A further step to reinforce its leadership in the automotive sector in Egypt
Cairo, Egypt – 7 August, 2021: Mercedes-Benz Egypt announced the appointment of Gerd Bitterlich as its new President& CEO, succeeding Thomas Zorn after his prestigious journey of 5 successful years. In this context, National Automotive Company (NATCO) congratulated Bitterlich on his new position, expressing the shareholders’ contentment to continue the fruitful partnership with Mercedes-Benz Egypt under Bitterlich’s leadership.
On his part, Yasser Saleh, CEO of Star National Automotive, Alexandria National Automotive and NATCO Group, expressed his elation with Bitterlich’s appointment by stating: “We would like to extend our sincere congratulations by welcoming Mr. Gerd Bitterlich as the new President& CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt. When it comes to the new President& CEO’s praiseworthy career path, Bitterlich certainly was and is still able to attain a comprehensive record of success in achieving ongoing accomplishments. He embarked on his journey, back in 1991, by occupying a myriad of positions pertinent to Sales Controlling, Sales Strategy, and Dealer Development. In 2007, Bitterlich moved to Luxembourg as CFO of Mercedes-Benz’s Retail Operations. It is noteworthy that before joining Mercedes-Benz Egypt, Bitterlich acquired the position of Mercedes-Benz Korea’s CFO, specifically in Seoul.
In fact, NATCO’s partnership with Mercedes-Benz Egypt dates back to 1988, when it became Egypt’s first Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer. During those years, NATCO was able to attain unwavering accomplishments and endless success stories, through which it succeeded in establishing the largest network in the Egyptian automotive sector with 8 existing 3S facilities, 8 sales outlets and over 148 work bays. Later in 2001, NATCO witnessed its remarkable milestone, launching its 4 subsidiaries – Cairo National Automotive, Giza National Automotive, Hurghada National Automotive and Alexandria National Automotive – to be the exclusive dealerships for Mercedes-Benz.
By the beginning of 2021, NATCO further reinforced its leadership in the automotive sector after announcing the consolidation of Giza National Automotive (GNA), Cairo National Automotive (CNA) and Hurghada National Automotive (HNA) under the new brand identity ‘Star National Automotive’ (SNA). Through the consolidation, NATCO stands out among its competitors with the largest network across Egypt, providing a seamless experience to a wide range of customers.

مرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت تعلن جيرد بيترليش رئيسًا لمجلس الإدارة والمدير التنفيذي للشركة
القاهرة، 7 أغسطس 2021: أعلنت مرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت تعيين جيرد بيترليش كرئيس مجلس الإدارة والمدير التنفيذي للشركة، خلفًا لتوماس زورن بعد مسيرة ناجحة دامت لخمسة سنوات. وفي نفس السياق، قامت الشركة الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو) بتهنئة بيترليش على منصبه الجديد، معلنة عن سعادة المساهمين باستمرار التعاون المثمر مع شركة مرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت تحت إدارة بيترليش.
ومن جانبه، أعرب ياسر صالح، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركات ستار الوطنية للسيارات والإسكندرية الوطنية للسيارات ومجموعة شركات الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو)، عن سعادته بتعيين بيترليش، قائلا: "نود أن نهنئ ونرحب بالأستاذ جيرد بيترليش كرئيس مجلس الإدارة والمدير التنفيذي لشركة مرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت، ونحن على ثقة أننا قادرون على تمديد شراكتنا المتميزة في السنوات المقبلة، نفتتح فيها آفاق جديدة للنجاح والريادة في قطاع السيارات في مصر."
بدأ جيرد بيترليش مسيرته في عام 1991، حيث شغل العديد من المناصب الرفيعة ومنها رقابة المبيعات، استراتيجية المبيعات، وتطوير الأعمال، ثم انتقل بيترليش في عام 2007 إلى لوكسمبرج، وتولى منصب المدير المالي لعمليات التجزئة بشركة مرسيدس بنز، وبعد ذلك احتل بيترليش منصب المدير المالي لشركة مرسيدس بنز في كوريا، بمدينة سيول قبل انضمامه لشركة مرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت.
والجدير بالذكر أن الشراكة بين مجموعة شركات الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو) ومرسيدس-بنز إيجيبت بدأت منذ عام 1988، حيث أصبحت الشركة أول موزع معتمد لسيارات مرسيدس-بنز في مصر. ونجحت مجموعة شركات الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو) خلال تلك السنوات في تحقيق عدد كبير من الإنجازات وقصص النجاح، حيث استطاعت من خلالها أن تنشئ أكبر شبكة في قطاع السيارات المصري، تتضمن 8 مرافق للمبيعات والخدمات وقطع الغيار، و8 منافذ بيع وأكثر من 148 باكية عمل. وقامت الشركة باطلاق 4 شركات فرعية في عام 2001، وهم: القاهرة الوطنية للسيارات، والجيزة الوطنية للسيارات، والغردقة الوطنية للسيارات والإسكندرية الوطنية للسيارات، وهم الموزعون الحصريون لمرسيدس-بنز في مصر.
وفي بداية عام 2021، قامت مجموعة شركات الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو) بترسيخ ريادتها في سوق السيارات بعدما أعلنت عن دمج الأربع شركات تحت اسم ستار الوطنية للسيارات، لتحتل مجموعة شركات الوطنية للسيارات (ناتكو) صدارة السوق بأكبر شبكة في مصر، مقدمة تجربة سلسة وفريدة لجميع عملائها.
