Program to offer new training courses in 2019 to cater for the growing professional development needs of Dubai’s energy sector
Dubai, 11 February 2019- In response to the growing learning and development needs of various stakeholders in Dubai’s energy sector, TAQATI - established by Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) under Etihad ES - announced the Dubai Energy Efficiency Training Program’s training calendar for the year 2019. The calendar for this year combines an array of locally and internationally certified training programs and modules, and features programs that were successfully delivered in 2018, as well as new certifications and courses namely Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM), Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) in addition to an advanced measurement and verification (M&V); course and a beginner level introduction to energy efficiency course.
An initiative by the Dubai Government, mandated by DSCE and led by TAQATI in partnership with British University in Dubai (BUiD), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the International Institute for Energy Training (IIET), the training program aims to build the right capabilities to achieve Dubai’s ambitious target of 30 per cent reduction in energy consumption by 2030. This will be accomplished through raising awareness and driving adoption of new technologies that promote energy efficiency; fostering a community of innovators and thought leaders to lead Dubai’s energy efficiency initiatives; and by ensuring the availability of continuous opportunities for professional development in the sector.
The courses conducted as part of the Dubai Energy Efficiency Training Program in 2018 included Certified Energy Manager (CEM); Certified Energy Auditor (CEA); Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP); as well as the LEED training suite and WELL AP. In addition, the Performance Contracting and Funding Certification (PCF) was organized for the first time in the UAE in September 2018, as part of the Program.
“The Dubai Energy Efficiency Training Program was launched in April this 2018 to effectively address the need for globally recognized energy efficiency trainings in the emirate’s energy sector. Since its launch, the program has made great strides towards the achievement of its objectives, taking us closer to our energy efficiency and sustainable development goals in line with Dubai’s and UAE’s aspirations. The introduction of new modules and ‘on demand’ courses will add new dimension to the initiative in 2019, equipping stakeholders in Dubai’s energy sector with yet another set of skills and capabilities, accelerating the emirate’s journey to the forefront of global energy efficiency landscape,” said Al Jassim.

البرنامج يطرح دورات تدريبية جديدة لتلبية احتياجات التطوير المهني المتنامية لقطاع الطاقة في دبي

أعلن برنامج دبي لكفاءة الطاقة "طاقتي"، الذي تأسس من قبل المجلس الأعلى للطاقة في دبي من خلال شركة "الاتحاد لخدمات الطاقة"، عن الجدول التدريبي لـ "برنامج دبي للتدريب على كفاءة الطاقة" للعام 2019، وذلك استجابة للاحتياجات المتنامية للتعليم والتدريب حول كفاءة الطاقة من جانب أصحاب المصلحة ضمن قطاع الطاقة في دبي. ويشتمل جدول العام الجاري على مجموعة من برامج ووحدات التدريب المعتمدة محلياً ودولياً، بالإضافة إلى برامج تم تقديمها بنجاح في العام الماضي، فضلاً عن شهادات ودورات جديدة هي؛ مدير معتمد للحد من الكربون (CRM)، اختصاصي كفاءة مياه معتمد (CWEP)، واختصاصي تعاقدات بناء معتمد (CBCP)، بالإضافة إلى شهادة القياس والتحقق المتقدمة، ودورة تدريبية ومدخل للمبتدئين حول كفاءة الطاقة.
ويهدف برنامج دبي للتدريب على كفاءة الطاقة، وهو مبادرة لحكومة دبي بتكليف من المجلس الأعلى للطاقة في دبي وتحت إدارة برنامج دبي لكفاءة الطاقة "طاقتي"، وبالشراكة مع الجامعة البريطانية في دبي، وجمعية مهندسي الطاقة (AEE)والمعهد الدولي للتدريب على الطاقة (IIET)، إلى بناء القدرات المناسبة للمساهمة في تحقيق هدف دبي الطموح المتمثل في تخفيض معدلات استهلاك الطاقة بنسبة 30% بحلول العام 2030، والذي سيتم تحقيقه من خلال تعزيز الوعي وتبني التقنيات الجديدة التي تعزز كفاءة الطاقة، بالإضافة إلى رعاية ودعم المبتكرين وقادة الفكر القادرين لقيادة برامج كفاءة الطاقة في دبي؛ وضمان توفير فرص مستمرة للتطوير المهني ضمن قطاع الطاقة.
وتضمنت الدورات التي عقدها برنامج دبي للتدريب على كفاءة الطاقة في العام الماضي، مدير طاقة معتمد (CEM)، ومدقق طاقة معتمد (CEA)، واختصاصي معتمد للقياس والتحقق (CMVP)، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من البرامج التدريبية الخاصة بالريادة في تصميمات الطاقة والبيئة (LEED)، واختصاصي معتمد من معهد "ويل" (WELL AP). كما تم تنظيم دورة اختصاصي تعاقدات أداء الطاقة والتمويل (PCF) لأول مرة في دولة الإمارات في شهر سبتمبر من العام الماضي، وذلك كجزء من هذا البرنامج التدريبي.
وقال علي الجاسم، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "الاتحاد إسكو": "تم إطلاق برنامج دبي للتدريب على كفاءة الطاقة في شهر أبريل من العام الماضي بهدف تلبية الطلب على الدورات التدريبية المعترف بها عالمياً حول كفاءة الطاقة ضمن قطاع الطاقة في دبي. وخطى البرنامج منذ إطلاقه خطوات كبيرة نحو تحقيق أهدافه، ما يجعلنا أقرب إلى تحقيق أهدافنا في مجال كفاءة الطاقة والاستدامة تماشياً مع تطلعات دبي ودولة الإمارات. وسيضيف طرح الدورات الجديدة بعداً جديداً لهذا البرنامج خلال العام الجاري، ما يزود أصحاب المصلحة في قطاع الطاقة في دبي بمجموعة أخرى من المهارات والقدرات، ويسرع من جهود الإمارة ومساعيها لأن تصبح وجهة عالمية رائدة في مجال كفاءة الطاقة."
