ETIHAD AIRWAYS DEPLOYS ADDITIONAL FLIGHTS FOR THE HAJJ SEASON



• Increase of 17 per cent in the number of pilgrims booked with Etihad, compared to 2017




Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is operating additional flights between Abu Dhabi and its destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to facilitate the movement of thousands of pilgrims for Hajj.




Until 28 August Etihad will operate special charters to carry pilgrims on its additional flights to Jeddah and Medina Airport. All flights will operate alongside regular scheduled services.




The top inbound destinations for the Hajj Etihad flights are the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Korea, and Nigeria.




Hareb Mubarak Al Muhairi, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President, said: “The Hajj pilgrimage is a very important experience for Muslims around the world and Etihad is proud to help its customers make this significant journey.




“This year we see a 17 per cent increase in the number of pilgrims travelling with Etihad compared the same period last year.




“To meet this increasing demand, Etihad Airways are adding 16 flights alongside our scheduled services to Jeddah and Medina.




“We are committed to providing a memorable Hajj travel experience for our customers and to helping them complete their journey with ease and peace of mind."




A dedicated group of airport staff is available to facilitate a seamless ground experience for Hajj travellers. In addition, dedicated check-in counters have been set up at Abu Dhabi international airport.




Extra provisions will also be made by cabin crew to meet pilgrims’ needs and requirements and to facilitate the performing of ablutions, advising them about the entry into Al Miqat (state of sanctity), and the changing into Ihram robes.




Pilgrims will also be able to tune into the Etihad E-Box inflight entertainment system’s dedicated Holy Quran channel, or to view the direction of the Qibla.




On return flights from both cities, Etihad Airways will permit Hajj pilgrims to carry a five litre container of Zamzam water free of charge, and will provide extra care for its handling.




الاتحاد للطيران تشغل رحلات إضافية لخدمة موسم الحج


رحلات الاتحاد للطيران تشهد زيادة بنسبة 17 في المئة من حيث عدد الحجاج مقارنة بالعام الماضي

أعلنت الاتحاد للطيران عن تسييرها لرحلات إضافية بين أبوظبي ومطاري جدة والمدينة المنورة في المملكة العربية السعودية، وذلك لتيسيّر حركة آلاف الحجاج القادميين من مختلف شبكة الوجهات العالمية للاتحاد للطيران.

وتعتزم الاتحاد للطيران تشغيل طائرات مخصصة لنقل الحجاج على رحلاتها الإضافية حتى 28 أغسطس 2018. وسوف تعمل هذه الرحلات الغير مجدولة إلى جانب الرحلات المنتظمة المعتادة.

وتتصدر كل من المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية واستراليا وباكستان واندونيسيا وكوريا ونيجيريا قائمة الدول من حيث أعداد الحجاج الذين سيسافرون عبر شبكة وجهات الاتحاد للطيران.

ومن جهته، صرح حارب مبارك المهيري، نائب أول للرئيس لشؤون المبيعات في الاتحاد للطيران، قائلاً: " تحظي رحلة الحج بمكانة خاصة في قلوب المسلمين كونه أحد أركان الإسلام الخمسة، ونعتز بدعمنا المستمر لحجاج بيت الله من خلال توفير باقة من الاستعدادات على رأسها تسيير رحلات اضافية إلى مطار جدة والمدينة المنورة تصل إلى 16 رحلة إلى جانب رحلاتنا المجدولة المعتادة."

وأضاف حارب قائلاً: "نشهد هذا العام زيادة بنسبة 17 بالمئة في عدد المسافرين الحجاج مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام الماضي، كما نحرص في الاتحاد للطيران على تقديم أفضل تجربة لضيوفنا من الحجاج ومساعدتهم على أداء مناسكهم بسكينة واطمئنان."

وقد خصصت الاتحاد للطيران فريق من العاملين في مطار أبوظبي الدولي لمساعدة الحجاج، مع توفير منافذ خاصة لإنهاء إجراءات سفرهم، وموظفين لإرشاد الحجاج القادمين من مختلف محطات شبكة وجهاتها العالمية وتسهيل إجراءاتهم.

أما في الأجواء، فسوف يتم تجهيز الطائرات من أجل تسهيل الوضوء والإحرام، وسيتم تنبيه الركاب قبيل الوصول إلى الميقات. كما يمكن للحجاج الاستماع إلى آيات الذكر الحكيم عبر نظام الترفيه والاستفادة من نظام تحديد القبلة الموجود على متن الطائرة.



وعلى رحلة العودة من كلا الوجهتين، فسوف تتيح الاتحاد للطيران للحجاج حمل عبوة سعة 5 ليترات من مياه زمزم مجاناً والتي سيتم التعامل معها بحرص وعناية.
