Elaf Group reinforces wide range of services to meet rising demand
June 26, 2016 - With the number of Umrah visas issued by embassies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year reaching 5.67 million with more than 5 million already having entered the Kingdom, hospitality experts and local travel operators are seeing a surge in travel bookings to Makkah and Madinah in 2016 and are expecting a further increase over the coming weeks towards the end of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently announced that Umrah pilgrims this year could reach up to 7 million, with more than 1.2 million coming from Egypt followed by more than 900,000 visas issued to pilgrims from Pakistan and around 655,000 visas issued to Indonesians. The Ministry noted that this year has already recorded a 5 per cent rise in Umrah pilgrims – a figure that is expected to soar 30 per cent by 2020.

26 يونيو 2016 - يتوقّع الخبراء ووكالات السفر المحلية في المملكة العربية السعودية زيادة ملحوظة في حجوزات السفر إلى المدينتين المقدّستين خلال العام الجاري وتحديداً خلال الأسبوعين القادمين بالتزامن مع إنتهاء شهر رمضان المبارك. وتأتي هذه التوقّعات نظير إصدار السفارات السعودية حول العالم ما يصل إلى 5.67 مليون تأشيرة عمرة خلال العام الجاري، والتي تم إستخدام ما يزيد على 5 مليون منها حتى الآن.
كما أعلنت وزارة الحج والعمرة مؤخّراً عن توقّعات بأن يصل عدد المعتمرين هذا العام إلى 7 مليون معتمر، منهم 1.2 مليون معتمر من مصر وأكثر من 900،000 معتمر من باكستان وحوالى 655,000 معتمر من إندونيسيا. وأكّدت الوزارة أيضاً أن قطاع الحج والعمرة قد حقّق نمواً ملحوظاً بواقع 5 بالمائة خلال العام الجاري، وسط تقديرات بأن يسجّل قفزة كبيرة بنسبة 30 بالمائة بحلول العام 2020.
