University dedicates 2016 Award to H.H. Hamdan Bin Mohammed for his continuous support to smart learning
ICT-Enhanced Feedback Systems wins Middle East Gold Category for effective role in optimizing online learning environments
UAE, January 21, 2017 – H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), has dedicated the University’s recent winning of Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Award 2016 to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and University President, as a sign of appreciation, loyalty and gratitude for the latter’s ongoing support for the march of equipping the youth with science and knowledge as they are the sole, constant, dominant weapons in this life.
HBMSU won the Gold Award under the Middle East category of Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Award 2016, a prestigious international award which recognizes the world’s best higher education innovations held recently on the sidelines of the 2016 Reimagine Education Conference in Philadelphia, USA. The University was recognized for excellence and leadership in successfully implementing its ICT-Enhanced Feedback Systems for Optimizing Learning in the Online Environment in line with the rapid changes spurred by smart transformation.
H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan lauded the unparalleled support and continued efforts of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed in enabling HBMSU to lead international achievements in the field of smart learning. He underlined how H.H.’s confidence serves as a driving force for the University to continue with its quest towards enriching knowledge, encouraging scientific research, and instilling a culture of innovation and excellence within the educational and academic industry to help boost smart learning and contribute effectively to envisioning and shaping the future.

The ICT-Enhanced Feedback Systems to Optimize Learning in Online Environment project is specifically designed to improve the performance of learners and develop their skills and potentials through the optimal use of cutting-edge ICT tools such as BlackBoard Collaborate. During last year’s edition of the Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Award, HBMSU bagged first place in the same category in recognition of its Smart Campus initiative which has made a major footprint in the smart learning sector in the UAE as a smart platform for addressing the needs of learners and academic and administrative staff through a wide portfolio of integrated smart services based on the latest technologies and applications to ensure an easy and integrated experience catering to the aspirations of users.

الإمارات، 21 يناير2017 – أهدى معالي الفريق ضاحي خلفان تميم، نائب رئيس الشرطة والأمن العام في دبي رئيس مجلس أمناء "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية"، "جائزة كيو. إس ووارتون للتميز في التعليم العالي 2016"، التي حصدتها الجامعة مؤخراً، إلى سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي الرئيس الأعلى للجامعة، كعربون تقدير ووفاء وعرفان لسموه على دعمه المستمر لمسيرة تزويد الشباب بالعلم والمعرفة باعتبارهما السلاح الوحيد والدائم والقوي في هذه الحياة.
وحازت "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" على الميدالية الذهبية عن فئة الجوائز الإقليمية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط خلال حفل توزيع "جوائز كيو. إس ووارتون للتميّز في التعليم العالي 2016"، إحدى أهم الجوائز العالمية رفيعة المستوى المعنية بأساليب التعليم العالي المبتكرة، والذي نظمته مؤخّراً "مؤسسة كيو. إس. لتصنيف الجامعات" على هامش "مؤتمر ري ايماجين إديوكيشن 2016" في مدينة فيلادلفيا الأمريكية. وجاء ذلك تقديراً لتميز وريادة الجامعة في تنفيذ مشروع "أنظمة إدارة التغذية الراجعة المعززة"، الذي يمثل نقلة نوعية على صعيد الارتقاء بتجربة التعليم العالي في البيئات الرقمية، بما يتماشى مع المتغيرات المتسارعة التي يفرضها التحول الذكي.
وثمّن معالي ضاحي خلفان الدعم اللامحدود والاهتمام الكبير الذي يوليه سموه لتمكين الجامعة من قيادة مسيرة الإنجازات العالمية على خارطة التعليم الذكي، مؤكداً بأنّ ثقة سموه الغالية تمثل دافعاً قوياً لاستمرار الجامعة في تبني نهج التميز في إثراء مخزون المعرفة وتحفيز البحث العلمي وغرس ثقافة الإبداع والابتكار والتميز ضمن الميدان التربوي والأكاديمي ودفع عجلة التقدم في قطاع التعليم الذكي، للإسهام بفعالية في استشراف وصنع المستقبل.

وأضاف العور: "لم يأتِ الفوز بالميدالية الذهبية عن فئة الجوائز الإقليمية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط خلال حفل توزيع "جوائز كيو. إس ووارتون للتميّز في التعليم العالي" للعام الثاني على التوالي من فراغ، وإنما جاء تتويجاً لمسيرتنا الحافلة بالتميز والريادة في تطوير المنظومة التعليمية في دولة الإمارات والعالم العربي. ويدفعنا الإنجاز الأخير إلى تطوير المزيد من المشاريع المبتكرة والمبادرات السبّاقة، التي تعزز مكانة "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" كأنموذجاً عالمياً ومشروعاً حضارياً لاستشراف وصنع المستقبل بالاعتماد على أساليب تعليمية وأكاديمية إبداعية تتواءم مع ملامح عصر المعرفة."

ويجدر الذكر بأنّ مشروع "أنظمة إدارة التغذية الراجعة المعزّزة" مصمّم خصيصاً لتحسين أداء الدارسين وتنمية المهارات والإمكانات الطلابية من خلال التوظيف الأمثل لأحدث أدوات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتّصالات المتطورة، مثل نظام الفصول الدراسية الافتراضية "بلاك بورد كولابوريت". وكانت "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" قد حازت على المركز الأوّل عن فئة الجوائز الإقليمية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط خلال دورة العام الماضي من "جوائز كيو. إس ووارتون للتميّز في التعليم العالي"، وذلك تقديراً لمبادرة "الحرم الجامعي الذكي" التي أحدثت نقلة نوعية في قطاع التعليم الذكي في دولة الإمارات، باعتبارها منصة ذكية مصمّمة خصيصاً لتلبية احتياجات الدارسين وأعضاء الهيئة التدرسية والإدارية على حد سواء عبر محفظة واسعة من الخدمات الذكية المتكاملة التي تستند إلى أحدث التكنولوجيا والتطبيقات لضمان تقديم تجربة سهلة ومتكاملة ترقى إلى مستوى تطلّعات المستخدمين.
