Nedaa signs MoU with Watani Al Emarat Foundation to promote citizenship, national belonging & community service





Agreement enables exchange of knowledge and expertise as well as supports joint activities using TETRA devices




Dubai, UAE- 14 May 2018: Professional Communication Corporation - Nedaa, the Dubai Government security networks provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Watani Al Emarat Foundation to jointly promote national identity, community service, citizenship, and national belonging as part of their mutual goals. The MoU was signed by H.E. Mansoor Bu Osaiba, CEO, Nedaa, and H.E. Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, Director General of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, in the presence of officials from both parties.




The MoU aims to strengthen the cooperation between both sides and works towards achieving common goals, especially in spreading and supporting the culture of innovation and creative work. Providing a strategic cooperation framework, the agreement focuses on the exchange of knowledge and practical experiences at all levels; simplifying joint working procedures; setting meetings to review best practices; and preparing and launching surveys and public opinion polls to evaluate various practices for humanitarian and development work. Additionally, it seeks to improve and develop mutual processes and procedures for community services; implement expertise and technical capabilities to support continuous development efforts; discuss opportunities which support and fund the activities of both parties regarding institutional development; exchange media support and capitalize on data; promote mutual activities; and hold seminars, meetings, workshops, and awareness programs.




Both parties agreed to arrange at least one joint activity per year, where Nedaa will be sponsoring the event by providing TETRA wireless communication devices and other telecommunications services to ensure proper coverage, security, and reliability.




H.E. Bu Osaiba said: “We will continuously enter into partnerships with several government entities to achieve our ultimate goals of building a cohesive and united society as well as strengthening national belonging and values that characterize the Emirati society. Rest assured that we will effectively implement the terms of the MoU. Particularly, we are committed to supporting all joint events by providing the latest communication technologies, which will be operating using Nedaa's 4G Network and TETRA systems. By doing so, we are providing a safe, reliable, fast, and flexible coverage for communications as well as enhance the process of communication between concerned parties based on the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.”




H.E. Al Falasi, on the other hand, stressed that the MoU will enable both parties to achieve their common goals of maintaining public safety; strengthening national culture; serving the community; spreading the culture of innovation and creativity; and enhancing human capital skills. He added: "We will take advantage of the expertise and knowledge of various foundations in the UAE, especially the specialized ones, to support our goals in strengthening our national identity, the Emirati social values, our citizenship, and national belonging. This MoU will also allow us to benefit from Nedaa’s expertise and capabilities, as well as develop mutual work which supports the services that we provide to the Emirati community. We are primarily capitalize on its vast capabilities in wireless communications to support our joint events and activities, provide reliable communication services, and facilitate communication between organisers. "
