Cairo, Egypt, October 18th, 2021 – Yesterday, Elsewedy Technical Academy signed a cooperation agreement with Suez Steel to sponsor 200 students to be enrolled in the field of iron and steel in the current academic year, within the framework of their continuous cooperation over the past years.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Elsewedy Electric Foundation and Mr. Rafic Daou, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Suez Steel Company in the presence of Mrs. Hanan El Rihany, Chief Executive Officer of Elsewedy Technical Academy and General Secretary of Elsewedy Electric Foundation, and several managers and officials from both sides.
Suez Steel has been the strategic partner of Elsewedy Technical Academy for four years. The partnership started in 2017 through the "Training for Employment" program, where 200 youth were trained in mechanics and electricity by Elsewedy Technical Academy and employed in Suez Steel.
In 2018, Elsewedy Technical Academy launched a new specialization in the field of Iron and Steel following dual system of vocational education and training (VET) in partnership with Suez Steel. The company sponsored and provided apprenticeship for 90 students, 46 students graduated in the academic year 2020/2021 and are now being prepared to be employed at Suez Steel.
The partnership between the academy and the company is continuing through the "Training for Employment" program in cooperation with the Sawiris Foundation for Development to train 60 young people by the Elsewedy Technical Academy and the Egyptian-German Academy for Technical Training. The trainees will be provided employment opportunities at Suez Steel to in the fields of mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, CNC, and Plumbing.
Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Elsewedy Electric Foundation, said: "We are pleased to sign the cooperation agreement with Suez Steel, which comes as a complement to the continuous and fruitful strategic cooperation over the past years. Since the launch of the Academy, we have been striving to achieve the highest level of quality in technical education based on innovation and using the latest technology, to develop technical education in Egypt and serve society and the economy in general. We have trained and prepared 1,200 male and female students in more than 13 fields and specializations in line with the needs of the labor market, rendering our approach aligned with 8 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals."
For his part, Mr. Rafic Daou, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Suez Steel Company added that the industry has always been the locomotive of development in all societies and one of the main ways in developing the economic infrastructure in all countries. "This is why Suez Steel believes in the strategic partnership with Elsewedy Technical Academy to develop the human resources necessary for the iron and steel industry starting at specialized vocational and technical education curricula offered by the Academy."

أكاديمية السويدي الفنية وشركة السويس للصلب
القاهرة، 18 أكتوبر، 2021 – وقعت أمس أكاديمية السويدي الفنية إتفاقية تعاون مشترك مع شركة السويس للصلب بهدف العمل على رعاية 200 طالب للعمل في مجال الحديد والصلب للعام الأكاديمي الحالي، وذلك في إطار التعاون المستمر بينهما في العديد من المجالات وعلى مدار السنوات الماضية.
وقد وقع الاتفاقية كلاً من المهندس/ أحمد السويدي - رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة السويدي إليكتريك والاستاذ/ رفيق ضو - العضو المنتدب ونائب رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة السويس للصلب، وذلك بحضور الاستاذة/ حنان الريحاني - الأمين العام والرئيس التنفيذي لأكاديمية السويدي الفنية وعدد من مديري ومسؤولي الإدارات بالجهتين.
تعد شركة السويس للصلب هي الشريك الاستراتيجي لأكاديمية السويدي الفنية منذ4 سنوات، وقد بدأت الشراكة عام 2017 من خلال برنامج "التدريب من أجل التشغيل"، حيث تم تدريب عدد 200 من الشباب في تخصصي الميكانيكا والكهرباء من قِبل أكاديمية السويدي الفنية وتوظيفهم بشركة السويس للصلب، ومع عام 2018، تم العمل على إطلاق تخصص جديد في التعليم الفني المزدوج وإعداد المناهج الخاصة به بالشراكة مع شركة السويس للصلب وهو تخصص" الحديد والصلب" وقامت الشركة برعاية 90 طالب وتم تخريج 46 طالب بالعام الأكاديمي 2020/2021، وجارى اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لتوظيف نسبة 100% من الخريجين بشركة السويس للصلب.
هذا وتعد الشراكة مستمرة بين الأكاديمية والشركة من خلال برنامج "التدريب من أجل التشغيل" بالتعاون مع مؤسسة ساويرس للتنمية لتدريب عدد 60 من الشباب من قِبل أكاديمية السويدي الفنية والاكاديمية المصرية الالمانية للتدريب التقني وتوفير فرص توظيف لهم بشركة السويس للصلب في التخصصات (الصيانة الميكانيكية – الصيانة الكهربائية - CNC - السباكة).
وصرح المهندس / أحمد السويدي رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة السويدي إليكتريك "سعداء بتوقيع اتفاقية التعاون المشترك مع شركة السويس للصلب والتي تأتي مكملة للتعاون الاستراتيجي المستمر والمثمر على مدار السنوات الماضية، وأننا نسعى منذ إطلاق الاكاديمية لتحقيق أعلى مستوى من الأداء في التعليم الفني المبني على الابتكار وباستخدام أحدث وسائل التكنولوجيا ، بهدف النهوض بالتعليم الفني في مصر وخدمة المجتمع والاقتصاد بشكل عام، حيث تمكنا من تدريب وإعداد 1200 طالب وطالبة في أكثر من 13 مجال وتخصص بما يتماشى مع احتياجات سوق العمل، كما نجحت الأكاديمية حاليًا أن تتوافق مع 8 من أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة كجزء من نهجها واستراتيجيتها".
ومن جانبه أكد الاستاذ/ رفيق ضو- نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة السويس للصلب " أن الصناعة دائما ما تكون قاطرة التنمية في جميع المجتمعات وانها من السبل الرئيسية في تطوير البنية التحتية الاقتصادية في جميع الدول، ومن هنا كان إيمان شركة السويس للصلب بالشراكة الاستراتيجية مع أكاديمية السويدي الفنية من خلال البروتوكولات التي يتم العمل بها من أجل تطوير الموارد البشرية اللازمة لصناعة الحديد والصلب منذ مراحل التعليم المهني والفني من خلال المناهج المتخصصة التي تقدمها الأكاديمية" .
