ABB solution to transform speed and efficiency of Egypt’s electric vehicle (EV) charging
As Egypt strives to reduce pollution and improve its environmental credentials, ABB has announced plans to supply the first of twelve Terra 53 multi-standard DC fast chargers to REVOLTA EGYPT, the first company to develop a comprehensive plan for the rollout of an electric vehicle infrastructure in Egypt.
REVOLTA EGYPT aims to drive EV technology into the growing Egyptian market as soon as possible, paving the way for auto dealers and customers to enjoy all the benefits of using EVs across the country.
ABB has been a pioneer in providing sustainable mobility solutions and, over the last eight years, the company has developed its portfolio to offer a range of fast charging solutions for both cars, buses and trucks. The Terra 53 combines industry standardization with fast charging technology to support all current and next generation vehicles. Its multi-protocol design allows for easy tailoring to support CCS and CHAdeMO 1.0, as well as the EN61851-1 standard for AC charging (Type 2, Mode 3).
Once the first Terra 53 has been successfully installed, REVOLTA EGYPT will showcase the charger to public officials and reputable car dealers in Egypt, and a further eleven identical chargers will be delivered by ABB for installation at petrol stations across the country.

The Terra 53 multi-standard DC charging station is a configurable single, dual or triple outlet 50 kW fast charging station, operational in hard weather conditions from - 35 degrees to + 55 Celsius. It is ideal for use at highway rest stops, petrol stations, car dealerships and busy urban areas, such as public parking lots.
Part of the ABB AbilityTM portfolio of connected solutions, remote condition monitoring and remote troubleshooting are also important advantages of ABB chargers. By connecting chargers, service solutions and people, ABB is able to diagnose more than 90 percent of the service cases remotely, solving over 60 percent of these cases without any site intervention in the past two years. This results in significant savings on downtime, traveling, transportation, human and physical resources.

وفي الوقت الذي تسعى فيه مصر للحد من التلوث و حماية البيئة، أعلنت شركة ABBعن خططها لتوريد أول 12 جهاز شحن سريع متعدد المواصفات من طراز Terra 53 إلى شركة ريفولتا مصر، وهي أول شركة تضع خطة شاملة لإطلاق البنية التحتية للمركبات الكهربائية في مصر.
وتهدف ريفولتا مصر إلى نشر تكنولوجيا شحن المركبات الكهربائية في السوق المصرية الواعدة في أقرب وقت ممكن، مما يمهد الطريق لتجار السيارات والعملاء للاستمتاع بجميع مميزات استخدام المركبات الكهربائية في جميع أنحاء البلاد.
وقد كانت ABBمن الشركات الرائدة في تكنولوجياوسائل الإنتقال الكهربائيةفعلى مدار 8 سنوات، قامت الشركة بإبتكار مجموعة متميزة من حلول الشحن السريع لكل من السيارات والحافلات والشاحنات. كما يتسم الشاحن الجديد TERRA 53 بموائمته مع مواصفات التصنيع لتكنولوجيا الشحن السريع بما يدعم جميع المركبات الحالية ومركبات الجيل القادم. فتصميم الشاحن الجديد متعدد الاستخدامات يتوائم بسهولة مع مواصفات كل منCCS CHAdeMO 1.0وايضا مواصفة EN61851-1للشحن علي التيار المتردد AC(نوع 2، حالة 3).
وبمجرد الانتهاء من تركيب أولTerra 53، ستقوم ريفولتا مصر بعرض هذا الشاحن على المسؤولين وكبار تجار السيارات في مصر، كما سيتم تسليم 11 جهاز شحن مماثل من قبل شركة ABB للتركيب في محطات الوقود في جميع أنحاء البلاد.

ويتميز شاحن التيار المستمر السريع متعدد المواصفاتTERRA 53 بأنه محطة للشحن يمكن تهيئته لشحن حتى ثلاثة مركبات من خلال منفذ بقدرة 50 كيلو واط، ويمكنه تحمل درجات الحرارة حتي أكثر من 55 درجة مئوية. ويعد الشاحن مثالي للاستخدام بأماكن توقف المسافرين علي الطرق السريعة ومحطات الوقود، ووكلاء السيارات والمناطق الحضرية المزدحمة، مثل مواقف السيارات العامة.
ومن جانبه أعرب المهندس أحمد رضوان مدير قطاع مغيرات السرعة و تحويل الطاقة عن سعادته بأن تكون ABB اول شركة في مصر تقدم أفضلتكنولوجيا لشاحن السيارات تيار مستمر فائق السرعة ويأمل أن تكون نقطقة انطلاق لمزيد من التعاون في هذا المجاللما له من مستقبل واعد في مصر والمنطقة نحو تحول متنامي لاستخدام احدث التقنيات العالمية الصديقة للبيئة و التي من شانها ضمان حياة مجتمعية افضل في المستقبل القريب
ويتسم شاحنTERRA 53 بخاصية رصد الحالة واستكشاف الأخطاء وإصلاحها عن بعد والتي تعد من أهم مزايا أجهزة الشحن التي يتم تقديمها تحت مظلة مجموعة الحلول المتطورة ABB Ability TM. فعلى مدار العامين الماضيين تمكنت ABB من استخدام بروتوكولات الاتصال ما بين أجهزة الشحن وحلول الخدمات المقدمة والافراد لتشخيص أكثر من 90 % من حالات الخدمة المقدمة عن بعد، وحل أكثر من 60 % من هذه الحالات دون أي تدخل بموقع الشاحن مما يوفر كثيرا في زمن انقطاع الخدمة ووقت السفر والتنقل وايضا في الموارد البشرية والمادية.
