Cairo, May 10, 2017: Global energy group Total, and Careem,
the region’s leading app-based car booking service, signed an agreement today launching
a joint road safety campaign in Egypt spanning multiple activations to raise
awareness, contributing to safer roads.
The Total-Careem road safety
initiative - launching in Cairo and Alexandria as a first phase - will share
safety enhancing tips via social media, outdoor and radio platforms. Total will
sponsor Careem’s mobile application and run promotions customized for Careem
users at Total stations and Bonjour
shops. Total customers will also enjoy free Careem rides through promotional codes.

According to the Central Agency for
Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) and the World Health Organization report
issued in 2015 on the mortality rate from car accidents, Egypt ranked 16th in
the Arab world and 109th globally out of 180 countries with 12.8 deaths per
100,000 people. Human error represented 64% of the causes of road accidents in
2015, followed by the technical condition of the vehicle with 21.9%, and road conditions
at 2.4%. Private cars caused the highest number of accidents at 36.8%, followed
by transport vehicles at 27.8%, and finally taxis at 18.9%.

مايو 2017: وقعت مجموعة توتال العالمية، وشركة
كريم الرائدة في توفير سُبُل النقل الخاص عبر تطبيقات الهاتف الذكية في منطقة
الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا ، اتفاقية لإطلاق حملة مشتركة للتوعية بالسلامة على
الطريق في مصر، والتي تتضمن العديد من الفعاليات لتحقيق السلامة على الطرق
المصرية.
وفي إطار مبادرة
توتال وكريم للسلامة على الطريق – التي انطلقت في القاهرة والإسكندرية كمرحلة أولى
– سيتم نشر التوصيات التي تهدف لدعم السلامة، وذلك عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي والإعلانات
الخارجية على الطرق وبرامج الإذاعة. وسوف ترعى شركة توتال تطبيق الهاتف المحمول
لشركة كريم وتطلق مجموعة من العروض المصممة لمستخدمي تطبيق كريم في محطات توتال
ومحلات بونجور. وسوف يستمتع عملاء توتال أيضًا برحلات مجانية ورحلات مخفضة من شركة
كريم من خلال الأكواد الترويجية.

ووفقًا لتقرير الجهاز
المركزي للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء وتقرير منظمة الصحة العالمية الصادر في 2015 عن
معدل الوفيات الناتجة عن حوادث السيارات، احتلت مصر المركز السادس عشر في العالم
العربي والمركز 109 عالميًا بين 180 دولة، بمعدل 12.8 حالة وفاة بين كل 100 ألف
شخص. ويمثل الخطأ
البشري 64% من أسباب حوادث الطرق في 2015، متبوعًا بالحالة الفنية للمركبات بنسبة 21.9%، وظروف الطرق
بنسبة 2.4%. وسجلت السيارات الخاصة أعلى نسبة حوادث تبلغ 36.8%، ثم جاءت سيارات
النقل في الترتيب الثاني بنسبة 27.8%، تبعتها سيارات التاكسي بنسبة 18.9%.
