Giardino Ascona Celebrates 30 Years of Swiss Luxury this Summer with a Four-Day Extravaganza and New Wellness Services

DUBAI, UAE – June 2016 – Giardino Ascona, the first of Giardino Group’s properties, opened its luxurious Mediterranean-inspired doors in 1986, and this July marks the renowned “Soul Retreat’s” 30th anniversary. Nestled on Lake Maggiore in Ticino, Switzerland, Giardino Ascona has honed the art of nonchalant luxury, setting a global standard for stylish wellness escapes with its contemporary décor, unrivalled hospitality and five-star facilities. To mark this momentous milestone, the resort invites guests, alongside its original general manager, Hans C. Leu as master of ceremonies, to join in the four-day celebrations that include a classic-car tour, gala evening and many other festivities taking place from 1st-4th July.
In addition, Giardino Ascona has recently announced the introduction of Ayurveda cures and therapies through its celebrated 1,300-sqm dipiùSpa with Umesh Tejasvi, the author of My Ayurveda, leading the brand-new programme. Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of medicine and natural healing that originated in India based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a harmonious balance between mind, body and spirit. The spa has become a destination in its own right, a haven of rejuvenation and well-being, boasting both an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna zone, Jacuzzi, seven treatment rooms and fitness and relaxation areas.
Giardino Ascona is known as the “Soul Retreat” not only for these excellent spa facilities and extensive treatment menu, but also for its beautiful location and laid-back approach to luxury. Situated amid lush gardens abundant with colourful blooms and framed by the striking silhouette of the Ticino Mountains, each of the 72 guest rooms and suites within the Italian-style villa possess calming views from their private balcony or terraces and a contemporary yet comfortable décor in warm, natural tones accented by a splash of vivid colour.
Taking advantage of its prime positon in the Italian region of Switzerland, the resort seeks inspiration from its neighbouring country’s flavours and ingredients, highlighting them throughout its gastronomic offerings. Feast on creative, aromatic cuisine at the focal Aphrodite Restaurant or embark on an unforgettable culinary journey at the two-Michelin-starred Ristorante Ecco.
While there is never a bad time to enjoy some rest and relaxation at Giardino Ascona, this summer is the ideal opportunity to escape the soaring temperatures and experience both the jovial, celebratory atmosphere surrounding its anniversary alongside stunning scenery of one of Europe’s most famous lakeside locations.
