As Wadi Group celebrates the 25th anniversary of strategic cooperation with Aviagen, the global broiler breeders, the leading agribusiness company held its "Wadi Poultry Forum" in Cairo. Wadi Group’s top management, Aviagen executives, and Wadi's key customer for broiler and grandparent breeders in Egypt attended the forum.

Essam El Behery, Chief Commercial Officer at Wadi Group, kicked off the event with a welcome note, followed by Eng. Tony Freiji, who gave opening remarks welcoming Wadi customers and Aviagen experts, while highlighting the key milestones in Wadi-Aviagen journey of cooperation.
Following Behery's presentation, Tom Exley, the President AMEA & Aviagen Anadolu at Aviagen, spoke about the latest developments related to Aviagen’s business globally. Following his remarks, Magnus Swalander, Director of R&D at Aviagen, explained the genetic updates of the broiler poultry the company produces. He explained how Aviagen introduces the best strains of broiler poultry, which withstand the harshest environmental and nutritional conditions, while identifying the best practices in poultry farming to achieve optimal results and the highest return on investment. He also discussed Aviagen’s investments in R&D.
Michael Garden, Head of MEA for Aviagen, spoke about the company's business volume in the region, highlighting the importance of the Egyptian market to the company, and the future of its partnership with key poultry players in North Africa.

The last session was given by Mr. Puzant Dakessian, Head of the Poultry Sector at Wadi Group, who talked about the developmental plan for the Group’s poultry division, including the relocation of Wadi's poultry farms from km 49 and km 54 on Cairo-Alex Desert Road, to Toshka in southern Aswan. The new location has perfect conditions for poultry flocks and also ensure the implementation of the maximum level of bio security, in addition to its proximity to Wadi's markets in Sudan and Africa.
The day-long event was concluded with the exchange of commemorative gifts between Wadi Group and Aviagen, and the distribution of certificates of attendance for Wadi Group's key customers who participated in the activities.

بمناسبة مرور 25 عاماً على التعاون الاستراتيجي بين مجموعة الوادي وشركة أفياجين، الشركة العالمية الرائدة في إنتاج وتربية أفضل سلالات الدواجن، عقدت مجموعة الوادي "منتدى الوادي للدواجن" في القاهرة بحضور لفيف من المسئولين التنفيذيين في شركة أفياجين والإدارة العليا لمجموعة الوادي بالإضافة لكبار عملاء المجموعة من مربي دواجن التسمين وجدود الدواجن في مصر. تُعد شركة أفياجين من كبرى الشركات المتخصصة في إنتاج وتربية أفضل سلالات الدواجن والتأصيل الوراثي على المستوى العالمي. تضخ أفياجين استثمارات هائلة في التأصيل الوراثي وابتكار سلالات ذات خصائص وراثية مثالية لقطعان الدجاج اللاحم.

تضمن منتدى الوادي للدواجن مجموعة من الأنشطة والفاعليات التي بدأها المهندس/ عصام البحيري، رئيس القطاع التجاري في المجموعة بكلمة ترحيب بالحضور، ثم ألقى المهندس/ طوني فريجي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الوادي كلمة افتتاحية رحب فيها بالحضور من عملاء الشركة وخبراء أفياجين، كما تناول أهم المحطات في مسيرة تعاون المجموعة مع أفياجين طوال ربع قرن.
بعد ذلك تحدث السيد/ توم اكسلي، رئيس قطاع الأعمال الدولية في أفياجين عن آخر المستجدات والانجازات التي قامت بها أفياجين على المستوى العالمي. تلا ذلك عرض تقديمي للسيد/ ماجنوس سوالاندر، مدير عام البحوث والتطوير في أفياجين المحدودة، والذي تناول الخصائص الوراثية لسلالات الدواجن اللاحمة التي تقوم الشركة بتطويرها، كما شرح كيفية الوصول لأفضل سلالة تتمكن من الإنتاج في ظل أصعب الظروف البيئية والغذائية، وأفضل الممارسات التي تتيح للمربي تحقيق النتائج المرجوة من القطيع. تطرق اكسلي أيضاً لحجم استثمارات الشركة في مجال البحوث والتطوير على المستوى العالمي.
واختتم السيد/ مايكل جاردن، مدير منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا في أفياجين مجموعة العروض التقديمية للشركة، حيث تناول حجم أعمال الشركة في المنطقة، وأهمية السوق المصري، ومستقبل التعاون مع مجموعة الوادي وكبرى شركات الدواجن في شمال أفريقيا.
يقول السيد/توماس اكسلي، رئيس قطاع الأعمال الدولية في أفياجين: "تفخر أفياجين بتعاونها المتميز طوال هذه السنوات مع مجموعة الوادي التي تمثل واحدة من كبرى مجموعات الأعمال المتخصصة في قطاع الدواجن في مصر والشرق الأوسط. إنّ قطاع الدواجن يمثل بُعداً استراتيجيا لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي في مصر، ولهذا نتابع عن قرب جهود مجموعة الوادي للمساهمة في تحقيق هذا الهدف، وننظر بمزيد من الإعجاب لما تقدمه من سلالات وخدمات ومتابعة فنية متميزة للقطعان، وهو ما يتيح للطائر التعبير عن خصائصه الوراثية بصورة متكاملة، بما يمثل صفقة رابحة للجميع". بعد ذلك تحدث السيد/ بوزان داكسيان، رئيس قطاع الدواجن في مجموعة الوادي عن خطط تطوير القطاع في المستقبل، كما تناول الخطوات والاجراءات التي تقوم بها المجموعة لنقل مزارع الدواجن الخاصة بها من الكيلو 49 و54 بطريق مصر-الإسكندرية الصحراوي إلى منطقة توشكى بجنوب أسوان، نظراً لما تتمتع به تلك المنطقة من ظروف مثالية لضمان الأمن الحيوي لقطعان الدواجن، ولقربها أيضاً من أسواق الشركة في السودان وأفريقيا. اختُتم اليوم بتبادل الدروع والشهادات بين مجموعة الوادي وأفياجين، وتوزيع شهادات التقدير على الحضور من كبار مربي الدواجن اللاحمة في السوق المصري.
