Air Arabia expands its European route network with the launch of new services to Batumi

Airline touches down in Batumi – which is rising fast as a tourism hotspot

Cairo, Egypt, 11th July 2016

Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier, touched down in Batumi, the second largest city of Georgia.

The airline operates two weekly flights to the famed Black Sea port city from its primary Sharjah International Airport hub on Thursday and Saturdays at 13:15, arriving at Batumi at 16:40. The return flights are scheduled to leave Batumi International Airport at 17:30 to arrive in Sharjah at 20:50.

A fascinating seaside resort city steeped in history and blessed with abundant natural beauty, Batumi has built a reputation as a safe, affordable destination, helping it find a niche among travelers looking beyond traditional tourist spots. رحلتان أسبوعياً انطلاقاً من مطار الشارقة الدولي

"العربية للطيران" توسع شبكتها في أوروبا وتطلق رحلاتها الجديدة إلى باتومي

بدأت "العربية للطيران"، أول وأكبر شركة طيران اقتصادي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، رحلاتها إلى مدينة باتومي، ثاني أكبر مدينة في جورجيا. وتسيّر "العربية للطيران" رحلاتها إلى المدينة مرتين في الأسبوع يومي الخميس والسبت انطلاقاً من مقرها الرئيسي في مطار الشارقة الدولي، حيث تقلع رحلات الذهاب عند الساعة 13:15 بتوقيت الشارقة، لتصل إلى مطار باتومي الدولي عند الساعة 16:40 بالتوقيت المحلي. أما رحلات العودة، فتنطلق من باتومي عند الساعة 17:30 لتصل إلى مطار الشارقة الدولي في الساعة 20:50.

Ghaly appointed CEO of Siemens Egypt

• Emad Ghaly to lead Siemens’ business into strategic growth areas in Egypt
• Maximilian Egger to retire after a 40-year career at Siemens
• Supporting Egypt’s sustainable development remains a key priority

Siemens has appointed Emad Ghaly as Chief Executive Officer of Siemens S.A.E. in Egypt, effective July 1, 2016. Based in Cairo, Ghaly takes over from Maximilian Egger who will retire, end of September, after a distinguished 40-year career at Siemens.

Ghaly, an Egyptian national, is a 21-year veteran of the company, and was most recently the Senior Executive Vice President for Wind Power and Renewables in the Middle East, and for Power and Gas for Siemens in Egypt. His career at Siemens started in 1995, and since then has held several senior managerial positions across a wide range of businesses, including telecommunications, information technology, strategic planning, and corporate development and government affairs.

Ghaly brings a broad international experience. Prior to his role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Government Affairs in Egypt, he served as the Director of Regional Sales for Northern and Western Europe where he has contributed to development of Siemens’ business in Germany, the UK, Ireland and The Netherlands

تعيين عماد غالي في منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة سيمنس مصر

أعلنت شركة سيمنس عن تعيين المهندس عماد غالي في منصب الرئيس التنفيذي الجديد للشركة في مصر، بدءاً من الأول من يوليو 2016. هذا ويأتي تعيين غالي خلفاً للسيد ماكسيميليان إيجر الذي سيتقاعد، نهاية شهر سبتمبر المقبل، بعد سيرة مهنية حافلة امتدت لأكثر من 40 عاماً داخل سيمنس.  

هذا ويتمتع غالي، مصري الجنسية، بخبرة كبيرة امتدت لأكثر من 21 عاماً من العمل في سيمنس. فقبل أن يتقلد منصبه الحالي مباشرة، شغل منصب نائب الرئيس التنفيذي الأول لطاقة الرياح والطاقة المتجددة في سيمنس لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط، ونائب الرئيس التنفيذي الأول للطاقة والغاز لسيمنس في مصر. وكان غالي قد بدأ مسيرته المهنية في سيمنس خلال العام 1995، وتدرج بعد ذلك في عدد من المناصب الإدارية في قطاعات أعمال مختلفة داخل الشركة، بما في ذلك قطاعات: تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، والتخطيط الاستراتيجي والتطوير المؤسسي والشئون الحكومية.

كما يتمتع غالي بخبرة دولية واسعة، فقبل أن يتقلد منصب نائب الرئيس التنفيذي الأول لقطاع الاستراتيجيات المؤسسية والشئون الحكومية لشركة سيمنس مصر، تم اختياره ليتولى منصب مدير عام المبيعات الإقليمية لمنطقة شمال وغرب أوروبا، حيث ساهم خلال فترة توليه هذا المنصب في تنمية أعمال الشركة في العديد من الدول الأوروبية ومن بينها: ألمانيا والمملكة المتحدة وإيرلندا وهولندا.   

وتعليقاً على  تعيين غالي في منصبه الجديد، صرح السيد ديتمار سيرسدورفر، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة سيمنس في الشرق الأوسط: "إننا نرى السوق المصري كأحد أكثر الأسواق حركة وتطوراً، ولهذا يُسعدني أن أرحب بالسيد عماد غالي في هذا المنصب الهام. إنّ الخبرة المحلية والعالمية التي يتميز بها غالي في العديد من قطاعات وأسواق العمل، وخاصة في السوق المصري، تُعَّد أحد المقومات الهامة التي نحتاج إليها ولاسيما ونحن نعمل على الإسراع بعمليات التوسع وتنمية أعمال الشركة في مصر، وذلك في إطار الرؤية الاستراتيجية لشركة سيمنس Vision 2020، وفي إطار التزامنا بدعم متطلبات التنمية الاقتصادية لمصر". وأضاف: "في الوقت نفسه، فقد تمكّن السيد ماكسيميليان أيضاً من تقديم مساهمات بارزة لشركتنا طوال الأربعة عقود الماضية التي قضاها في سيمنس، وبهذه المناسبة، اتوجه إليه بجزيل الشكر لالتزامه وتفانيه في العمل طوال هذه الأعوام".

