AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY ECDCS ORGANIZE THE SIXTH EMPLOYMENT FAIR IN COOPERATION WITH AUC

WHAT

The 2017 annual employment fair organized by The Employability and Career Development Centers (ECDCs) at Ain Shams University (ASU). The fair provides a forum for students and graduates of Ain Shams University to meet with representatives of 49 participating multinational and local companies/organizations from different industries, including  engineering, fast moving consumer goods, banking, retail and information technology fields. The fair is generating around 250 career opportunities for Ain Shams students and alumni.

The ASU ECDCs were inaugurated in January 2015 as a result of an agreement between Ain Shams University and The American University in Cairo (AUC), with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). AUC’s Career Center provided its technical expertise and trained the ECDC staff to become certified career development facilitators. To date, the ECDC has served more than 18,000 ASU students, providing them with career guidance services throughout their career planning process. The services include career development workshops, resume writing assistance, interviewing skills practice and job search preparation. ECDC also offers English courses, employability skills training and other technical development sessions to provide the students with the skills required in today’s job market.
