Cleaning Services Industry Looking at Exponential Growth

Western expats highest users of cleaning and maid services in Dubai

In a survey conducted by VIS the organisers of Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW), western expats were seen to be the biggest users of cleaning and maid services in the UAE. Areas like Arabian Ranches, Dubai Marina, and Mirdif have the highest intake of cleaning services in Dubai. Residents from these affluent areas have their homes cleaned every alternative day.

"The last few years has seen a shift towards an increased preference for superior services offered by third party cleaning companies--even if they have a resident maid cleaning for them. This can be attributed to the more than satisfactory performance of their services, especially in Dubai where the quality of the service being offered is in compliance with set international standards and best practices. As a result, more and more homes and offices have placed their trust and confidence in companies like us to help maintain their facilities," said Jamal Abdullah Lootah, CEO, Imdaad. 

The survey also looked at pest control services and found that on average residents use the service at least once a year. Commercial enterprises like restaurants are more frequent users, up to three time a year. Villa residents with a garden are the biggest users of pest control services as areas like Arabian Ranches have a lot of ants.

“The harsh summer climate here often brings unwanted guests to your home, a huge number of pest control complaints we receive from Dubai residents involve ants. Villas with a garden, in residential communities, would likely need pest control service for ants and other pests on a scheduled basis. Cockroach and bedbug infestation is another issue we are often called for at homes and restaurants. our integrated portfolio of waste management services also compliments our pest control services to offer an integrated solution for Pest Control and Waste Management Services,” says Malik Hassan, General Manager, AKI Environmental Services.

The survey also looked at offices in Media city, JLT, Dubai Silicon Oasis. There is an even split on cleaning services provided by the building management and companies relying on third party cleaning services. Cleaning services provided by the building management clean offices on a daily basis, whereas third party services are used at least twice a week.

“Cleaning services industry in the region is growing with a lot of demand for specialised cleaning services from residential and small office customers. They not only demand a high quality of service but also sophistication in addressing issues that involve chemical treatment of water, pest control and management of drainage systems. MECTW we are aiming to bring together leading industry experts and practitioners who will share their knowledge on cleaning standards, emerging trends and new technologies, as well as other vital issues that need to be addressed by the cleaning professionals,” says Jayaraman Nair, Chairman, VIS Exhibitions and Conferences – organiser of MECTW.

MECTW is region’s largest event that brings together cleaning service providers, equipment, and chemicals suppliers to discuss trends and showcase green cleaning products and innovations. The event will feature new pavilions dedicated to waste management, sewerage, and sanitation, and specialised cleaning for the year 2016.  MECTW features three platforms such as Gulf Laundrex and Linen Care Expo, Gulf Car Wash and Car Care Expo as well as the Clean Middle East Pulire. The event will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 13 – 15 November this year.

المغتربين من البلدان الغربية يسجلون أعلى مستوى للاعتماد على خدمات التنظيف والخادمات في دبي

دبي ، الإمارات العربية المتحدة : أشار استطلاع أجرته شركة ’فيرتشوال إنفو سيستمز للمؤتمرات والمعارض‘، وهي الجهة المنظمة لـ ’أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف‘، إلى أن السكان من البلدان الغربية يمثلون الشريحة الأكبر من المعتمدين على خدمات التنظيف والخادمات في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وتستأثر المناطق الراقية - مثل المرابع العربية، ودبي مارينا، ومردف- بأعلى نسبة للاستعانة بخدمات التنظيف على مستوى دبي، علماً أنه يتم تنظيف منازل سكان هذه المناطق مرّة كل يومين.

