July 26, 2021 (Dubai, UAE) - Intertek Group plc ("Intertek"), a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, announced that it has partnered with Meydan Hotels & Hospitality (“the group”) to implement the hotel company’s audit protocol for the Prevention of the Spread of Infection, POSI-Check. Meydan’s POSI-Check programme will help the group identify health and safety-related risks and effectively plan, prioritise, and manage its protocols against the spread of infection across its hospitality operations.
POSI-Check is part of Intertek’s innovative Protek assurance
programme, which protects people, public spaces, and workplaces. Protek is the world’s
first comprehensive, end-to-end health, safety and well-being programme for
people, workplaces and public spaces that is designed to provide industries with
the right levers to resume business with confidence. POSI-Check is designed to
complement other Intertek Cristal Standards modules which help our clients
identify, prioritise and effectively manage risk over multiple disciplines
whilst allowing them to focus on delivering the promises associated with their
brand. Intertek’s Cristal solutions are suitable for all hospitality industries
including food establishments such as bakeries, restaurants, hotels, catering,
fast food chains, coffee shops, and retail and luxury stores.
A
POSI-Check programme will be implemented across the entire Meydan Hotels &
Hospitality network, including the flagship Meydan Hotel itself and The Track, Meydan
Golf and Bab Al Sham Desert Resorts. This exemplifies the group’s focus on
delivering an exceptional experience for guests and
providing employees with the assurance and confidence that their health and
safety are of the utmost importance. Intertek’s team will be working
with Meydan Hotels & Hospitality to implement the POSI-Check protocols
across all its facilities. As part of the programme,
Intertek will conduct various hands-on training sessions, bi-monthly
auditing and swab tests to detect Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) on key surfaces
in public areas around the Group’s amenities.
Intertek has already partnered with
Meydan Hotels & Hospitality
as the latter received its ISO 9001 certification, the
world’s most renowned standard for quality management, and ISO 22001, the food
safety management systems certification. Adding POSI-check to the list of
earned certifications outlines Meydan Hotels & Hospitality’s commitment
to building a strong framework for quality assurance that offers consistent
quality in the services provided, the food offered, and the health and safety measures
applied.