يُشار هنا أن غالي كان قد حصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة من جامعة عين شمس، كما حصل على ماجستير إدارة الأعمال من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة عام 2002. وفي العام 2011، تم اختياره عضواً في المجلس الاستشاري للطاقة المتجددة وكفاءة الطاقة لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (REmena)، كما كان عضواً في مجلس إدارة الجمعية المصرية لشباب الأعمال في الفترة من 2011 حتى 2015.

More than 100 languages are now available on Google Translate, dozens of which are now available offline. Simply download the language you’re going to be using in the next few days and use it to communicate, bargain, and make new friends.

4. Google Calendar

Between coordinating holidays, flights, and preferences, planning a break with more than one person can get draining, even if you’re not leaving the country. On Google Calendar, you can keep track of all these factors in a crisp and clear outline. Calendar can even remind your fellow holidaymakers to submit their visa documents or of their upcoming flights.

5. Google Photos

Everyone in the pictures you took on your trip will want to see these memories. Google Photos provides an easy and organized platform to store and share your photos. Simply create an album of the pictures you wish to share and send your friends and family a link with which they can access the photos.

1. تطبيق Google

مساعدكم الشخصي على بعد لمسة. بمجرد لمسة واحدة على هاتف مزود بنظام Android او iOS، يمكنم الوصول بسرعة إلى تطبيق Google، حيث ستجدوا شريط بحث بانتظار استفساراتكم إلى جانب مجموعة من بطاقات Google مع معلومات مخصصة تعتمد على حسابك الخاص.

2. خرائط Google وخدمة التجول الإفتراضي

دع Google Maps يساعدكم في كل شيء خلال رحلتكم،  بدءاً من التخطيط ووصولاً إلى التنقل. فقبل الحجز في أحد الفنادق، يمكنكم إلقاء نظرة على التي قد تقيموا فيها باستخدام ميزة Street View تطبيق الخرائط. وحالما تحط طائرتكم في المطار،يمكنكم استخدام الميزة المخصصة لإرشادكم إلى أفضل الطرق في المدينة دون الحاجة للإتصال بشبكة الإنترنت.

3. ترجمة Google

أكثر من 100 لغة باتت متاحة الآن عبر تطبيق ترجمة Google ويتوفرالعشرات منها دون الحاجة للاتصال بشبكة الإنترنت؛ إذ يمكنكم ببساطة تحميل اللغةالتي ستستخمونها خلال الأيام القليلة المقبلة، وتوظيفها للتواصل مع الآخرين والتعرف على أصدقاء جدد.

4. تقويم Google

CAIRO REVIEW SPECIAL REPORT: “TROUBLE IN EUROPE”

July 3, 2016, Cairo – The latest edition of the Cairo Review of Global Affairs is featuring a Special Report: “Trouble in Europe”, which surveys the continent’s deepening social, security, and political crises. In the lead essay, “Crisis of Identity,” French sociologist Michel Wieviorka examines the Brexit campaign and anti-European Union sentiment, warning of the danger of nations retreating behind their borders. “Europe has not forgotten its wars of religion, or the major military and nationalist clashes of past centuries,” writes Wieviorka, “The resurgence of identity issues expresses the continent’s impotence in the face of its social and economic ills.”

Peter D. Sutherland delivers a passionate argument for multiculturalism in Europe in his essay in the Spring 2016 edition, titled, “Our Great Migration Challenge.” Sutherland, the UN secretary-general’s special representative for international migration, writes, “We must now demonstrate not merely our humanity but our belief in the equality and dignity of man and seek in our own society to integrate with the strangers in our midst.”

Intertek Appointed Quality Partner for Egyptian Fish Farms by WorldFish Organization

Cairo - Intertek, a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has announced it was appointed as quality partner by the WorldFish Organisation in Malaysia for the upgrade of production of circa 100 fish farms in Egypt.

The project aims to upgrade production of fish farms, mainly from the two regions of Kafr El Sheikh and Fayoum, which generate around 10,000 tonnes per annum. Small-scale retailers will also benefit from the complete development of the Egyptian aquaculture’s Best Management Practice (BMP) standards and improvement in quality, allowing them to bring products to new markets further away from the main production areas and existing transport routes.

Intertek is an internationally recognized certification body for food safety programmes, and as such, offers certification specifically related to farming methodology, including organic certification, and has become an integral part of global initiatives to certify, train and support the whole value chain and assure its sustainability.

Sherif Fakhry, Global Product Manager, Intertek said: “We are very pleased to be working with Worldfish Organisation on this project. Our partnership will include the complete development of the Egyptian aquaculture Business Management Process (BMP) standards for the entire supply chain. Our team of expert auditors will establish and implement the BMP certification system that focuses on improving performance by managing and optimising the operations. The team will also provide training and support for value chain operators including feed producers, hatcheries, farmers, wholesalers and retailers to become more quality focused and efficient in order to maintain profitability, and meet the growing demand in domestic and international markets.”

Intertek will work with WorldFish Organisation to improve performance, gain efficiencies in manufacturing and logistics, overcome market constraints and reduce risks.
