His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opens Intersec 2017
Dubai, UAE: Intersec 2017, the world’s largest trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection, got underway at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre today (22 January), featuring 1,304 exhibitors from 58 countries.
The 19th edition of the annual showcase was flagged off by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who was accompanied by senior government officials, organisers, and high-ranking representatives from the regional security industry.
Running for three days and spanning 56,300sqm, Intersec 2017 is five per cent larger than the previous edition, underscoring the prevalent opportunities in a regional security and fire safety market that will more than double in size over the next five years.
According to analysts Frost & Sullivan, the Middle East commercial security, homeland security, and fire safety market was worth a combined US$12.9 billion in 2016, and is estimated to grow 15 per cent annually, reaching US$26.3 billion by 2021.
At the opening ceremony today, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor, said: “The UAE is committed to using the latest in security technologies to ensure the safety and welfare of all its residents and visitors.
“As the foremost international trade fair for the security industry, Intersec provides an important platform for engagement and interaction with leading international experts and plays a key role in enhancing the safety and security of the region.”
Intersec 2017 spreads over seven sections of Commercial Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Homeland Security & Policing, Information Security, Smart Home & Building Automation, and Physical & Perimeter Security. The international significance is emphasised by the presence of 13 country pavilions from Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, UK and the USA.
“The continued growth of Intersec draws attention to the fact that there remains a tremendous amount of potential to be unlocked in the Middle East security, safety, and fire protection markets,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of organiser, Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
“With 83 per cent of exhibitors based outside of the UAE, Intersec is truly a global event. Its role is not only to provide a vital business networking platform, but to educate and inform about the latest technologies and trends driving the market.”
Commercial Security is the largest section at Intersec, with 486 exhibitors, including 17 of the world’s top 20 security solutions providers. Milestone Systems from Denmark is participating for its 8th straight year, and is bringing its largest stand yet with the latest video management software and open platform IP video technology in tow.

Elsewhere, CCTV manufacturer and system provider Pelco by Schneider Electric is launching Exsite Enhanced – a high definition explosion proof camera designed to handle harsh environments such as Oil & Gas facilities. Pelco Global Vice President of Sales, Philippe Roux, said their key focus is on industry verticals such as Oil & Gas, municipal surveillance, hospitality and commercial, and he sees positive years ahead in the wider region.
“The security systems market continues to grow in the Middle East and Africa with major countries gearing up for large global events like the Dubai Expo 2020, and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar,” said Roux.
“The price of oil is also showing an upward trend, which will revive some of the large projects in the Oil and Gas market, while most Middle East Governments have increased their security budgets for 2017.
“These developments indicate continued growth in the professional surveillance and security market, and we anticipate owning a major share of this growth as we introduce new and exciting technologies, system solutions and product offerings with the best support in the industry,” added Roux.
Meanwhile, British car maker Jaguar Land Rover will rub shoulders with 98 other exhibitors in the Homeland Security & Policing section, and will shine the spotlight on its purpose-built armoured vehicles, including the Range Rover Sentinel.
John Graham, the Global Strategy Manager for Armoured Vehicles at Jaguar Land Rover said the company is hoping to make further inroads in the regional market through Intersec 2017, and is making the Range Rover Sentinel available for immediate sale.
“We’re particularly interested in reaching police and security services, government bodies, embassies and very high net worth persons with security requirements,” said Graham. “There’s a growing awareness that OEM armoured products are superior in terms of holistic protection than aftermarket vehicles, and threats are becoming more severe resulting in a need for higher levels of armoured protection.”
Key features this week at Intersec 2017 include an Outdoor Demo Area & Drone Zone, a Jobs & Careers Pavilion, the Techtextil Pavilion, a Safety Design in Buildings Pavilion, and a Smart Home and Building Automation Pavilion.
A three-day conference programme, meanwhile is spearheaded by the Fire Safety Conference on 22nd January, where the Dubai Civil Defence is announcing the updated codes on UAE Fire Safety and Life Protection; and the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) Forum, where details about Dubai’s new Regulation of Security Industry Law will be provided.

