AUC TO DISCUSS “CELEBRATING FAILURE” DURING RCC CLOSING CEREMONY



WHAT 
A panel discussion, “celebrating failure,” organized by The American University in Cairo (AUC) as part of the closing ceremony of the annual Research and Creativity Convention Week (RCC).
The panel will discuss how in the experience of many iconic researchers, failure has helped pave the path for success. Throughout the session, academia leaders will share different stories of failure that helped shape their future, and explaining how successful individuals can start embracing risk after achieving a reasonable level of comfort with failure. Additionally, two awards will be presented during the closing ceremony, the Interdisciplinary Students Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation; as well as the Award for the Disciplines. The event will be followed by a musical performance.
The Research and Creativity Convention Week is a celebration of excellence in University research, entrepreneurship and creative achievement. The event aims to celebrate faculty, graduate and undergraduate research as well as creative achievements in all fields at AUC.

Panelists are: Amr Shaarawi, professor of physics and chair of the University Senate; Alaa-Eldin Adris, associate provost for research, innovation and creativity and Hoda Mostafa, director of Center for Learning and Teaching.
