The annual event aims at empowering the youth with the skills required for today’s job market

Grand Nile Tower recently announced collaborating with Sohbet Kheir Association, through sponsoring the closing ceremony of its annual initiative “Training for Human Development”, which took place during the last week of September 2018. Grand Nile Tower has also extended the collaboration to include offering trainings for the association’s young members at the housekeeping and kitchen departments of the hotel.
Launched in 2011, “Training for Human Development” is an annual initiative organized by Sohbet Kheir Association for its student members; offering them technical trainings in various fields during their summer holiday. These trainings aim at equipping the students with the basic skills required to enroll in relevant schools/universities, which eventually enables them to actively compete in today’s dynamic job market.

Doing this, we constantly seek to collaborate with respectable associations, such as Sohbet Kheir, to make sure our efforts reach those who most need it,” said Javier Sanchez, Grand Nile Tower General Manager. “Throughout the years, we have been an active member in the community in which we operate, which is part and parcel of being an excellent hospitality services provider. We believe that community work goes hand in hand with offering exceptional services, and a unique guest experience.”
This is not Grand Nile Tower’s first initiative of this kind. The hotel partnered with Masr El Kheir Association back in 2015 to provide trainings for eligible candidates; also empowering them to pursue a successful career in the hospitality sector.
Sohbet Kheir Association was founded in 2006, with the aim of offering educational, medical, cultural and social support to orphans and other eligible children in need. Over the years, the Association launched various initiatives in line with its vision, including the periodical “Thousand Children Meeting”; which is an open day for children to participate in interactive activities, “Teach Me”; which is a series of teaching groups to children, and “Prevention for a Better Future”; which is a series of projects to raise health awareness and offer medical services to those in need, among other initiatives.

أعلن فندق جراند نايل تاور مؤخراً عن التعاون مع جمعية صُحبة خير من خلال رعاية حفل ختام مبادرتها السنوية "التدريب من أجل التنمية"، والذي اقيم في الأسبوع الأخير من سبتمبر 2018. كما قام الفندق بتوسيع نطاق التعاون ليشمل تنظيم دورات تدريبية في الفندق لأعضاء الجمعية من الشباب في مجالي خدمة الغرف والمطبخ.
تم إطلاق مبادرة "التدريب من أجل التنمية" عام 2011، وهي مبادرة سنوية تنظمها جمعية صحبة خير، وتسعى من خلالها لتنظيم دورات تدريبية فنية لأعضاء الجمعية في مختلف المجالات خلال العطلة الصيفية. كما تهدف هذه الدورات التدريبية لتزويد الطلاب بالمهارات الأساسية المطلوبة للتسجيل في المدارس والجامعات ذات الصلة بتلك المجالات، مما يتيح لهم في نهاية المطاف التنافس في سوق العمل ومواكبة تغييراته المستمرة.

تجدر الإشارة أنّ هذه المبادرة ليست الأولى من نوعها التي يشارك فيها فندق جراند نايل تاور؛ فقد تعاون الفندق من قبل مع جمعية مصر الخير في المبادرة التي أطلقتها عام 2005 لتقديم دوارات تدريبية للشباب الباحث عن عمل، وتمكينهم من تحقيق النجاح في مسيرتهم المهنية بقطاع الضيافة.
تأسست جمعية صحبة خير في عام 2006، بهدف تقديم الدعم التعليمي والطبي والثقافي والاجتماعي للأيتام والأطفال الأكثر احتياجاً. فعلى مدار السنوات الماضية، أطلقت الجمعية العديد من المبادرات المختلفة التي تتماشى مع رؤيتها واستراتيجيتها بما في ذلك مبادرة "لقاء الألف طفل"؛ وهو يوم مفتوح للأطفال يقومون خلاله بالمشاركة في العديد من الأنشطة التفاعلية، ومبادرة "علمني" ؛ وهي سلسلة من المجموعات الدراسية للأطفال، و مبادرة "الوقاية من أجل مستقبل أفضل"؛ وهي سلسلة من المشروعات التي تهدف لرفع مستوى الوعي الصحي وتقديم الخدمات الطبية للفئات الأكثر احتياجاً، بالإضافة للعديد من المبادرات أخرى.