افتتح سمو الشيخ منصور بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم معرض "إنترسك 2017" في دورته التاسعة عشرة، صباح اليوم (الأحد الموافق 22 من يناير) بمركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض الذي يستمر حتى الثلاثاء 24 يناير.
وأشاد سموه خلال جولة الافتتاح برفقة عدد من كبار المسئولين الحكوميين وممثلين رفيعي المستوى للصناعة الأمنية في المنطقة، بمستوى الشركات والمؤسسات المشاركة من القطاعات الحكومية والمحلية والدولية.
وخلال الافتتاح قال سمو الشيخ منصور بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم: "تلتزم دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة باستخدام أحدث التقنيات الأمنية لضمان سلامة ورفاهية جميع سكانها وزائريها.
وتابع سموه قائلا: "ويعد إنترسك المعرض التجاري الدولي الأبرز لصناعة الأمن حيث يوفر منصة هامة للمشاركة والاحتكاك بأبرز الخبراء الدوليين فضلا عن دوره الرئيسي في تعزيز سلامة وأمن المنطقة" .
يشارك في هذه الدورة الأكبر والأفضل تمثيلاً 1304 عارضاً من 58 دولة. حيث سجلت مساحة المعرض 56,300 متر مربع لهذا العام زيادة بنسبة 5% مقارنة بالدورة السابقة.
تستمر فعاليات المعرض على مدى ثلاثة أيام ، حيث تشهد دورة إنترسك 2017 نموا في المساحة بنسبة 5 % مقارنة بالدورة السابقة، وهو ما يؤكد على الفرص الهائلة في سوق الأمن والسلامة بالمنطقة والتي يتوقع أن تسجل نموا مضاعفا خلال السنوات الخمسة القادمة.
وتفيد شركة فروست آند سوليفان للأبحاث التحليلية أن حجم سوق الأمن التجاري، الأمن الوطني، والوقاية من الحرائق في الشرق الأوسط في 2016 بلغ 12.9 مليار دولار، ومن المتوقع أن يشهد نموا بنسبة 15 % سنويا ليصل حجمه بحلول 2021 إلى 26.3 مليار دولار.
يضم إنترسك 2017 سبعة أقسام هي الأمن التجاري، الحرائق والإنقاذ، السلامة والصحة، الأمن الوطني والشرطة، أمن المعلومات، البيوت الذكية وأتمتة المباني، الأمن البدني والمحيطي. كما تتأكد الأهمية الدولية التي يحظى بها المعرض من خلال مشاركة 13 جناحا دوليا من كندا، الصين، فرنسا، ألمانيا، هونج كونج، الهند، إيطاليا، كوريا، باكستان، سنغافورة، تايوان، المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة.
وأوضح أحمد باولس الرئيس التنفيذي في ميسي فرانكفورت الشرق الأوسط، الشركة المنظمة للمعرض، قائلا: "إن النمو الدائم الذي يسجله معرض إنترسك يلفت الانتباه إلى حقيقة أنه لا يزال هناك قدر هائل من الفرص الكامنة التي يمكن استغلالها في سوق الأمن والسلامة والوقاية من الحرائق بالشرق الأوسط".
"وفي ظل نسبة المشاركة من خارج الإمارات التي تصل إلى 83 % يعد إنترسك معرضا عالميا بحق، لا سيما وأن دوره لا يقتصر على توفير منصة حيوية لتواصل الأعمال، وإنما التوعية والتعريف بأحدث التقنيات والتوجهات المحركة للسوق".
ويعد الأمن التجاري أكبر أقسام إنترسك حيث يشارك به 486 عارضا من بينهم 17 من بين أكبر 20 موردا للحلول الأمنية في العالم. كما تشارك Milestone Systems الدنمركية للعام الثامن على التوالي بأكبر منصاتها على الإطلاق وتقدم أحدث برمجيات إدارة الفيديو إلى جانب تقنية فيديو IP المنصة المفتوحة.
وقال توماس لوستن، نائب رئيس Milestone Systems في أوروبا، الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا: "لقد شهدت منظمة Milestone في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا توسعا شاملا خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية تخللها تنفيذ العديد من الأعمال الكبرى".
