In an exclusive cooperation and the first of its kind in the Arab world
Egypt_ Alexandria, 31 December 2017: Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and Marasi News signed a protocol for media collaboration that aims at highlighting the great economic capabilities infatuated by the Arab maritime sector. The agreement also reinforces the strategic role of the Arab Academy as one of the most important educational organizations that provides the maritime sector with trained and qualified cadres in accordance with the highest scientific and practical standards.
The agreement comes with a slogan “Towards an integrated Arab maritime sector focusing on innovation and excellence”, in order to benefit from the great potentials available in the Arab region, especially its strategic geographical location and the advanced maritime infrastructure that is capable of supporting the economics in the Arab region.
The agreement was signed at the headquarter of the Academy in Alexandria by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and Mrs. Effat Fawzy Mostafa, the PR & Communication Manager at Tactics Marketing Management and the Managing Editor of Marasi News. That was with the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam Dawood, the Vice President for the Maritime Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Dr. Mohammed Al Sayeh, Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Transport and Technology, Mr. Moataz Kams, the Director of the Media Department and Her Highness Princess and Captain. Sarah Al Saud, the Director of Maritime Business Development at the Academy in addition to a high delegation of senior officials from the Academy.
Commenting on this occasion, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, stated that: “The Arab Maritime Sector has always been in need for a specialized and professional media partner that will transfer to the world the great success and achievements of the Arab countries in the maritime field. This has encouraged us to sign a protocol agreement with Marasi News media platform after the great success that they have achieved with their professional media coverage, as well as the huge presence of their team amongst officials and decision makers in the maritime region.”
He added: “And with the increasing interest of the Arab countries in the Maritime economy sector, where they are allocating billions of dollars to develop ports infrastructure, shipyards and offshore oilfield facilities. Egypt’s membership in the International Maritime Organization’s Executive Council for category C and the UAE’s winning the membership of the Executive Council for category B is a historic opportunity for us to play a large role in the international maritime industry.”
The media is responsible for rebuilding the image of the Arab seafarer among the youth to encourage them to benefit from the exceptional education and qualifying opportunities we offer to them. We hope that our graduates from all the countries in the region will be a strong national pillar that we can depend on to take the initiatives and develop the Arab maritime economy.
On another note, Mr. Mohammed Bin Dakhin Al Matroushi, the Editor in Chief in Marasi News commented: “The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport is one of the largest educational institutions in the Arab region. The media cooperation protocol contained several articles, including advertising for the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and its strategic vision, as well as content production and writings about the Academy’s activities and projects, to publish and distribute them through Marasi News and Marasi Yachts Magazines, the website marasinews.com, Marasi News Online TV and the social media. The agreement also aims at enhancing the media presence of the leaders and partners of the academy in the maritime events and conferences in the region, especially in the UAE. In addition to promoting and marketing the educational and consulting services in the Gulf region and Jordan.
Mr. Abdelghani Abu Ghazaleh, the General Manager of Tactics Marketing Management and the Content Advisor in Marasi News clarified, “AASTMT offers unlimited opportunities for students seeking educational services to ensure that they are able to graduate and work in a required fields in the market with high financial income compared to other sectors. الأسكندرية_ 31 ديسمبر 2017: وقع الأستاذ الدكتور/ إسماعيل عبد الغفار إسماعيل فرج رئيس الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري ومنصة مراسي نيوز الإماراتية المتخصصة في الإعلام الملاحي بروتوكولاً للتعاون الإعلامي والترويج، والذي يسعى إلى تسليط الضوء على القدرات والإمكانات الاقتصادية الكبيرة التي يمتلكها قطاع الملاحة العربي والدور الاستراتيجي الذي تقوم به الأكاديمية العربية بإعتبارها إحدى أهم المؤسسات التعليمية التي ترفد هذا القطاع بالكوادر البشرية المؤهلة والمدربة بأعلى المعايير العلمية والعملية.
وتأتى الاتفاقية لتحقيق شعار; نحو قطاع بحري عربي متكامل، عنوانه الابتكار وثقافته التميز;، ليستفيد من القدرات الكبيرة التي تمتلكها المنطقة العربية على صعيد الموقع الجغرافي الاستراتيجي والبنية التحتية الملاحية المتقدمة والقادرة على أن تشكل رافعة شاملة لاقتصادات المنطقة العربية.
وتم توقيع الاتفاقية في مقر الأكاديمية بأبى قير في الإسكندرية، من قبل الدكتور/ إسماعيل عبد الغفار،رئيس الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري، والسيدة/ عفت فوزي مصطفى، مدير العلاقات العامة والاتصال في شركة تاكتكس للإدارة التسويقية، مدير تحرير منصة مراسي نيوز الإعلامية، وبحضور الدكتور/ محمد عبد السلام داوود نائب رئيس الأكاديمية للشئون البحرية، والدكتور/ محمد السايح عميد كلية النقل البحري والتكنولوجيا والأستاذ/ معتز خمس مدير إدارة الإعلام، وصاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة القبطان/ سارة آل سعود مدير تنمية الأعمال البحرية بالأكاديمية العربية إلى جانب وفد من كبار المسئولين لدى الأكاديمية .
وفى غضون ذلك صرح الدكتور/إسماعيل عبد الغفار، رئيس الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري قائلاً "لطالما احتاج قطاع الملاحة العربي إلى ذراع إعلامي متخصص ومهني ينقل للعالم الكم الكبير من النجاحات والإنجازات التي تمتلكها الدول العربية في هذا المجال، وهو الأمر الذي دفعنا لتوقيع بروتوكول التعاون مع منصة مراسي نيوز الإعلامية بعد النجاح الكبير الذي حققته المنصة على مستوى التغطيات الإعلامية المتميزة والمهنية، فضلاً عن الحضور الميداني الكبير لفريق عملها بين المسؤولين وصناع القرار البحري في المنطقة العربية".

ويتحمل الإعلام مسؤولية إعادة بناء الصورة الذهنية للبحار العربي لدى فئة الشباب لزيادة إقبالهم على الاستفادة من فرص التعليم والتأهيل الاستثنائية التي نقدمها لهم، وليشكل هؤلاء الخريجون من دولة الإمارات بعضوية المكتب التنفيذي عن الفئة (ب) فرصة تاريخية للعب دور أكبر عربي فاعل في صناعة المشهد الملاحي الدولي، ويتحمل الإعلام مسؤولية إعادة بناء الصورة الذهنية للبحار العربي لدى فئة الشباب لزيادة إقبالهم على الاستفادة من فرص التعليم والتأهيل الاستثنائية التي نقدمها لهم، وليشكل هؤلاء الخريجون من دول المنطقة الدعامة الوطنية القوية التي تقوم عليها مبادرات تنمية الاقتصاد البحري العربي.
