A lecture, titled “Egypt’s Medium-Term Economic Outlook: Challenges and Opportunities,” hosted by School of Business at The American University in Cairo (AUC).
Speaker is Tarek Amer ’80, governor of the Central Bank of Egypt. Amer previously served as chief executive officer and managing director of the National Bank of Egypt (UK) Ltd. He also served as first deputy governor of the Central Bank of Egypt from 2003 to 2008. Prior to this position, Amer was deputy chairman of the Arab International Bank and deputy chairman of the Egyptian Banking Institute. His career in banking spans over 27 years and includes executive positions with Citibank and Bank of America for Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf.