وأضاف: "من حماية المناطق السياحية والكنوز الثقافية الهامة إلى أبرز مراكز التسوق، وأهم وجهات التجزئة والترفيه تقوم Milestone وشركاؤها بإدارة المراقبة متعددة المواقع والعمليات الأمنية على مستوى منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بكل فعالية. وقد أثبت اقتران تقنياتنا الفريدة بأفضل العاملين في الصناعة نجاحها ونفخر الآن كوننا الرائد السوقي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، أوروبا وأفريقيا".
كما تشارك Pelco صانعة ومورد كاميرات مراقبة الفيديو المغلقة من شنايدر الكتريك، حيث تطلق Exsite Enhanced – كاميرا عالية النقاوة ضد التفجيرات مصممة للعمل في الأجواء القاسية مثل مرافق النفط والغاز. وصرح فيليب روكس، نائب الرئيس العالمي للمبيعات في "بيلكو" بأن الشركة تركز على القطاعات الصناعية الرئيسية مثل النفط والغاز، مراقبة البلديات، الضيافة والأماكن التجارية، ويتوقع أن تشهد السنوات المقبلة نتائج إيجابية على مستوى المنطقة".
وتابع روكس قائلا: "تواصل سوق الأنظمة الأمنية نموها في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا في ظل استعداد دول رئيسية لأحداث عالمية كبرى مثل دبي إكسبو 2020 وبطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم في قطر ".
وأضاف: "كما تسجل أسعار النفط توجها تصاعديا، وهو ما سيحيي عددا من المشاريع الكبرى في سوق النفط والغاز، فيما زادت أغلب حكومات الشرق الأوسط ميزانياتها المخصصة للجانب الأمني في 2017".
"تشير هذه التطورات إلى استمرار النمو في سوق المراقبة الاحترافية والأمن، ونتوقع أن يكون لنا نصيب من هذا النمو لما نقدمه من منتجات وتقنيات، وحلول أنظمة جديدة ومثيرة فضلا عن عروض المنتجات والدعم الأفضل في الصناعة".
وفي سياق متصل يشارك صانع السيارات البريطانية جاكوار لاند روفر إلى جانب 98 عارضا آخرين في قسم الأمن الوطني والشرطة حيث تسلط الشركة الضوء على مركباتها المدرعة المصممة حسب الغرض، بما في ذلك رانج روفر سنتينل.
وقال جون جراهام، مدير الاستراتيجيات العالمي للمركبات المدرعة في جاكوار لاند روفر أن الشركة تأمل في تعزيز حضورها في السوق الإقليمية من خلال إنترسك 2017، وستتيح مركبة رانج روفر سنتنل للبيع الفوري.
وأضاف: "نحن مهتمون تحديدا بالوصول إلى الخدمات الشرطية والأمنية، الهيئات الحكومية، السفارات والشخصيات الهامة جدا التي تتطلب حماية أمنية. هناك إدراك متنام بأن منتجات OEM المدرعة تتفوق أكثر من ناحية الحماية الشاملة على المركبات التقليدية، كما أن التهديدات باتت أعنف ما وهو ما يؤدي إلى الحاجة إلى مستويات أعلى من الحماية المدرعة".
ومن أبرز فعاليات المعرض هذا الأسبوع منطقة العروض الحية الخارجية ومنطقة الطائرات بدون طيار، جناح الوظائف والمهن، جناح تكتكستل، وجناح السلامة في تصميم المباني، وجناح البيوت الذكية وأتمتة المباني.
كما يتضمن المعرض برنامج مؤتمرات على مدى ثلاثة أيام يتصدره مؤتمر الوقاية من الحرائق في 22 يناير، والذي يطلق من خلاله الدفاع المدني في دبي تحديث دليل الإمارات للسلامة من الحرائق وحماية الأرواح، ومنتدى مؤسسة تنظيم الصناعة الأمنية "سيرا" والذي يتم من خلال الكشف عن التشريع الجديد لقانون الصناعة الأمنية.
