاءً وكفاءة، حتى نتمكن من تلبية الاحتياجات العصرية لقاطنى مشروعاتنا. فمع حلول عام 2020، ستكون اكثر من 30% من الأجهزة داخل المنازل والمباني مرتبطة بالانترنت، وهو ما يمثل فرصة هامة وحقيقية للوصول لأعلي مستويات التشغيل. وبالطبع لم نكن لنجد شريك افضل من شنايدر إلكتريك لتحقيق ذلك."

ويمكن تحقيق ذلك من خلال تحسين العمليات التشغيلية لإدارة المشروعات، ومتابعة استهلاك الطاقة و فواتير الاستهلاك والمحافظة المستمرة على مستويات استهلاك الطاقة ومتابعة أداء المباني، والتشخيص المبكر للمشاكل وتحويل البيانات أوتوماتيكياً إلى إحصاءات وخطط قابلة للتنفيذ، والتنبؤ بالمشكلات في العديد من المواقع، بما يمكن من حل 80% من مشكلات إدارة المشروعات عن بُعد ويقلل معدلات شكاوى القاطنين بنسبة تصل إلى 33% وكذلك تقليل الصيانة غير المخطط لها بنسبة تصل إلى 29% وخفض تكاليف الطاقة بنسبة تصل إلى 30%. وطبقاً لأحدث التقديرات، فإنّ 42% من استهلاك الطاقة على مستوى العالم يتم في المباني. وطبقاً لتقديرات أخرى، فإنّ معظم هذه النسبة الهائلة (من 54 إلى 71%) يتم استهلاكه في التدفئة والتبريد وأنظمة الإضاءة.

Gemalto to Produce Secure and Innovative Healthcare Cards for Quebec
