United Arab Emirates- March 7, 2018: Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, is launching the first French pavillion at OGWA 2018, the oil and gas sector’s largest event in the Sultanate of Oman. A renowned list of leading French oil and gas companies will be represented in the pavilion extending the latest knowledge, technologies and business opportunities to the attendees. The expertise, technological skills and innovation capacity of France’s firms continue to reinforce the international reputation when it comes to supporting the oil and gas industry, placing the country high in rankings of European exporters and a desired partner for regional initiatives.
In France, the oil and gas sector is fueled by excellence with one or two global leaders in most segments. Major players such as TOTAL which operates alongside numerous suppliers of equipment and services to the industry, will be one of the main exhibitors. Many other global giants such as CGG, and TECHNIP will also be present.
Generating 27% of the country’s GDP, but contributing 70% of its budget revenue, the hydrocarbon sector remains a key driver of Oman’s economy, in spite of an active policy of diversification. Despite the oil crisis, the government has maintained its ambitious investment and production targets (which it intends to attain through the use of the latest oil production technologies), with the country exceeding the one million barrels per day threshold for the first time in its history in 2016.
Now more than ever, the Sultanate of Oman is seeking to expand its activities both upstream and downstream, and to also develop its expertise in the two sectors. These are compelling reasons for French specialists to be present at OGWA, to learn about the country’s potential and identify prospective partners and end customers.

الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 07 مارس2018: ستقوم الوكالة الوطنية لدعم تنمية الاقتصاد الفرنسي دولياً "بيزنس فرانس" بتنظيم جناح فرنسي يشارك لأول مرة بفعاليات معرض ومؤتمر غرب آسيا للنفط والغاز (OGWA 2018) والذي يعد أكبر فعالية في قطاعي النفط والغاز بسلطنة عمان. وستشارك مجموعة شركات فرنسية رائدة ومشهورة في قطاعي النفط والغاز في الجناح الفرنسي وستعرض على الحاضرين أحدث خبراتها وتكنولوجياتها وكذا فرص الأعمال المتاحة. ومما لا شك فيه أن الخبرات والمهارات التكنولوجية والقدرات الابتكارية للشركات الفرنسية تساهم دوماً في تعزيز الشهرة الدولية لفرنسا على صعيد دعم صناعة النفط والغاز ويضعها في مرتبة متقدمة على مستوى جهات التصدير الأوروبية كما يجعلها شريك مطلوب لتنفيذ المبادرات الإقليمية.
ففي فرنسا تنفرد صناعة النفط والغاز بالامتياز حيث يتضمن كل قطاع تقريباً شركة أو شركتين لهما ريادة عالمية. ومن ثم سيشارك في الجناح عدة شركات نفط رئيسية من بينها مجموعة توتال التي تعمل مع العديد من موردي المعدات والخدمات الخاصة بهذه الصناعة. كما ستتواجد العديد من الشركات العملاقة عالمياً مثل شركتي سيه.جيه.جيه وتكنيب.
يمثل قطاع المحروقات 27% من إجمالي الناتج المحلي لسلطنة عمان غير أنه يمثل 70% من ايرادات الدولة مما يجعله محركاً رئيسياً لاقتصادها رغم تطبيق سياسة نشطة لتنويع مصادر الدخل. وعلى الرغم من أزمة النفط، حافظت الحكومة على استثماراتها وأهدافها الإنتاجية الطموحة (التي تعتزم تحقيقها من خلال استخدام أحدث تكنولوجيا إنتاج النفط) في إطار تخطي إنتاج البلاد لمليون برميل يومياً عام 2016 وهو رقم قياسي غير مسبوق في تاريخ السلطنة.
واليوم تسعى سلطنة عمان أكثر من ذي قبل للتوسع في أنشطتها سواء الخاصة بصناعات المنبع (التنقيب والإنتاج) أو بصناعات المصب (التكرير والمعالجة) فضلا عن تطوير خبرتها في القطاعين. ومن ثم ساهمت هذه الأسباب جميعاً في قيام المتخصصين الفرنسيين بالاشتراك في معرض ومؤتمر غرب آسيا للنفط والغاز (OGWA) بهدف التعرف على إمكانات الدولة وتحديد الشركاء المحتملين وكذا العملاء النهائيين.
