The Your Car, Your Project program supports economic mobility and provides greater earning potential for Careem Captains
Cairo, Egypt, 11 December 2017 – Careem, the region’s leading app-based car booking service, in cooperation with Sarwa Capital, is providing Captains with a tailor-made car ownership program to help them fully reap the economic benefits of their work instead of splitting benefits with the car owner. The launch of Your Car, Your Project will facilitate car ownership for Careem Captains, who typically find it challenging to buy a car and often split their income with car owners or car providers. Specifically developed for Careem Captains, the program will allow them to pay for their car installments through their work on the Careem app.

Careem’s unique employment model centers on creating jobs for everyone, serving as a driver of economic growth and a local job creator with a difference for thousands of Egyptians. Careem’s Captains are categorized by employment status and age groups. Around 23% of Careem Captains are private-sector employees whereas 12% work for the public sector. About 29% of Careem’s Captains don’t have another job and depend solely on Careem as their primary source of income, while 20% are freelancers. Careem’s model seeks Captains beyond the standard employment demographic by creating job opportunities for retirees (6%) and university students (10%).

Careem nurtures a positive work environment with equal and fair opportunities for all employees. To become a Careem Captain, candidates must be presentable, hold a driver's license, a national ID number and submit a criminal records’ certificate. In addition, all Captains are required to undergo a drug test and have their cars tested (engine, breaks, body, and interior). It is also mandatory for new Captains to partake in the training provided by Careem on customer satisfaction and how to use the app as well as pass the relevant exam. Careem has an open-door policy for Captains and welcomes their feedback.

القاهرة في xx دسيمبر2017-أعلنت كريم، الشركة الرائدة في حجز السيارات الخاصة عبر تطبيق الهاتف الذكي في المنطقة، عن تعاونها مع شركة ثروة كابيتال في إطلاق برنامج لشراء وتملك السيارات مصمم خصيصاً لكباتن كريم، بهدف مساعدتهم على حصد الفوائد الاقتصادية الناتجة عن عملهم بشكل كامل بدلاً من الحصول على حصة محددة نتيجة عدم امتلاكهم للسيارات التي يعملون عليها. وسيعمل برنامج "عربيتك...مشروعك" على تسهيل امتلاك كباتن كريم للسيارات، خاصة في ظل التحديات التي يواجهونها عند شراء سيارة جديدة وهو ما يضطرهم في أغلب الأحوال لاقتسام الإيراد الناتج من السيارة مع مالكها أو الجهة المقدمة لها. تم تصميم البرنامج خصيصاً لكباتن كريم، حيث يتيح لهم سداد أقساط السيارة التي يقومون بشرائها من خلال دخولهم عن طريق تطبيق كريم.

ويعتمد نموذج كريم في خلق فرص عمل جديدة على اتاحة الفرصة أمام كل شخص كي يصبح أحد كباتن الشركة، بما يدعم النمو الاقتصادي في مصر، ويجعل كريم شركة مبتكرة في تقديم الوظائف لعشرات الآلاف من المصريين. وبالنظر لتصنيف كباتن كريم من حيث الحالة الوظيفية والفئة العمرية، نجد أنّ حوالي 23% من كباتن كريم من موظفي القطاع الخاص، و12% يعملون في القطاع العام والحكومي، بينما يعمل 29% منهم ككابتن في كريم فقط دون أي جهة أخرى، وهو ما يجعله معتمداً على دخله من كريم كمصدر دخله الوحيد والرئيسي، وتبلغ نسبة الكباتن الحرة في كريم 20%. تسعى كريم أيضاً لتشغيل كباتن خارج نطاق الفئات العمرية والوظيفية والمجتمعية المعتادة، عن طريق تقديم فرص عمل للمحالين على المعاش وطلبة الجامعة، حيث تبلغ نسبتهما ضمن كباتن كريم 6% و10% على التوالي.

و تسعى كريم لخلق بيئة عمل ايجابية ومثمرة تتيح فرص متساوية وعادلة أمام الجميع. وحتى يتمكن أي مرشح من الانضمام لشبكة كريم، يجب أن يكون حسن المظهر والسلوك، ولديه رخصة قيادة وبطاقة رقم قومي سارية مع تقديم صحيفة الحالة الجنائية. بالإضافة لذلك، يُشترط على الكباتن اجتياز اختبار الكشف عن المخدرات، مع خضوع السيارات لفحص شامل يتضمن المحرك والفرامل والهيكل الخارجي والداخلي للسيارة. وقبل الالتحاق بأسطول كريم، يجب على الكابتن المشاركة في الدورة التدريبية الخاصة بكيفية استخدام التطبيق وتحقيق رضاء العملاء، واجتياز الاختبار الذي يُعقد في نهاية الدورة. وتطبق كريم دائما سياسة الباب المفتوح للكباتن، وتتعامل مع ملاحظاتهم ومقترحاتهم بكل عناية.
