AUC TO HOST LECTURE ON THE REPERCUSSIONS OF US FOREIGN POLICY TURBULENCE ON THE ARAB REGION






WHAT

A lecture, “US Foreign Policy Turbulence: The repercussions on the Arab Region’” as part of the Tahrir Dialogue series, organized by The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) and Prince Alwaleed Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at The American University in Cairo (AUC).

* The lecture will be conducted in Arabic and simultaneous translation into English will be provided.




WHO

Speaker is Paul Salem, acting president of the Middle East Institute (MEI). Prior to joining MEI, Salem was the founding director of the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, Lebanon between 2006 and 2013.

Moderator is Karim Haggag, director of the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR). Haggag is a career diplomat with over 25 years of service in Egypt’s diplomatic corps. His assignments included serving as director of the Egyptian Press and Information office in Washington DC from 2002-2007.
