More than 400
delegates and exhibitors will represent the Arab banking and financial sector
at Sibos 2017
Toronto/Dubai, 15 October – SWIFT, a member-owned cooperative and global
provider of secure financial messaging services, announces today that more than
400 delegates and exhibitors from the Arab region will take part in Sibos 2017,
which will be held in Toronto from 16-19 October.
Over 8,000 banks, financial and securities
institutions, regulators, corporate customers and service providers meet at
Sibos every year to discuss the key issues shaping the global financial
industry.
Under the theme of ‘Building for the Future’, the 2017 conference programme will look
at major industry trends including cybersecurity, financial crime compliance, artificial
intelligence (AI), the impact of geopolitical and regulatory shifts, and data
and identity.
Sido Bestani, SWIFT’s Head of Middle East, Turkey and
Africa, says: “For nearly 40 years, Sibos has brought together decision makers,
business leaders and financial experts to network, collaborate and make sense
of changes in the industry.
This year, delegates from the Middle East will engage with regional and global
experts in Toronto.”
Over 400 delegates and exhibitors from the United Arab
Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon have
already registered.

at SWIFT, says: “The Middle East hosted Sibos in 2013 at the Dubai World Trade
Centre. Since then, regional support for Sibos has grown year on year. Middle
Eastern banks want to be part of the global conversation about the future of
the industry, its challenges and opportunities, since they are at the forefront
of adopting the latest technology to increase efficiencies and better serve
their customers.”
The 2017 programme will be structured around four main
streams: banking, compliance, securities and technology. The banking stream
will cover the future of payments and the challenges facing correspondent
banking. There will also be sessions exploring new collaboration models for
banks and corporates, with increased demand from treasurers for speed,
transparency and traceability in cross-border payments and a renewed push on
digitisation in the trade finance sector. The compliance stream will look at
developments in financial crime compliance and how banks are responding. The
securities stream will examine how regulatory changes are shaping market
infrastructures, and how the market players are responding. Finally, the
technology stream will consider the profound impact that breakthrough
technologies are having on financial services, and how they can deliver value
to customers as well as address the challenges of cybersecurity. Other themes
like AI, blockchain and fintech ventures will be tackled.

تورونتو/دبي، 15اكتوبر - أعلنت "سويفت"، المؤسسة التعاونية المملوكة لأعضائها من
المصارف والمؤسسات المالية والموفر العالمي لخدمات الرسائل المالية الآمنة، اليوم
أن أكثر من 400 مندوب وعارض من المنطقة العربية سيشاركون في
مؤتمر "سايبوس 2017" (Sibos 2017) الذي
سينعقد في تورنتو في الفترة ما بين 16 و19 أكتوبر.
يجتمع أكثر من 8,000 مصرف
ومؤسسة مالية ومؤسسة للأوراق المالية وهيئة تنظيمية وعملاء من القطاع المؤسسي
وقطاع موفري الخدمات في مؤتمر "سايبوس" في كل عام لمناقشة أهم القضايا
التي تسهم في تشكيل القطاع المالي.
ينعقد مؤتمر هذا العام تحت مسمى
"البناء من أجل المستقبل" حيث سيستعرض برنامج مؤتمر 2017 الاتجاهات
المتغيّرة في القطاع المالي، بما في ذلك الأمن الإلكتروني والامتثال والذكاء
الاصطناعي (AI) وتأثير التغييرات الجيوسياسية والتنظيمية
والبيانات والهوية.

"سويفت" في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وتركيا وإفريقيا: "يجمع ’سايبوس‘
على مدى 40 عاماً صُنّاع القرار وروّاد الأعمال والخبراء الماليين للتعارف
والتعاون وفهم واستيعاب التغييرات في القطاع. وهذا العام، سيجتمع المشاركون من
منطقة الشرق الأوسط مع الخبراء من المنطقة ومن حول العالم في تورنتو."
وقد سجّل لحضور المؤتمر أكثر
من 400 مندوب وعارض من الإمارات العربية المتحدة
والمملكة العربية السعودية والكويت والبحرين وعُمان ومصر والأردن ولبنان.

الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا لدى "سويفت": "لقد استضافت منطقة الشرق
الأوسط مؤتمر ’سايبوس‘ في عام 2013 في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي. ومنذ ذلك الوقت،
ينمو الدعم الإقليمي لـ ’سايبوس‘ من عام لآخر. فالمصارف في منطقة الشرق الأوسط
تودّ أن تشارك في الحوار الدائر حول مستقبل القطاع وحول التحدّيات والفرص لكونها
من الأوائل في تبنّي أحدث التقنيات من أجل تعزيز الكفاءة وتقديم خدمة أفضل
لعملائها."
سيتمحور برنامج مؤتمر 2017
حول أربعة مواضيع رئيسية، هي الخدمات المصرفية والامتثال والأوراق المالية
والتكنولوجيا. وسيغطّي موضوع الخدمات المصرفية مستقبل المدفوعات والتحديات التي
تواجهها المصارف المراسلة. كما وستنظم جلسات تتناول موضوع أنماط التعاون للمصارف
والمؤسسات في ظلّ الطلب المتزايد من أمناء الخزينة على السرعة والشفافية وقابليّة
التتّبع في المدفوعات العابرة للحدود والطلب المتجدّد على الرقمنة في القطاع
المالي التجاري. أما موضوع الامتثال فسيناقش التطورات في مجال الامتثال لقوانين
الجرائم المالية وكيف تستجيب لها المصارف. وسيناقش موضوع الأوراق المالية كيف تسهم
التغييرات التنظيمية في تشكيل بنى السوق وكيف يستجيب لاعبو السوق لهذه التطورات.
وأما موضوع التكنولوجيا، فسيناقش التأثير الكبير الذي تحدثه التقنيات التي تشكل تطوراً
بارزاً في الخدمات المالية وكيف تستطيع هذه التقنيات أن تقدم القيمة للعملاء وكذلك
كيف تواجه تحديات الأمن الإلكتروني. سيناقش المؤتمر أيضاً مواضيع مثل الذكاء
الاصطناعي و"بلوك تشين" ومشاريع التقنيات المالي.