وتعليقاً على ذلك، قال السيد جمال عبدالله لوتاه، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ’إمداد‘ المتخصصة بتزويد حلول إدارة المرافق المتكاملة: "شهدت السنوات القليلة الماضية تحولاً لافتاً نحو تفضيل الخدمات المتميزة التي تقدمها شركات التنظيف من أطراف ثالثة، وذلك بما يشمل توفير خادمات مقيمات للاهتمام بأمور التنظيف. ويعزى ذلك إلى الأداء المرضي جداً لخدمات تلك الشركات، وخاصة في دبي التي تنسجم جودة الخدمات المقدمة فيها مع أرقى المعايير والممارسات الدولية. ونتيجة لذلك، يولي مستخدمو الكثير من المكاتب والمنازل ثقتهم للشركات الرائدة- مثل ’إمداد‘- من أجل إدارة مرافقهم بالشكل الأمثل".كما سلط الاستطلاع الضوء على خدمات مكافحة الآفات والحشرات، حيث أظهر أن المقيمين يستخدمون هذا النوع من الخدمات كمعدل متوسط مرةً واحدة على الأقل سنوياً، في حين تلجأ المؤسسات التجارية، مثل المطاعم، للاستعانة بهذه الخدمات بوتيرة أكبر تصل إلى 3 مرات سنوياً. كما يعتبر سكان الفلل المزودة بحدائق من أكثر المستخدمين لخدمات مكافحة الآفات والحشرات خاصة في المناطق التي تتواجد فيها كميات كبيرة من النمل مثل المرابع العربية.

بدوره، قال مالك حسن، المدير العام لشركة AKI للخدمات البيئية : "يتسبب المناخ الحار بقدوم زوار غير مرغوب فيهم إلى منازلنا، إذ نتلقى من المقيمين في دبي عدداً كبيراً من الشكاوى المتعلقة بمكافحة الآفات والحشرات لاسيما النمل. ونرجح أن تحتاج الفلل المزودة بحدائق في مناطق مثل المرابع العربية، إلى توافر خدمات مكافحة النمل وغيرها من الحشرات مرتين سنوياً. كما نتلقى شكاوى من المنازل والمطاعم بخصوص انتشار الصراصير وبق الفراش". و يضيف مالك حسن " كما نقدم مجموعة حلول متكاملة من خدمات إدارة النفايات إلى جانب خدمات مكافحة الآفات و الحشرات .

علاوةً على ذلك، شمل الاستطلاع المكاتب في مدينة دبي للإعلام، ومنطقة جميرا، وواحة دبي للسيليكون؛ حيث تم رصد انقسام بين الأفراد المستطلعة آراؤهم حول الخدمات التي تقدمها إدارة المباني على أساس يومي، والشركات التي تقدم خدمات التنظيف من أطراف ثالثة مرتين على الأقل أسبوعياً.

من جانبه، قال السيد جايارام ناير رئيس شركة ’فيرتشوال إنفو سيستمز‘، الجهة المنظمة لـ ’أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف‘: "يشهد قطاع خدمات التنظيف في المنطقة نمواً لافتاً، مع تسجيل معظم الطلب على خدمات التنظيف المتخصصة من عملاء الوحدات السكنية والمكاتب الصغيرة. حيث يتطلّب أولئك العملاء أعلى مستويات الجودة للخدمة، ودرجة رفيعة من التطوّر أثناء مواجهة المشكلات المتعلقة بالمعالجةالكيميائية للمياه، ومكافحة الآفات والحشرات وإدارة شبكات الصرف الصحي. ونهدف من خلال ’أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف‘ إلى توفير منصة تجمع كبار الخبراء والعاملين في القطاع بهدف تبادل المعارف حول معايير النظافة والتوجهات الناشئة والتقنيات الجديدة، إضافة إلى مناقشة القضايا الحيوية الأخرى التي تتطلب المعالجة من المهنيين بمجال التنظيف".

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن معرض ’أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف‘ يعتبر الفعالية الأكبر في المنطقة التي تجمع مزودي خدمات التنظيف وموردي معدات التنظيف والمواد الكيميائية تحت سقف واحد لمناقشة أحدث الاتجاهات واستعراض أهم المنتجات والابتكارات في مجال التنظيف صديق البيئة. وتنطوي فعالية هذا العام على أجنحة جديدةً مخصصة لإدارة النفايات، والصرف الصحي، والتعقيم، والتنظيف المخصص. ويضم المعرض 3 منصات رئيسية هي: ’معرض غولف لاندريك- لينن كير‘، و’معرض غولف كار ووش- كار كير‘، و’معرض كلين ميدل إيست بولير‘. ومن المقرر أن تقام هذه الفعالية خلال الفترة بين 13-15 نوفمبر 2016 على أرض ’مركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض‘.
