Al Khobar, January 9, 2017—For the 5th consecutive year, Dubai-based QnA International hosted the Saudi Trade Finance Summit (STF) from November 14-15 at the Movenpick Hotel, Al Khobar. The exclusive, invitation-only Summit facilitated discussions and debate on the continued growth and evolution of global trade, including the demand for innovative products and solutions.
Embarking on adopting new trends and instituting preparations for the upcoming changes will assist in achieving Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification plan, which places emphasis on the development of the country’s non-oil sectors. Simply adopting these trends will be insufficient in the long run. Therefore, to capitalize on these trend by implementing and integrating them into the economy, policy documents such as the Vision 2030 and NTP 2020 provide a roadmap. These policy documents provide guidelines for the development of various sectors including tourism, mining, IT, and services, while also recognizing the importance of foreign direct investment, joint ventures and private-public partnerships in laying the foundation in the medium term.

Sidh N.C, Director, QnA International said, “Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the GCC and an economic and political force for change across the wider MENA region. We heard from the Kingdom’s influential senior finance professionals and decision-makers, as the Kingdom races ahead with its economic diversification and continued modernisation policies. Under Saudi Vision 2030, we have witnessed a number of ground-breaking developments over recent months, including advances to boost transport, health, oil and gas, SMEs and health. As these policies continue to support economic diversification, financial institutions and corporates will in turn be supported to achieve sustainable growth.”
SMEs too will play an important role in Saudi Arabia’s diversification plans by providing numerous business opportunities and employment. “Beside large exporters, it is imperative to encourage SMEs to look at overseas markets, particularly GCC and other Middle Eastern countries to expand business. Banks together with government agencies, large corporates, ECAs and Insurance companies should come together to create an eco-system that support overall SME growth,” commented Roy, echoing sentiments shared and discussed at the Summit of the financial sector’s role in the SME sector.
Key insights on Islamic banking were also shared during the course of the Summit. Roy stated that “Islamic banking remains the preferred choice amongst mid-market and SME local businesses. Therefore, financial institutions continue to adopt proactive approach to solve issues plaguing Islamic banking such as product development, documentation, lack of standardization and induction of trained human capital.”

القمة السعودية لتمويل التجارة ناقشت الرؤى الرئيسية حول تنمية التمويل التجاري في المملكة
(الخبر، 9 يناير 2017) – للعام الخامس على التوالي، نظمت شركة "كيو ان ايه انترناشونال" القمة السعودية لتمويل التجارة والتي عقدت يومي 14 و15 نوفمبر الماضي في فندق موفينبيك مدينة الخبر. القمة الحصرية للمدعوين فقط قدمت العديد من الجلسات النقاشية والحوارية بشأن استمرار نمو وتطور التجارة العالمية، بما في ذلك الطلب على المنتجات والحلول المبتكرة.
وسيساعد الشروع في تبني هذه الاتجاهات وإعداد التحضيرات للتغيرات القادمة في تحقيق خطط التنويع الاقتصادي للمملكة، والتي تركز على تنمية القطاعات غير النفطية في البلاد وتوفر وثائق السياسات مثل رؤية 2030 وبرنامج التحول الوطني 2020 خارطة طريق لتطوير مختلف القطاعات بما في ذلك السياحة والتعدين وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والخدمات، مع الاعتراف أيضا بأهمية الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر والمشاريع المشتركة والشراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص في وضع الأساس في المدى المتوسط.
"إن التغيرات المستمرة في أنماط الاستهلاك وانخفاض أسعار السلع الأساسية وترشيد المشاريع والتركيز على الرقمنة وكفاءة العمليات والنمو في التجارة بين الأقاليم وازدياد قوة الشركاء التجاريين الآسيويين هي بعض الاتجاهات الرئيسية التي تؤثر على السعودية". هذا ما أكده السيد أروب روي، رئيس قسم التجارة العالمية والتمويل في البنك السعودي البريطاني.
ومن جانبه قال السيد سيد ان سي، المدير العام لشركة "كيو ان ايه انترناشونال"، " ان للمملكة العربية السعودية أكبر اقتصاد في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، حيث تعتبر قوة اقتصادية وسياسية للتغيير في جميع أنحاء منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا. ولقد سمعنا من كبار مدراء قطاع التمويل في المملكة وصناع القرار، ان المملكة تنطلق من تنوعها الاقتصادي وسياسات التحديث المستمرة. وفي إطار الرؤية السعودية لعام 2030، شهدنا عددا من التطورات الرائدة على مدى الأشهر الأخيرة، بما في ذلك التقدم الملحوظ في تعزيز النقل والصحة والنفط والغاز والمؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة والصحة. وبينما تواصل هذه السياسات دعم التنويع الاقتصادي، ستدعم المؤسسات المالية والشركات بدورها لتحقيق النمو المستدام ".
اما الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة فستلعب أيضا دورا هاما في خطط التنويع الاقتصادي في السعودية من خلال توفير العديد من فرص العمل والتوظيف. فقد ناقشت القمة العديد من الآراء حول دور القطاع المالي في دعم الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، فأضاف روي "إلى جانب المصدرين الكبار، لا بد من تشجيع الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة على النظر إلى الأسواق الخارجية، وخاصة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ودول الشرق الأوسط الأخرى لتوسيع نطاق أعمالها. ويتعين على البنوك مع الوكالات الحكومية والشركات الكبيرة ووكالات التأمين وشركات التأمين أن تتضافر لخلق نظام بيئي يدعم النمو الشامل للمشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم ".
كما تم تبادل الأفكار الرئيسية حول الخدمات المصرفية الإسلامية خلال مؤتمر القمة. وأوضح روي أن "الخدمات المصرفية الإسلامية لا تزال الخيار المفضل بين المؤسسات المتوسطة والشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة. ولذلك، اتخذت المؤسسات المالية زمام المبادرة لحل القضايا التي تعاني منها الخدمات المصرفية الإسلامية مثل الوثائق المفرطة، وعدم توحيد المعايير، وندرة رأس المال البشري المؤهل".
اما ان سي فأضاف "تعتبر التجارة جزءا لا يتجزأ من الاقتصاد الإقليمي وباعتبارها القوة الدافعة في المنطقة، فإن السعودية في وضع فريد لتسهيل التغيير الذي سيدفع مستقبل التجارة. فخلال المؤتمر، كان من دواعي سرورنا أن نسمع اراء كبار العاملين والخبراء في القطاع المالي السعودي حول سلسلة من المواضيع. لقد تعلمنا وناقشنا نهجا جديدة للتحديات القائمة والقادمة، ومن ثم ناقشنا القضايا المتعلقة بالتنفيذ والإدارة. وكانت هذه هي المرة الأولى التي يعقد فيها مؤتمر القمة في العاصمة التجارية للمملكة في الخبر، مما يعكس تركيز المملكة على القطاعات الاقتصادية والصناعية الرئيسية خلال هذه الأوقات من التغيرات والتحديات العالمية الهامة".
قمة التمويل التجاري السعودية استضافت كبار العاملين والمسؤولين في القطاع المالي وأفضل وألمع المدراء التنفيذيين والماليين وقادة الفكر ومدراء التغيير في القطاع، إضافة الى كبار المسؤولين من الحكومة والهيئات التنظيمية والمالية والمؤسسات، ومقدمي التكنولوجيا، وشركات التأمين الائتمانية والشركات الاستشارية وتمويل سلسلة التوريد والممولين المناوبين. وقد اقيمت القمة في فندق موفنبيك مدينة الخبر يومي 14-15 نوفمبر 2017 وكانت للسنة الخامسة على التوالي.
