The Newest Addition to Grand Hotel Tremezzo is Villa Sola Cabiati, an Elegant 18th-Century Residence to Host Unforgettable Events

DUBAI, UAE – February 6, 2017 – Season after season, Grand Hotel Tremezzo finds new and unforgettable ways to ensure guests receive a remarkable experience, and the 2017 season, starting on March 6th, is no different. A 10-minute walk from the hotel, Villa Sola Cabiati, a unique historic villa on the shores of Lake Como, will be available to host exclusive events and the most special of occasions, sure to leave guests with vivid memories to last a lifetime.
An 18th-century villa, and historic residence of the Dukes of Serbelloni, Sola Cabiati features refined Baroque architecture and décor throughout its spacious three-storey layout. Favoured by Duke Gabrio Serbelloni as the summer home for his family in the latter 1700s, frescoed rooms, ornate stucco work, vast arabesque gardens and pretty blue shutters greet guests today just as they did centuries ago.
While the ground and first floors showcase the family’s original furnishings, the top floor hosts a private museum that is open by appointment, and displays violins, fine china, and furnishings from Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan, where Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife briefly stayed; the palazzo was bombed in 1943, but the furnishings were moved to Villa Sola Cabiati just days before the incident, saving these treasures to be seen and appreciated today.
For guests of Grand Hotel Tremezzo, this villa, replete in rich Italian heritage, offers up unique opportunities for extraordinary events – such as a grand wedding spread across the residence’s expansive gardens and ornate interiors. Villa Sola Cabiati is open for unique experiences – such as the ideal dis moi oui proposal setting for unparalleled romance. Day rentals of the villa offer experiences limited only by the imagination, and after being transferred to the residence by boat or car, a day of dining on a chef-prepared barbecue or enjoying a private picnic, lounging by the relaxing pool situated in the back of the villa, and dedicated butler service will make any guest feel like the royalty who whiled away their summers here.
Previously available to be rented primarily as a private property, Grand Hotel Tremezzo has taken on Villa Sola Cabiati to allow its guests further access to the unique historic residence, making it an extraordinary and exclusive addition to a Lake Como holiday. Those indulging in the villa can expect find a whole new set of experiences – starting with visits where family portraits are created by an artist, and another where a fabulous treasure hunt for children is laid out, the hotel will be continually looking for new and interesting ways to enhance the holidays of guests at Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
