Integrated Telecom Company (ITC), the leading Information and Communications Technology Company in Saudi Arabia and Sofrecom, an Orange Group subsidiary, signed an agreement to lead the Outside Plant (OSP) implementation and management in all regions of Saudi Arabia for the next 3.5 years and to provide planning, design and supervision expertise and knowledge transfer to ITC employees.
Signing this agreement comes as a step toward ITC’s commitment to the agreed plan with Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) for rolling-out high-speed fiber optic broadband internet in Saudi Arabia.
ITC is initiating site supervision for the development of the OSP infrastructure project that is in-line with the Saudi Vision 2030. Indeed, the National Transformation Plan 2020 aspires to spread the FTTH in 90% of the dense and urban areas by the year 2020. For that, ITC has announced a major expansion plan for its FTTH broadband network in various cities. The company is interested to acquire the services for site supervisions and project management for OSP implementation.
Leveraging its deep expertise in broadband internet technology, Sofrecom, part of the Orange Group, will partner to help ITC in the Planning & Design of the new FTTx network as well to supervise the implementation supervision covering 640,000 Households.
This Project will enable ITC to provide triple play services such as voice, high speed Internet and multimedia over IP, including high definition TV, video on demand and home entertainment via a Fiber to the User (FTTU) architecture.

وقّعت شركتا Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) الرائدة في مجال تكنولوجيا الاتصالات والمعلومات في المملكة العربية السعودية وSofrecom، وهي شركة تابعة لمجموعة Orange، اتفاقًا لقيادة عملية تنفيذ المحطة الخارجية (OSP) وإدارتها في جميع المناطق في المملكة العربية السعودية للسنوات الثلات والنصف المقبلة. كما يهدف الاتفاق إلى تأمين التخطيط، والتصميم، والخبرة، ونقل المعرفة إلى موظفي ITC.
ويأتي هذا الاتفاق كخطوة نحو وفاء شركة ITC بالتزامها بتطبيق الخطة المتفق عليها مع وزارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لتأمين الانترنت العالي السرعة عبرنشر الألياف البصرية في المملكة العربية السعودية.
وتشرف شركة ITC على تطوير مشروع البنية التحتية للمحطة الخارجية تماشيًا مع الرؤية السعودية 2030. فخطة التحول الوطنية 2020 تتطلع إلى نشر الألياف البصرية إلى المنازل في 90% من المناطق الريفية والمدن بحلول عام 2020. لذلك، أعلنت شركة ITC عن اعتماد خطة لتوسيع شبكة الألياف البصرية في مدن مختلفة.وتسعى الشركة إلى الحصول على خدمات الإشراف وإدارة المشروع من أجل تنفيذ المحطة الخارجية.
وبفضل خبرة شركة Sofrecom الواسعة في مجال تكنولوجيا الحزمة العريضة، ستتعاون الشركة التابعة لمجموعة Orange مع شركة ITC لتخطيط شبكة الـ FTTx الجديدة وتصميمها، وللإشراف على عملية التنفيذ التي تشمل 640000 منزل.
سيسمح هذا المشروع لشركة ITCأن تؤمن خدمات ثلاثية مثل خدمات الصوت، والانترنت العالي السرعة، والوسائط المتعددة عبر ميثاق الانترنت (IP)، بما في ذلك التلفزيون العالي التحديد، والفيديو حسب الطلب، والترفيه في المنزل من خلال الـ FTTU أو Fiber to the User.
